Always have the Buffalo chicken salad. My cashier talked me into Buffalo bites instead of the tenders and she added to my calorie count lol by giving me some shredded cheese instead of the blue cheese. Not as good as I remember it, but still a nice welcomed relief traveling on the road. read more

The restaurant was never bad to dine in. I came here last month, for the second time, since I thought food was not bad. Reach out to their survey. Got a response saying supposedly the cheese dip was refunded (2.49); never did. So this is my official review. When I came the first time, I was able to catch it since the cheese dip is not free and I was dining in. Second time I needed this to go, and they were not busy almost closing time, assuming they paid attention to the food paid details. Never got the cheese dip. And got a response that supposedly "I have growing up to do." It's ok. If you're really hungry then everything will taste amazing, but if you're just regular hungry then it's a toss up. I probably won't come back here. My husband and daughter really liked it. Everything was just "ok". My husband raved about the watermelon sweet tea, it wasn't good. There lemonade is just ok as well. I'm honestly not sure what the appeal is, I was disappointed about the lack of choices in sauces and then the type of batter they fry the chicken in smells more like a fish batter. Again it wasn't horrible, but it isn't worth it in my opinion. read more

The chicken fingers at Huey Magoo's are amazing. I don't know what the secret is to how they're so tender. They almost melt in your mouth. There was just enough seasoning to have a little personality and I didn't think they needed dipping sauce. I was raised in the South and I know good fried chicken. I've eaten chicken fingers at all the chain restaurants and they all seem to be so tough. The fries were done perfectly. Just done. Not over cooked or under cooked. Crisp just on the outside and fluffy like a baked potato on the inside. They even did the toast perfectly. Just buttery enough and toasted to perfection. Not greasy or limp. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Great attitudes. The restaurant was also very clean. It wasn't busy because it was around 4:00, but there were several tables occupied. Well I tried that new Magoo chicken restaurant today. It's great food but I still will choose Zaxby's and CFA. The service is good and the food is good too but the fries and sauce just don't impress me much. Ok on to the tenders not bad at all. I got mine dipped in sauce which is always good for me cause I like my Chicken tenders dipped. Once again really good but Zaxby's and CFA will always be the best! I had heard a lot about this place from colleagues, so I decided to check it out. The service was quick, the staff was friendly, and I received my chicken sandwich and fries in a short amount of time after ordering. The chicken was cooked to perfection, and the fries were seasoned perfectly. Another great addition to the great food is the fact that this chicken restaurant has Mr Pibb which is extremely delicious. Huey Magoos is a hidden gem that most people don't know about. I've had drive-thru about 10 times and only had one bad experience at a time when they were very busy and waited a long time for food that was below average. Every other time has been great! The customer service and food has been excellent. My favorite meal from here is the fried magoos wrap and fries! Also, there chips are very good too. The food is fantastic but I will NEVER be back to this location in Montgomery AL again. The first time I went I had to walk past carloads of people in the parking lot smoking pot. The smell was so strong that it about made me sick. The next time I went the cashier that took my order was so stoned and so out of it that I don't know how he was standing up. So between the stoned loiterers and the stoned workers I believe I will never go back. I hate that people are allowed to ruin a place with excellent food. read more

Went to Huey Magoo's for the first time yesterday the service was amazing . The lady's were very help up front and the manager was sweet she came and asked if I needed anything. Despite the good experience with the cashier's and management , I WILL NOT BE RETURNING! As I sat and waited on my food I seen employees playing next to the bathroom and then seen people with out a uniform in the kitchen where my food is being prepared . Stopped in one evening for dinner, and was pleasantly surprised by how great the food/service was. It is a newer establishment so there was a bit of a line, but it moved quickly and we received our order in a timely fashion as well. Most importantly, our order was correct, even with a couple substitutions! I know that shouldn't be surprising, but these days it's never a guarantee. The chicken itself was fried very nicely, light crispy batter with tender and moist meat. Fries were tasty and seasoned well. Can't ask for much more from a fried chicken restaurant. read more

The food that I did get was good but after paying over $50 for food on doordash they only sent me one of my meals, then when I called the manager "Sara" I think was her name I don't remember had the nastiest attitude and basically told me I was lying about what I ordered . She then told me "she don't ride with the dashers" when I asked how is it that her screen says I only ordered one tender meal when I received all my drinks but not all my meals. I could've accepted a screw up if the attitude of the manager wasn't so disgusting . Customer service has to do better after covid it has gotten even worst. I don't think I will ever be back to this establishment simply based off the customer service. Then I had to go through doordash to fix my problem and they said they didn't send the wrong order which means the manager lied to cover up whatever mistake they made. So me my fiancé and my son all had to share ONE 7piece meal that night considering we just moved here and after spending all that money on one meal we were over paying for something else. 0/10 customer service . 2/10 because fries were poorly cooked but tenders flavor was good with sweet heat. read more
