I tried bribing my lunch monitor in high school to give me a pass to run for mancinos, with a promise I would bring her a grinder back. It didn't take much convincing her lol in fact, we made it a weekly tradition; mancinos monday. I've been coming here at minimum once a month for nearly 30 years - and never once been disappointed. It's comfort food you can't get anywhere else. There's a lot of grinder places out there, but this one always stands out above the rest. Quality, fresh ingredients, friendly staff, quick service and they're insanely consistent in all of those categories. Their bread is baked fresh every day and they're not shy or skimpy with the fillings. Ever. It's so nice to have a place around that IS that consistent. I get the exact same grinder I had 30 years ago today. How many places can you say that about? The club and garlic cheese bread are my go-to. Pizza, Cowboy steak, chicago steak, Reuben & blt are great too. With the invention of the air fryer, even the leftovers are awesome. You just can't go wrong at Lapeer mancinos! And now that I'm thinking about it, I need it in my life. read more

We ordered takeout from here. It was a very large order (8 people) with lots of special requests. Everything was correct which really surprised me! I was impressed. They were also very quick to get it ready. The prices are GREAT! I got a Rueben grinder and I ordered a full instead of a half and it was big enough for at least 2 if not 3 or 4 people and only $11. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 was that the woman who took the order was very snippy and rude on the phone. Also one of the people I was ordering with got a pizza and it did not look very good to me and he said he would definitely not get pizza there again. 5 star food, zero star attitude from the management. Three star average. How can this be? Bad policies regarding extras and other things like that have a huge impact on customer satisfaction. We didn't like all of the standard toppings on our food. We asked for a substitute "on the side". Turns out there us an extra charge for anything on the side, BUT no credit for deletions. Idiots! When I brought this to the attention of the manger, she said "yeah, people complain about that all the time!" Idiots! Why would you do something on purpose that drives away customers? She went on to say that the extra charge is actually for the container. So if you have read any of my other reviews, you know I'm a cheapskate. Because of this I asked for the toppings that I didn't get, (since I already paid for them). When I did, the manager asked "what kind of container do you want?" I replied whatever doesn't cost your company too much. I guess she didn't think I could hear her when she told one of her workers to give us the toppings in a garbage bag. Nice attitude. I've been on a Cheese Crave!!! I called ahead to put in my order of Steak Grinder with their signature Mancino's garlic sauce. I was really impressed with how quick their service was. The lady told me it would take 8 minutes, & it literally did. So much melting cheese, I LOVE IT! They actually service tables there too. So cone in with the fam if you'd like! Called 12 times in a half hour, wasn't able to eat when we planned. Oh well we did our errands and tried calling again, this time we were put on hold for the whole time it took us to drive there (10 minutes). I walked in the store and stood in line still on the phone. Waited 5 more minutes while they helped the guests in front of me. When I finally got to the counter a younger man asked if he could help me. I asked why they helped all of those people and didn't take my phone call. His reply was "We are just too busy.", this was unacceptable to me. I've worked at pizza places and was watching the staff work while waiting. Three people took turns making one pizza all rotating on the line while the pizza didn't move. The staff needs better training and the manager needs to be present to address these issues. Someone should be taking phone calls instead of standing in one spot just portioning cheese to order. I'm not sure I'll even bother trying this location again after such horrible service and lack of effort of the staff. If I could give 0 stars this visit would have warranted it. read more

Who knew Facebook would save Friday night dinner. Scrolling through and stumble upon a deal $17.99 for two 8 inch grinders, 2 drinks, garlic cheese bread, and a brownie. So I ordered the blt and Chicago grinders. Overall very good, but I feel like they were super stingy with toppings. The cheese was heavy af so that was in the right direction. But not much meat on either the blt had maybe 4-5 slice bacon? And it was the thin microwaveable stuff. Everything that was on it was fresh tho, just really wish it would've been a packed grinder. The garlic cheese sticks and cake were on point! Make sure you get side of garlic cream cheese for the sticks. And almost positive the cake was homemade, delicious moist chocolate cake and a rich smooth frosting. Not a huge fan of sweets at all but I killed off that whole cake. Willing to try it again sometime soon,hopefully just caught them on an off day. read more

Yes it sucks to be in Michigan, but console yourself with some of the best Pizza in North America. The Pizza is hand tossed and has a really tasty sauce. Try the Grinders too, They are quite unique; I've never seen hot subs like this anywhere else. The bread is baked fresh daily and they are heated in the pizza oven with the meat and cheese, but then topped with fresh crisp lettuce, onion and tomatoes coated with a tangy dressing, so you get crispy cool veggie sensation with a hot gooey pizza finish. read more

I attempted to order delivery and was given a very hard time. Apparently someone else at my office had called in an order and they would not take my order because "they didnt want the driver to come to the same location more than once" I was then transfered to the manager and told that, "the orders needed to be combined for the delivery to come to our office." Not too sure I have ever encountered a delivery policy that would not allow two deliveries to be combined by the same delivery driver. Business lost ... good job manager. I love this place. I will always come back and visit Mancino's! I was here for a quick dinner and ordered the Chicken grinder. It is basically a toasted sub sandwich with chicken, mozzarella, lettuce, tomato, and thin sliced green pepper, on the freshest italian bread. I constantly crave these warm and messy grinders. The 6-8 minute cook time really makes it fast. read more

Service was awful, employees extremely rude. All the tables were dirty and when we asked if they had a rag to wipe down the table, employee rolled her eyes and sent out another employee that was also extremely rude. Told him thank you, he responded with nothing. Very upsetting because the food is always amazing and wonderful but terribly service with ruin a business. Mancino's Grinders are unique and awesome! I live outside of Philly and have access to many great sandwich options, Hoagies, Cheese steaks etc. however Mancino's fresh baked bread, and oven toasting, really makes a killer sandwich. Forget those other places that do open face toasting now. they really don't measure up. read more

One of the best places to eat in Lapeer, hands down. Very clean and friendly, reasonably priced, and pretty conveniently located. The pizza grinders are awesome. They just remodeled this location and it looks great. Only two problems: 1) They are stingy sometimes. For a long time they required 25 cents for a refill; they have since ended this. They have stopped putting condiments out; you have to ask for them at the register. 2) They aren't open on Sundays. Not a huge problem but inconvenient since they are one of two decent places to eat in town. read more
