PLEASE READ this review before meeting with this firm so that what happened to me do not happen to…read moreyou! They are notorious for charging EXCESSIVE FEES and being dishonest! And boy can they put on a good performance at the INITIAL CONSULTATION! If they think they can make quick money off of you, they will hype you up during the initial consultation but I'm here to tell you that once you pay that retainer fee, their true colors will show! I paid them a $5k retainer fee on the spot, liked they asked for. They told me that I would most likely get some of it back because my case was pretty "cut & dry". They also said once I pay the fee, they would reach out to the opposing party and send notice to the court as my attorney of record. I never heard from them after paying the fee and over a month later, I inadvertently discover that they never reached out to my opposing party, neither did they give notice to the court as being my attorney of record like they professed at the initial consult! During this same timeframe, I received an invoice from them with OVER HALF of my trust funds depleted! I expressed my concern to them and reminded them of what they told me at the initial consultation meeting. Not only did they deny ever telling me that my case was "cut & dry", they also denied telling me that $5k would be more than enough for them to represent me and that I would most likely receive some of it back. Once I started to question them, they terminated the agreement and called me a complainer and a crack pot! The only thing they did not lie about is me receiving SOME of my money back. In less than a 3- month time frame, they invoiced my trust account a total of 33 charges totaling $3883.53. They hardly did any work that served as a benefit to my case!! MOST of the charges were for "office meetings" they had with each other "supposedly" and LONG phone conversations they were having with other parties that served as no benefit to my case! ALL three attorneys invoiced my trust account separately for the SAME line item! They have refused to correct this! I am leaving this review because I never want to see this happen to anyone else! Should you choose them to represent you, please make sure you ask all the right questions. Please make sure that only 1 attorney can bill you for the same item. I also recommend that you record ALL your communications with them and by all means, please control your trust account!

Had an appointment today with Peter J. Nosal at 2pm for estate planning. He arrived over 20 minutes…read morelate for the appointment stating that he just got done with his child's doctor's appointment. The receptionist assured us several times that he was on a court call and those calls can sometimes run longer. Turns out she lied right to our faces because we were ready to leave, since it didn't appear that he was planning on showing up. He finally shows up in flip flops and doesn't seem to know why we are there. We explain what estate planning we are looking for and he makes it seem like we don't need estate planning even though it's listed on their website. I asked him to adjust the website since it's clearly misleading and he asked me to show him where it says that on the website. I show him where it says that on the website that has his name on it, but somehow he's completely unaware of it. At one point he got up to go ask another attorney about estate planning and comes back and says "yea, they don't know." It also says on the website they are licensed to practice in both NC and SC, which is apparently another lie. I have never had such a confusing and frustrating encounter with an "attorney" as he seemed to know absolutely nothing about anything. He was extreme unprofessional, his receptionist had no issue with lying to our faces and he clearly has poor time management skills. It was reg flag after red flag in that appointment and I couldn't believe they operate in that way. There were absolutely no other clients in the building and I'm not at all surprised. Stay away if you value your time or need someone who is competent, because you won't find that here. Whoever scheduled our appointment is also incompetent because they clearly set us up with someone who wouldn't be able to handle what we needed. If the issues are from the front desk to the courts, you know the problem is systemic and not a one-off. They should be embarrassed by how things unfolded today.
