Going here was hands down, one of the greatest experiences I've ever had anywhere in the world, let alone NYC.
I came here for Thomas Preti's, most recent party, toward the end of last year. They continuously said it was a, "party vertical." So I came expecting a three floor party but what I encountered was a full on performance!
The party started on the first floor, where there were models on stilts walking around, a live band playing on a beach with a volleyball net, 2 areas with free open bars, and multiple booths with chefs serving up all sorts of free food. WOW
We hear the slight rumbling of thunder and are told that that means the party is moving to the next floor. Some people choose to walk up the stairs but this friendly staff lady told my friends and I to wait in line at these huge doors, that some people are lining up at because it's a more fun experience; she wasn't kidding.
These doors were to a HUGE elevator shaft. I think something like 50 of us got in. It was one of those freight elevators that you could imagine elephants being carried in. My friend even yelled, "all aboard Noah's Ark!" The sides were open so that you could see the walls going by. A very memorable experience.
When the doors opened up, we came to find that floor 2 was a classier situation. Another live band was performing here, there were numerous restaurant styled areas with chefs serving up specialty foods with special shots at each booth as well. There was also another full open bar to the far wall and an interesting model show of some sort, going on.
Finally on the top floor, there were more bars setup with champagne, a photobooth, a dj, etc. They really did it big here and then on the way out, we all got these delicious gourmet bags of caramel popcorn. Good Lord, I'm looking forward to the next event here! read more
