We were served by Maike in the store who was super professional and fun to interact with. She was very knowledgable. We also received a 2.5 hour lesson from Henry who was the best ski instructor we have ever had. He taught us to ski in about an hour and then we rode the mountain with him for the rest of the lesson. He was the man. 100% recommend lessons from this guy. I rented snowblades with them and ended up liking them so much that I purchased the blades from them at the end of my rental. They have a sweet rent to buy program where they apply the cost of rental to the purchase of the skis. I ended up getting a sweet deal in addition to a new ride! Buri Sport is awesome.

The most popular item is the personalized chocolate bars. I almost purchased one, but just couldn't justify the price of the chocolate bar when converting it from Swiss Francs to US Dollars since it's readily available back home. Although, I do see that it would be worth it for a special occasion. It's just not something I'd personally do for myself. I was also thinking that the production of Toblerone had been moved to Bratislava, but that's not entirely true. It was only part of the production that moved out of Switzerland. The factory in Bern still produces them today. Unfortunately, the partial move makes it "not Swiss enough" to keep it's iconic logo of the Matterhorn with the bear image... among other changes to the packaging. So, why am I telling you this? Well, you can add that iconic logo to your personalized packaging sleeve at this store. I think it's a brilliant idea! It's what people know and love. Honestly, this visit made me realize how much I still love Toblerone even though I didn't buy anything. It brings back childhood memories. I also learned something new from the visit. There are Toblerone bars that are still made in Switzerland!

Lots of the great Patagonia gear and really good selection-- they even sell wetsuits in this shop! In fact, I believe they're the only Patagonia store in Europe where you can purchase wetsuits. The prices aren't really discounted, but being Patagonia-- that's not entirely unexpected regardless of where you go. Great staff, very chill owner who's also an avid surfing himself, and a prime location right in the middle of downtown Interlaken. Patagonia's just taking off in Europe (and playing a bit of catch-up to TNF), but happy to support the company and its mission!
