I wasn't hungry but wanted something warm on a cold, on-and-off rainy day; so I only ordered a savory cheese and red onion scone. It was okay - not too good but not bad either. Cashier manning the counter was friendly. Interiors are part modern and bright (in the dining area where pastries were shown) and part a-bit-old (in the other side of the ground floor as well as upstairs). Disappointed. I was excited to try a good scone with the clotted cream/jam. Hate when they give this plastic container of clotted cream, it's gross. The scone was dry. My husband and I are from America and we visited the Stow-on-the-Wold location. We had the most pleasant experience. It was completely down pouring outside and we needed something to warm us up. He ordered tea and I ordered a hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was by far the best hot chocolate I have ever had! I wish we had this back home! The tea was also fantastic. The service was great and everyone was beyond friendly to us. Also, extra points for a clean, fun and relaxing environment! Highly recommend and I hope to come back very soon! We just had a light lunch here on a busy Sunday afternoon and were very happy with the experience. The coronation chicken sandwich was good - I'm not an expert on that dish but it was nice and the bread was excellent. The Victoria sponge cake was very good. We also had a very good chocolate milk shake and smoothie. Dogs allowed. Atmosphere was airy but still cozy. The server was nice and they were very accommodating of our food allergy. Two minor negatives - 1. We were sat at a table and told to order from there. The menus said to order online, but gave no QR code. So we went to their website and eventually found the (very hard-to-find) option for online ordering, only to get a message that the server was down. So, we then ordered at the counter. 2. I love to try the foods the "locals" eat when I travel, so when the friendly woman behind the counter at Huffkins told me about the Scotch Eggs, I knew they needed to tasted. During our tour around the Cotswolds, our tour group was given an hour for lunch break in the Stow-on-the-Wold Square. Since our tour guide had highly recommended that we grab a quick lunch from Huffkins and eat as we walk around the square, my family decided to take his advice and give this place a try. The Cornish ("wavy") pasty - This pasty is like an upright pasty with wave crests on the top, which was what lured me into ordering it. The flavor of the beef, veggies, and gravy were decent, but kind of dry. It seemed as though the gravy had evaporated or been absorbed. Hm..maybe that's why I kept drinking the soup... Steak and Guinness pie - Both my mom and sister ordered this, and it was very delicious. There was so much flavorful sauce packed in this pie it came oozing out once they hacked into it. We all agreed that this was very yummy in flavor and in texture. Pork Pie - Apparently, this is traditionally eaten cold, because when my dad went down to the kitchen in confusion thinking they had forgotten to heat this up, they informed him that pork pies are meant to be eaten cold. They really packed their pork in this thing, because it was really dense! I guess this makes for food travelers' food, but I'd already gotten sick of cold food by this point. However, in general, the food here seems to look better than it actually tastes. I noticed that they do have some award-winning scones and fruit cakes, though. We had lunch here during our trip in London. This was a wonderful little shop. My wife loved the tea mix. The pasties were delicious!

On first glance it looks like a very quaint Tea Rooms however the menu was more extensive than one would expect. Not conforming to the traditional menu I decided to go for the chicken, bacon and mushroom pie. The pie lacked filling and the chips felt that they had been left sitting out under a hot lamp. My partner went for one of the specials and the red onion marmalade was amazing. It was great, apart from the same issue with the chips.
