Chicken was OK, I actually gave the leftovers to my dogs and they didn't seem to enjoy it much. Service was the only good thing, although I don't understand how there's 6 people behind the counter and it seems none can make chicken correctly. Slaw tasted a few days old, American potatoes didn't taste or look fresh. I will not be coming by again. Pizza didn't seem appetizing when the owner walked out to check her sons pizza to make sure there was nothing under the pizza crust, I didn't see if she found something but just the idea of something being inside drove me crazy. Tried Hugo's for the first time. Delivery time was a little long, one hour, but it was lunchtime and still within what they had told me so that was no big deal. I ordered the Philly steak pizza, and overall it was pretty good - crust was decent and cheesiness factor was solid but my main complaint with this particular pizza was WHERE WAS THE MEAT??? I know it's advertised as "thinly" sliced steak but it was literally paper thin, like couldn't even taste it thin. It was also pretty sparsely distributed so overall I felt like I was eating just an onion and green pepper pizza, no evidence of steak, so that was pretty disappointing. If they, quite literally, beefed up this pizza my review would have been higher. read more

Good crust, great sauce! I ordered an XL with pepperoni and a cheesy bread. Both were good. We live in Almont and can't find good pizza near us. So while I was headed home I stopped in Lapeer for pizza. The cheesy bread had a nice garlic flavor. The pepperoni on the pizza wasn't too greasy or spicy. Best pizza we have had in Lapeer County lately. read more

The worst grilled chicken salad ever. All it was lettuce and roughly 2 ounces of boiled chicken! Over priced and worthless!

I know some family members that struggles with delivery from them and won't do delivery again, but their pizza was really good. I loved the chewy crust, it was flavorful! We ordered the taco pizza and the chicken pesto. My niece and nephew loved the taco, while I downed the chicken pesto! read more

I am pretty consistent with my order from Hugo's. I have ordered it once a week for 3 months or so. When it is made correctly, it is a really good salad. However, it only arrives right maybe 20% of the time. I order a Medium, no onions, with jalapeno's, sour cream and french dressing. It arrived today (for the last time) with onions, no jalapeno's and no dressing. I had to call (3) times to get it corrected AND IT WAS STILL WRONG. You lost a customer. read more

Hugo's has been around for more years than I can remember. The quality has always been consistently good. The pizza here seems to be made the old fashioned way with crust made by hand. Plenty of toppings with lots of sauce like we like. Really quite outstanding! This another one of my "Mom and Pop" bucket list places that you must visit. Hugo's is a staple of Lapeer. It's been around for a while. They have great and unusual pizzas, like the BLT pizza. They deliver, but they can be a little slow. I love their sauce. Try the creamcheese garlic dip! They are super friendly too. :) They don't serve just pizza either! Try a Hoagie, my personal favorite is the Chicken pesto. Speaking of chicken, their fried chicken is amazing. Not too greasy. They also have a burrito, burgers, and some pasta dishes. All which are very good quality. And it's all delivered to you if you live in Lapeer. How cool is that? You can have more then just pizza delivered! read more

Bread sticks and garlic cream cheese with chives was very good! Ham on the hawaiian was "pieces and parts" ham, not appetizing and the pizza was a little underdone. Stick with the bread sticks those were good! read more

I called in an order for a taco pizza and an antipasto salad for delivery. The girl on the phone was short with me and rude. They must have been busy, but don't take it out on me! The pizza was amazing, however, the antipasto salad came without any cheese and barely any salami. (The menu says there are three types of cheese on the antipasto salad). There was a generous portion of lettuce and olives, though. Regardless of the rudeness & missing cheese, I'll back. read more

I called in a very straight forward order 30 mins from their pizza place and decided to pick it up. Upon arrival I noticed my order had not been even looked at yet and was told it would be a minute. Twenty five minutes later I was told my order was ready. I made a comment that how long would I have to wait before my pick up items are free, and I was told by the owner we do not have a policy on that. Logic tells me that knowing I was upset he would discount or do something to easy the pain it is to wait in a hot pizza place with hot ovens, but no charged full price. I will not be going back to this place, and I urge those of you who appreciate businesses with good values to avoid this place like the plague. read more

I really appreciate this restaurant. The pizza the bone in wings definitely are delicious. Oh and I find both gentleman who prepare this fine food devilishly handsome. Anyway back to to the eatables I yet to be disappointed. Make sure to try them service is good also read more
