    ZEDDY!!!
    Jebby T.

This post is specifically about Zellers @ Hudson's Bay Downtown Vancouver 3.25/5 Has potential. ZEDDY!! - You can never not have Zeddy present. There are two spots where the huge multicolor Zeddy canvas is present in the store. Zeddy, along with the mix of red and white, brings back nostalgic memories. GEMS/GOOD FINDS - I was excited to see a great selection of home goods. My good finds included the wooden serving boards and bamboo pantry shelves. They were very affordable and made with good quality (the serving board was thick and made with heavy wood). ANKO - NEW  - This is new to me and new to Zellers. Zellers has the exclusive distribution rights to Anko, a commercially successful line developed by Kmart Australia, which is now expanding globally with Canada being its first international market (https://retail-insider.com). Anko is known for its homeware, kitchenware, small furniture products, and toys. Location - It took me a few minutes to figure out where Zellers was located in the Hudson's Bay. The only signage I saw was by the directory/escalators. Zellers is located on the lower floor where Forever 21/Levi's is. There is no actual Zellers sign to indicate that you've entered "Zellers." You just see the huge multicolor Zeddy canvas and the red & white interior, and you know you're there. Sections - The sections that stood out to me include home goods, a surprisingly large pet-related section, children's toys, and clothing. Foot traffic - There were less than 10 people at Zellers at 5pm on Friday. It was pretty empty and sad. No food. I will check out the other Zellers locations to compare.

This beautiful building has been a shopping store for me and my mother and her mother ! Let's make sure we keep it alive and successful! It's a beautiful piece of history.

I only go to this Bay if I am coming out of the skytrain station into the mall. Every time I walk in I don't think I really have anything I need. Its probably the layout that doesn't attract me in buying. Bay is bay seems like its a fancier old navy store. I don't find their stuff are quality things. Eventhough its not their brand that they are selling. I don't really like shopping here.

    Furla! I want !!

I love the Bay! Always some sale or promotion ! Decent prices, good selection . Coach, Juicy, (for handbags) Guess Betsy Johnson (for accessories) Dior, Chanel, Lancome, MakeupForever, and many more Beauty & Skincare products. Its rare I leave here empty handed.

What a fun area - and this large clothing shop was our favorite of all the clothing stores there. The shop is well laid-out, and it carries an extensive array of women's and men's clothing and accessories. Everything was trendy and cute, and best of all, the prices were quite reasonable. The sale items I saw weren't the usual odd-lot items, too; there were checked Vans slip-on sneakers on sale and other mainstream, recognizable items. In fact, my kid and I commented how we liked how there are many brand-name items as well as unique, lesser-known brands, and clothes we've not seen anywhere else. This would be the perfect place for a young professional woman to get her work and non-work wardrobe, as the clothes are on-point and the prices are right. I definitely would be able to find whatever I needed here.

Unique combinations of neutral tones and tactile materials mix with bohemian and eclectic to create the most stylish wardrobe a girl could hope for. Hardwood floors and neatly arrange racks make for easy garment spotting and you'll also find a small assortment of very groovy shoes and bags to compliment your gorgeous look. With flowers, relaxing music, and aromatherapy, Misch on Granville Street creates an atmosphere conducive to finding the perfect outfit. Michelle, Catherine and the other women at KK Boutique were friendly and accommodating and I managed to find a great mermaid-style dress which cost around $250 with tax. I think the prices start from $125 upwards - not sure because I only tried on the traditional red ones. They have all sorts of styles and do customized dresses as well. Alterations are free with the purchase and can be done at anytime provided there's a receipt. Before going to KK, I went to Parker Place which only had one store selling the dresses but had no luck there. They even told me to go to Chinatown so that's exactly what I did. While it would be nice to go to Hong Kong or China for an even better selection (and likely cheaper too), that's a little too far for me. I'm also a little wary of getting clothes online, especially for a wedding. After a tricky search online, I came across KK Boutique and Ochi (across the street) in Chinatown. I wonder if there are other stores in town that I missed? Regardless, I'm very happy with the dress I found and I highly recommend this place.

Some items are reasonably priced and worth the purchase, but there are times when the prices are exceptionally high for what they offer. For example, I recently came across a pair of Chanel sneakers circa 2014 priced at $750, (it did not come with a shoebox). However, upon further research, I found the same shoes on a well known preloved boutique for CAD$325 (same color, same size and it came with a box and individual shoe bags), and the condition was better to what Mine and Yours offered. I understand the store incur additional overhead costs, such as rent, utilities, and staff wages, which can influence pricing, but it should allow them to be more competitive esp if customers are always looking at phones now and doing strategic price comparison. Of course, I will continue to shop and browse and like coming here, the sales associates are nice and welcoming. While the store has its charm and unique finds, the pricing strategy needs to be revisited by management especially when comparable items are available elsewhere at significantly lower prices.
