On the very first visit they used the weed eater and chopped all of my perennial ground cover and…read moreother perennials. Blew leaves and debris into a corner about a foot deep and crushed other plants. Left debris in piles. When I discovered this I called the office and said do not come back. I even paid for their time but made it clear they were not to come back to my home. I even wrote it on the invoice along with the check. When they got the check they called and asked if they could please come back and try again and I told them NO. Two weeks later they came back and by the time I found them they had started blowing and weed eating again and I told them they were not supposed to be here. I called the office and was told they should not have shown up. She said I had been removed from the list and she did not know why the workers showed up at my house anyway. After I made them leave, I found a busted water pipe where they were working. Called the office again and said PLEASE send them back to fix this and I was told I would get a call back immediately. After 25 minutes and no call, I called them back and was told very rudely that they were too busy and could not come back that day. Absolutely absurd that they did not think it appropriate to pull them from another job and send them back to where they broke a pipe in our side yard (when they weren't even supposed to be in my yard at all). This was literally a pipe leading to our house that had become exposed. They clearly had stepped on it, broke it and it would have immediately started gushing water but they just left it. When I found them in my yard they had moved away from that area and I did not know the pipe was broken and gushing water until I made them leave and walked around the corner. I had painters at my home who verified this. I was told I would get a call back from the owner and instead I got an email saying he would talk to the workers and then call me. This was weeks ago and I have never received a call. We had to stay elsewhere that night because we had to turn off the water to our house because of the busted pipe. Thank goodness my husband was able to repair the pipe the following day for about $100. The fact that they know this happened and have not bothered to contact me tells you everything you need to know! I would never hire these people to come anywhere near my yard again. Stay away from them.

These are the best yard people we have ever had!!! Highly recommend them! Very Nice, professional,…read moreget the job done every time and go above and beyond. Also, they have great equipment and always bring their own stuff to use. They make sure all roofs and gutters are cleaned regularly as well as take all trimmings with them. SO Happy we found them!!!

My realtor referred me to Steve Homeyer for a major drainage repair in the yard of my new home. He…read morecame out in mid-April to provide an estimate. This repair was the most important one to me and my husband since it affected the long-term viability of our home. After Steve provided the estimate, he was no longer responsive to anyone. He didn't show up to do the work as scheduled on May 9. He didn't call to explain. My realtor went through her broker, who was finally able to contact Steve. I was told he planned to do the repair in the coming week. Little did I know that this was only the beginning of the "wait and see" song and dance. Although none of the other many contractors I've worked with had been this unprofessional, I decided to give Steve another opportunity since it was my understanding at the time that there were very few specialists in lawn drainage in this area so they tended to be overbooked (not actually true). It was a big mistake to have continued giving this guy multiple chances. Between 5 and 10 times now, Steve has given vague indication that the job would be done at the end of the current week or early the following one (it's now June 14). Steve never shows or calls to explain why he can't make it. When my husband talks with him on the phone, Steve appears to have forgotten who we are and what the job entails. Angela answers the office phone but makes the same false promises as Steve every time. I've since had several other specialists come out to provide quotes and they are much higher than Steve's. They have been able to eyeball the area and know that his approach could never solve the problem. It's been really disappointing to have this experience with Homeyer and feel like I've been misinformed from the beginning about the actual cost to address the issue. Don't waste your time.
