Walked directly in to the lobby reception and was greeted by two friendly desk associates. The check in required photo identification for both of us. Clear instructions to the Dr Office on the first floor. DR CHOI's office: Checked in by Kelly~ friendly and efficient. Nearly immediately checked with procedures and sent us to X~ray registration on level one lobby. ( this seemed like the only redundant process) there was no line, so we were able to check in quickly with the friendly desk representative who knew we were on our way- Good communication between Kelly at Dr Choi's office and Radiology reception. Within minutes we were on the way to 2nd floor radiology. RADIOLOGY: smooth arrival experience ( I recommend that you snap a photo of your script for your records before handing it over. They were accommodating for this when we asked, this may save time from having to ask for records later. WAITING: one other patient was in the waiting room when we arrived. The waiting room is organized, well lit, and clean. There is a TV The wait was reasonable and brief about 7 minutes. Erica and student Tammy greeted us and requested the script ~ we directed them to the desk agent. Within a minute, they left for X-ray. More pleasant staff. All is going smoothly for Radiology. I have spent over an hour trying to resolve a simple issue: my pharmacy never received the antibiotic prescription that was ordered for me. My first call to 845-243-7100 was transferred to a live representative. After answering, she placed me on hold for approximately 22 minutes. Instead of returning to the call, an automated message eventually informed me that my issue could not be addressed at that time, and the call was disconnected. I called back several times afterward. On one occasion, the phone rang for six minutes with no answer. On another call, I was transferred again to a live representative, but the phone rang for an additional ten minutes before I gave up and hung up. I called again, waited through another five minutes of ringing, and still received no assistance. At that point, I called back and requested to speak with a supervisor or manager. I was connected to a woman and explained my experience, including being placed on hold for 22 minutes and then disconnected. Ironically, it turned out to be the same employee who had handled my first call. Her response was simply, "We are busy here," after which she hung up on me. As I write this, I am still trying to obtain the antibiotic prescription that was prescribed on Sunday as my finger is throbbing today and I am terribly sensitive to infections if I have cuts. I am currently on hold again, and the phone has been ringing for another 15 minutes. This level of customer service by phone in urgency is unacceptable. Patients should not have to spend hours after receiving service there and attempting to obtain a prescribed medication, especially an antibiotic that may be time-sensitive. Being repeatedly placed on hold, ignored, disconnected, and ultimately hung up on by staff is completely inappropriate and reflects very poorly on the practice. I would appreciate immediate assistance in ensuring that my prescription is sent to the Molloy pharmacy and that this matter is reviewed by management ASAP. The antibiotic prescribed was Doxycycline 100 mg.
