When I fell to the ground from a seizure, & she eventually found me me on the ground, RN Reeves kicked me & demanded I get up off the floor, & acted like I was having a tantrum. Never checked my airway, if I was breathing, or even had a pulse. She told the Dr, & documented in my chart, that I "placed myself on the ground voluntarily", which is not true. When I had an MRI of the brain shortly after from another facility, it was proven that I had a small brain hemorrhage. Because of her words, I was not diagnosed or treated when this occurred. I could have died. Three of the nurses were talking loudly at the nursing station about each Patient there; private medical history, making fun of them, & how they were intentionally inflicting pain in one. I heard them making fun of me too. I have an extensive background in healthcare, & I've never seen such horribly negligent & abusive nursing in my life. They were willing to let me die on that floor, then have to actually provide any medical care or treatment. And when I requested to be released, or transferred to a facility with a higher level of care because of this, they absolutely refused me. They only agreed when I said that I would just call 911 and be transferred because of the seizure.

I became a patient of this clinic last fall, and have been attempting to find the root of a host of symptoms ever since. My provider was extremely dismissive of very serious symptoms, including some bloodwork that came back indicative of major systemic problems. In consults with others that use this provider, she seems to always be this way. Speaking of bloodwork, when I needed additional testing, I was asked to come in for an additional blood draw and that it would take "10 minutes" and on three separate days had to wait over an hour, and therefore leave and return another day. Need a referral? Be prepared to wait. For weeks. And for it to be wrong/not taking into account your insurance situation. I waited weeks to hear something from an abdominal ultrasound referral and only after I called again did I learn it had been sent to an out of network clinic that did not have my information and needed to be started all over again. A need for a dermatology referral produced the same result, but fortunately I was able to handle the booking and insurance situation on the phone. They never were able to find the referral. Oh, then there's the one prescription that I was told would be called in (an allergy med) that never was. Ever. And the other (an anti gas med I didn't want to be on and told my provider the second they suggested it I didn't want) that she called in anyway and I was hassled about not picking up. And let's talk about the staff. There's one lady at the appointments desk that has once hung up on me in the middle of a reschedule and, when I asked to switch providers due to dissatisfaction with the one that has seen me for months and been dismissive of my results, was UNBELIEVABLY condescending and rude. There are multiple people working that desk, but every time I get this one a minor request turns into a PROBLEM. If you'd like to say you have a doctor without actually having one, by all means the Frist clinic is correct for you. It's a weird 4th floor urgent care with hospital prices and wait times. At best. If you have something really wrong and want a partner in your health, go literally anywhere else. I'm sure there are exceptions but I feel like this clinic is, overall, a landing spot for people who care very little about their patients' experiences, wellbeing, or outcomes.

