Located in a small village on the banks of Lake Brienz, Huggler Holzbildhauerel (wood carving) continues the hand carved Swiss wood carving tradition. For over 100+ years, generations of wood carvers have sculpted decorative and practical wood pieces.
Huggler-Wyss have been noted for their original nativity scenes since 1915. Other wood carvings include: costume characters, farm animals. jewelry boxes, eagles, religious icons, music boxes, authentic cockoo clocks just to name a few. Prices reflect the handmade quality as well as the overall Swiss price structure. It was interesting and fun to see the available carvings and watch the sculptures in the onsite workshop..
