Even though it's a 3 hour drive from Minot, it is still the better resort to go to. Longer runs, more trails, bigger rest area and I believe the lift tickets are the same price as Bottineau. I highly recommend! read more

This hill has 3 lifts. We had a great time and the staff were a huge help and very friendly. The prices at the lodge were also refreshing, literally! It is a smaller hill better for family skiing and snowboarding and beginners. They have a lot of special events such as winter carnival and the night ski on Certain days. We can't wait to go again. They helped me kids a lot even though we didn't sign up for lessons! I can't say enough good things read more

I scheduled ski lessons for a group of 7. It was our first time at the ski area and found it to be a quaint little spot. For a saturday, it wasn't overly crowded and there was ample parking in the upper parking lots. We checked in at the desk and paid for our lift tickets ($30/each). We were told they were short instructors for the day, so ski patrol would be assigned to our group and we wouldn't be charged for the lessons. (Savings of $75 for 3 people) After check in, we went down to the rental shop for boots and skis. I DID NOT like the rental shop. The men behind the counter were rude and unhelpful. I don't think they cared if it was our 1st time or not, all they wanted was to give us our boots and get us out of the shop. After trying to figure out how to put on the boots and get in our skis, we made our way to the bunny slope. Our instructor, Whitney (?), came over on time and immediately took half our group for lessons. The other half of our group waited about 15 minutes for Ski Patrol to show up and instruct us. Our ski patrol instructor, Dan, was kind and patient, and really cared about teaching us the fundamentals. After our two hour lesson, a few of our group headed over to the blue lift. Overall it was a great day. The only room for improvement was the rental shop. I would also suggest that they don't charge for lift tickets for children -- especially since we know a 5 year old wont be going down the blue or green hills. read more

I've been here a couple of times now, both early season visits. The staff was extremely nice but they charge full price for lift tickets even if they only have one run open so I'd recommend calling in advance for conditions as their website is never up to date. read more
