It was my first visit, my arrival to a mostly empty main room encountered lots of reserved tables and after a few hiccups about where I could sit, the perfect spot was found. We were traveling between Ramstein and Frankfurt and found this fantastic German restaurant. What a great last meal on our German vacation. Restaurant accepts credit cards and we found found plentiful parking a couple blocks away. Menus available in English and even answered questions via Facebook before we arrived. Our server spoke excellent English, but I think we were the only Americans in the place. The food was excellent. I especially liked my schnitzel with mushroom sauce and roasted potatoes. My youngest son (9) ordered penne with butter and Parmesan but he also loved my schnitzel. Our family of four highly recommends! Great service and reasonable prices. read more

My wife and I had an excellent evening dining out at hugo & tilda. We weren't sure what to expect but we had read several good reviews from other customers and we were interested in trying something new. The restaurant is neatly organized and decorated well and the food was delicious. My wife got the hamburger, which she absolutely enjoyed, and I had the steak which came with a delicious pepper sauce. The wait staff were friendly but our waiter was a little slow that night, perhaps due to it being a Saturday night. There were quite a few small children there so it's certainly family friendly though parking can be a bit challenging as the restaurant is located in a residential area. Overall we had a great experience and we plan to return soon. The food was delicious! read more

This place was so cute. Nice atmosphere. I felt like I was in Brooklyn, NY. I walked 1km from the Best Western. I felt like I was strolling through Park Slope. Loved the area. Nice attentive service. I ordered a salad, aioli, hummus, and the Wiener schnitzel. I got mushroom gravy and onions on the side. These onions were soooooooooo yummy and sweet. I would come back just for that. A real neighborhood regular type place. It was my first time eating Wiener schnitzel and I don't necessarily like pounded thin fried meat but this was good. My husband and I walked over 1 mile for dinner here. And it was more than worth it. In fact, we need to walk back because we were so stuffed. The service was so nice and helpful--they even had an English menu for us! The inside of the restaurant was also really cozy with outdoor seating, however it was raining the day that we were there so we were unable to sit outside. I had the risotto it was warm, comforting with tender pieces of white asparagus and salty pockets of parmesan. It was amazing, and it was also well balanced with hints of spicy black pepper. And my husband had the schnitzel, the Austrian style. I think my dish was much better, and my husband would agree. No dessert because we were absolutely stuffed, but we both left happy and full. I love this place. Each time I order something, I haven't been disappointed. My favorite is the lamb bolognese. After the first time I had it, I ended up craving it and having to come back the following week. Luckily I live close so it wasn't an issue. It's a causal atmosphere. If your American, they have an English menu and try to check on you. The staff is really nice and the owner is even nicer! The place can get pretty busy. Very good experience at Hugo & Tilda. Our waiter spoke excellent English. I got the impression some of the others weren't as adept, but they knew enough to get by and had menus in English to assist. Kids had the chicken nuggets (really sized more like tenders) and fries, which they really liked. One had the penne with butter and shredded Parmesan - simple, but very good. My wife had the chicken breast in white wine sauce. The sauce was excellent, chicken cooked just right, and the thin sliced ham on the chicken made it even better. Vegetables were fresh and nicely cooked. I had the rump steak with herb butter and onions. Everything was very good and cooked just right, although I thought her chicken was the better meal. Finished with chocolate mousse and espresso. Great finishing move. Nothing to complain about here. A play area for the kids while they wait for food and after they're done. In the end it was a great experience, although a little pricey - not overpriced, but still almost 100 euro for the five of us. read more

I would love to give this place 5 stars as the owner and staff were amazing. I understood the others in my party really enjoyed their food but mine was just plain good. I ordered the Hugo burger and it was tasty and a unique twist on a burger but I think the next time I visit I'll try one of the recommendations that the others left in their reviews. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Hugo & Tilda's. Wooden tables with paper napkins and food to die for. Steak and calf cooked perfectly. Wonderful evening meal with appetizers and a great bottle of wine for only 75 Euros. Our server couldn't have been more accommodating.
