Yes, 5 stars.....for a radiology facility…read more Without getting into too much detail, I work in radiology myself - though am not affiliated with this establishment. I came here on a referral because I wanted to get seen as soon as possible and I'll admit I was also curious to see what the "competition" looked like. What I got was a pleasant surprise. The staff are great - friendly, welcoming, and professional. The waiting room is excellent and comfortable. I didn't wait longer than 5 minutes, but in this waiting room I wouldn't have complained waiting longer. It's like a comfortable waiting room with a table, tv, couch, chairs and the coffee machine. If someone is coming with you and waiting while you are doing your exam, they'll be just fine in this waiting room. I needed an MRI - though they do have CT scans, Ultrasounds, and x-rays here as well. The name "open" can be deceiving to some who are not in the know. Again, I come from radiology and have worked within these modalities, so I know what "open" means, but a claustrophobic person is likely thinking something else. It means essentially that the bore (tube) is wider than the coffin-like MRI machines of the past, which will give a more comfortable fit to some - of course it depends on the exam one is doing. The picture quality is of course very good as a 3T machine will deliver. The room itself is modern looking with a nice video monitor on the ceiling for those doing exams in which their head is out of the machine. The machine was fine and takes great pictures. I would imagine the CT machine as well as the other modalities here have the same basic layout. Everything from the changing room to the exam rooms were clean. When the exam was finished, they gave me a cd of the images after a few minutes (I picked up the report days later). Always important to wait for your images as you never know when they will be needed. They have a parking lot with enough spaces. The hours are up until 7pm, which are convenient for those who work during the day. So while there are facilities, offices, and hospitals that can offer up some of the same of what this place offers, this is a nice option for someone who wants a good service overall that they can depend on. I don't normally comment on such places because I do work in the field, but this was a nice place and I would surely come here again if needed one of these exams.

Due to accidental gluten ingestion, I have experienced over 40 hours of continuous vomiting and diarrhea, rendering me unable to retain fluids or my prescribed anti-emetic (Ondansetron/Zofran). Despite my history with this condition and the failure of my current medication, the Nurse Practitioner declined to administer IV hydration, citing that my vital signs appeared stable. While I acknowledge my vitals were within a normal range at the time of the exam, they do not accurately reflect the severity of my 48-hour inability to retain water. Furthermore, other Northwell Health locations confirmed via telephone that they would provide rehydration therapy based on my clinical history of fluid loss, regardless of momentary vital stability. The refusal to provide standard-of-care hydration under these circumstances felt less like a clinical decision and more like an avoidance of necessary treatment. My primary doctor (who is out of town) always prescribes a week of antibiotics and a steroid for roughly the last 40 years! That would be all I need to make me I feel better in a day or two. The P.A explained to me that she could not give me anything and the infection would have to take care of itself. I am writing this review, four days later with a fever and coughing violently as I type. The P.A made no effort to resolve my symptoms and sent me home with a bill for their services, despite the fact that they did NOTHING to help me. I feel they were utterly useless.

Driving to Boyce is easy sailing because it's right off the saw mill park way, not much traffic , the location has a lot of parking, there's an apple bee restaurant, Starbucks , taco and sushi place, even a gym is in the facility; the real estate is growing , I like the location, after, checking in, I was in the dr office with in mins. Dr increased the Dosage and added more medication. After the visit the registration scheduled the next Apt. the staff are great , friendly ,polite. Great atmosphere to be .

During my visit I expressed that I had been bleeding for almost 1 month. She prescribed me brith control and sent me on my way, said it was going to help stop the bleeding. My first encounter was really great and I left her office wanted to have her as my OB. When the birth control pills did not stop my bleed I began to feel a little concerned .. I decided to then reach out to Dr. Alvarado and let her know that the bleeding was still happening and that my pain was unbearable. She proceeded to tell me "Hi Genesis, Are you on the placebo or still on the regular hormonal pills? Long term, we can try other contraceptive options, but we can treat this surgically. Something to consider is whether or not you are considering children in the future. Of course, let us know if you are bleeding, 1 pad/hr or feeling lightheaded/dizziness. - Dr. A" I proceeded to reply the following "Hi Dr. Alvarado,I'm still on the hormonal pills i have a week left. I have cramping and changed my pad twice. Can you please explain more the children part because i do plan to have children" a bit confused because it seemed to me that fibroid would lead to this immediate decision. She then proceeded to call me because she could tell from my respond that I needed more clarity. She then proceeds to tell me that the surgery can result in me not having children because she previously had a patient whom she did the surgery on and it went wrong and now that patient is unable to have children. I can not express enough how this conversation affected me for weeks and for weeks I sat and really thought I would not be able to have children. Dr. Alvarado should've known better and she never say something like that to ANY patient ever again. I cancelled all future appointments with her and have found treatment elsewhere, I advise you do the same. And next time, please refer your patients to a specialist if something is not your scope of work.

I called quest customer service and the representative told me their last available slot is 10 min before closing, and it was well before that time. But there was nothing she could do about it. Not sure what the point of customer service is if they can't help the customer when a location refuses to provide service. Then the phlebotomist tells me that she normally would do it but has a family emergency and needs to get home. So I said well what about the other phlebotomist? Apparently she had an emergency and needed to leave too. So don't come here expecting to get service, it appears that the employees have too much going on in their personal life to actually do their jobs.

When I arrive I had to wait over an hour to be asked for insurance and script. Not for nothing, most RECEPTIONIST knows that billing and insurance are closed usually by 6 pm or 7 pm. Well the attempt was made to contact HORRIBLE US IMAGING and it "went to voicemail". Is t because it's after hours. Really? I took back my paperwork and left this outdated looking office with new wooden sticky floors located in a shopping plaza. This isn't my type of place but I need the service. NEVER WILL I GO TO ARDSLEY RADIOLOGY AGAIN! Although WESTMED is not great, their machines are modern and the wait time is short. I'm still pissed because I haven't eaten all day, I haven't had a break all day, I had to rearrange my schedule to accommodate THIS office appointment, I paid TOLLS, I paid GAS and mileage and I lost 2.5 hours of my time that I didn't have. This office address seems nice but it's low budget.
