This was a sweet first stop after the first leg of our six day walking trip along the Cotswold Way. We were looking for a classic tea and scone experience and Lucy's hit the spot with their delicious tea menu (enjoyed the chocolate cake tea) and both fruited and non fruited scones to accompany clotted cream. They also offer a breakfast and lunch menu if you're looking for something more substantial. You really can't beat their outdoor seating in the back courtyard - it's both cozy and covered for the frequent rainy days. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and based on how bustling it was, it seems that we weren't the only fans in town.

I heard about Lucy's from a YouTube video and I had my mind made up to try this on our trip. I am so glad I did! Lucy's is a little gem. The restaurant and bathrooms are clean, the staff is super friendly, and the food was delicious! My son got an omelette and he said it was delicious. My husband and I got afternoon tea for two. The scones were the best I have ever eaten. The tea was also delicious and they have a huge selection to choose from. I bought some of the tea to take home. I wish this special place was in my home town.

This place is so charming with the friendliest staff. We had the tea service and the scones were the best scones I've ever had. We had several scones during our trip across the UK and nothing compared to Lucy's! Im serious! However the sandwhiches were not great. The bread was dry and pretty bland and flavorless overall. The cakes were delicious! I would recommend just ordering tea and scones, and any cakes that look good to you.

The best scones I've ever had! Even made my husband a believer! Shop is very cute and welcoming. The tea was wonderful, and I'll be thinking of this place for a while now :)

We were on a day tour through the Cotswolds, and had only about an hour to stop and eat somewhere. There were so many options but this cute quaint place was screaming our name so of course we went here. The service was so great, you can tell this is all family ran and the inside decor was so cute. I ordered the brie bacon sandwich and my mom got the cheese and tomatoes. They were both delicious, as well as the side salads!? And the tea omg, it was exactly what we needed. If you have time to stop, because the service was perfectly timed, I would go here!!!

Stow Special Afternoon Tea for 2 (egg & cress and tuna & cucumber sandwiches, scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream, and fresh cakes)

A favorite place for my husband and I to have hot tea, finger sandwiches, cake, and a scone with cream.

Never have I ever left a restaurant in tears. You know when…read moreyou just *feel* the racism? It doesn't need to be blatant but is usually subtle. POC will understand 100% that feeling. We booked this last minute and as soon as we walked in, were ignored. A white couple came in after us and the blonde waitress went directly around us and took them to a table. I made direct eye contact as she was taking them, as if to say, I saw that and yes we're still here. She intentionally avoided us completely after as we were standing there waiting to be helped. The man behind the bar saw, seated us instead, and then we were ignored for another 20 minutes. I asked another blonde waitress if we could be helped and she said WE'LL GET TO YOU. She had never even acknowledged our presence or existence prior. I was already so upset we just decided to leave after that. We left with empty bellies and a trip to a local grocery store instead. There's a Yelp review from 9 days ago about this and one on TripAdvisor from this month saying the EXACT SAME THING.

We had: - Crispy Lincolnshire Poacher, roasted sweet potato, honey roasted carrots, baby spinach, chicory, avocado (£8.50) - basically a grown up mozzarella stick that was so delicious we had a hard time getting our mom to share bites with us. - Mixed roast beef and pork, crackling & Apple sauce w/ goose fat potatoes, double egg Yorkshire pudding, red cabbage, honey roasted roots cauliflower cheese and gravy (£16.50) - thank god we saw another table receive their servings first because then we knew this was a huge portion to be shared. Very good, traditional English meal - Crispy pork belly, creamy truffle mash, baby spinach, roasted button onion, cauliflower purée, apple sauce (£16.50) - delicious, especially the creamy truffle mash. Service was friendly although we had to catch their attention a bit more than I like. The space has a welcoming, well-decorated pub feel but well lit. We realized afterwards that they had out door seating which would have been nice to take advantage of with the fantastic weather! There is a parking lot out front.

Burford has significant meaning to my group so it was a must visit for us while in the Cotswolds…read more Since we hadn't eaten, he chose The Angel at Burford for us, which operates as a restaurant and hotel. It's a nice pub and establishment. When you enter there's a bar and some cozy indoor seating with natural light. Nothing fancy. There's also a wonderful outdoor patio, which is where we sat. There's two floors to it and most of the seating is covered. The service by workers were all friendly and nice. We ordered with them then paid at the bar. We shared Duck and Orange Pate. It was thick, tasty, and complex but well balanced. I had the Crispy Chicken Sandwich--the mixed leaves were tasty, the chicken crispy, and honestly it was a filling sandwich. I would say I'd like more in between the bread but it did fill me up. You've got plenty of pub options in Burford, but we quite enjoyed our time at The Angel. It's off Witney Street and a nice place to dine!

I know that great grandfather's back millennia helped build the Burford bridge over the little river that's at the foot of high Street and so it was fun seeing all these places and having lunch there and thinking about my families connection to the town. Burford is considered to be the gateway to the cot waltz. The cot walls has an old area that has changed for a little over the hundreds of years and has amazing architecture and houses and farms. It's surrounded by rolling Hills and Dells and little rivers running through it. Burford is considered the gateway to the cot walls because it showcases several styles of very old architecture. that's still an excellent condition. If you have questions about what to do while you're there go to the Tolsey house. But I have to say there is no question that when I got there And it was lunchtime that I selected the angel at Burford to eat the fine food that they serve there. The staff quality of the food everything was amazing. I will return time and time again.