I don't know if I am doing this correctly, but I would honestly advise against using Sterling. I made an appointment months in advance because I was struggling with depression and wanted to pursue getting antidepressant medication in addition to diet, exercise, and therapy. I confirmed my appointment two days in advance, signed my forms digitally, and was glad about getting help for my condition. They responded to my confirmation with an additional message, so my confirmation was confirmed. Thirty minutes before my appointment, they let me know it had been cancelled. I called the office to ask why, and perhaps reschedule. I get it. Sometimes physicians get sick or have a family emergency. That would have been totally okay and I could have done the appointment another time. The receptionist pretty rudely informed me that my would-be psychiatrist quit a month ago, and that she was no longer with Sterling. I told her that was a bit confusing for me as the patient, because they still confirmed my appointment. She responded to this negatively as well, and when I asked about scheduling with another physician, she said that would be not likely or not possible because Sterling only has one psychiatrist and he is far too booked up. I really needed help with my depression, and I wish that Sterling hadn't given me what was basically a fake appointment. I also wish they weren't so rude when I was following up looking for care. If I had known my physician quit, or that the appointment wasn't happening, I could have gotten treatment somewhere else. Now, I am still in need of medical advice regarding my depression, but I'll likely have to wait a few more weeks to get advice somewhere else while my condition worsens. I can't speak for every physician or every patient experience, and I am sure that Sterling has some great physicians and patients with great experiences. However, my experience was pretty bad. My advice would be to either get psychiatric care somewhere else, or to pick up the phone and call to confirm appointments, because they'll apparently mislead you about availability and confirmation through both text and email. Now for anyone who does not know what a mohel is, he is the guy who is responsible for helping Jewish families fulfill the commandment to bring their children into the Covenant of Abraham - in other words, he is - The Circumciser! I've had the opportunity to use Trent twice in this regard. My oldest is five and my third is now 2 1/2. The first time was exceedingly difficult. I had been to circumcision ceremonies before. I was fairly knowledgeable about what goes on and I even knew it was the responsibility of the father to perform the act, unless he cannot, in which case he designates someone else - the moyel. I had never met Trent before, but into my house strode this dred locked guy who told me he was not only a doctor, but also the mohel. We discussed the ceremony in some detail as well as the preparation for my son. We readied the tools he needed and he showed me the clamp he would use and the scalpel I would use, as I opted to do the cut myself. The Rabbi said some nice words - I was in a bit of a fog - and Trent prepared my son and handed me the scalpel. The last thing I remember was him commenting on his size (from his mothers side of the family) and then I stated. Since he was indeed large, I didnt get it all at first and had to go back. Time stopped except for the whispers of my family standing close and saying - Why is it taking so long. Its not supposed to take this long is it? Is something wrong? Fortunately, I finished and did just fine and it came out great. Of course Trent was a big help as he made fun of me for it for the next 5 years (and counting) We had no drama with my younger child and in fact, it went so smoothly that we convinced another friend and elite Yelper to perform the ceremony himself when it was his kids time. If you're Jewish and have a boy, there is no finer mohel in Nashville than Trent Rosenbloom.

Being thankfully too young to remember my own circumcision, I was a little apprehensive about my son's. We first sat down with Trent at the Fido, where he was taking his daughters out for breakfast. He sat us down and handed us some literature, whilst managing his younguns, and answered all of our questions. He clearly had a much more intimate, spiritual approach to the ceremony than some of the other mohels we contacted. It seemed less of a business transaction and more of something that was supposed to be an inclusive experience. One thing he mentioned as well was how he felt very strongly that the father should actually do the deed, that he would set everything up, put the ball on the tee (no pun intended). Didn't seem like something I really wanted to do, I felt very comfortable leaving it to the professionals. As time went on, he was there to answer any questions, and gave us some great advice on how to get the little guy ready, using a cream that would cause him minimal discomfort, again, a very progressive approach to the experience. He also gave us guidance on how we needed to plan the event and meal afterwards. When the big day finally came, the rabbi, Trent, and a couple of pals administered scotch and told me I should be the one to do the deed. When it came time for that part of the ritual, with 40 people in my downstairs, I said that I would fulfill the act rather than delegate it to the mohel, Trent. The look on my wife's face was priceless, good thing I got it on video. Now my son pees to the left, but I was really glad I got to be a part of the ceremony (I kid, I kid). My next door neighbor is a Vanderbilt doctor and he told me that Dr. Womack's reputation precedes itself. When a doctor is revered by patient and colleague alike, you know you have a great one. There's a garage for patients off of 20th Ave., and the easiest way to find the entrance is to turn right on State St. and then left into the garage. After parking, you'll want to take the elevator to the second floor walkway over to the medical building, and then follow the signs in there to another elevator and take that up to the fifth floor. It sounds more complicated than it is, and it's easy to remember after you do it once. The office waiting room is beautiful, with lots of natural light, plenty of seating, and a gorgeous view of the Nashville skyline. There were dozens of women waiting for appointments, but the check-in process is all done online through a QR code, making it super quick and easy. Their team is efficient - and it makes sense why they can see so many women in one day! I saw Elizabeth Napier (Lizzie) and have nothing but wonderful things to say about my appointment.
