Third time Donovan has come out to do work on my place. Hard worker, nice guy, fair prices. This time to set up a utility sink in my outside storage area, to weather proof it with heat tape, which is actually an insulated wire you plug in that wraps around your pipes to heat them. I live in a mobile home with tricky old pipes. I can't really afford a professional plumber but unfortunately it's the best call sometimes, saving me $ in the long run. 'Do it right the first time!' I am only giving them 5 stars because the system wouldn't let me give them 6! They came recommended by my mobile home park and it's easy to see why. In a world of upselling they actually "downsold" me when Donovan came out, looked things over, and told me I didn't need a complete repiping, just a new water heater. We had an emergency today with our vacation home. Our housekeeping service found the kitchen drain completely clogged, and guests were due to arrive within an hour. Donovan went over immediately and had the problem diagnosed and fixed in no time. He called to let me know he had finished, but also noticed that our disposal was starting to rust out on the bottom and he would be happy to swap that out while he was there. He had that done soon enough and we are now back in business. Terrific service and great communication. Naturally, we paid the emergency rates on a Sunday evening, which were reasonable. We overhauled our bathroom and I hired Hukill's to remove our existing shower and install a new bathtub. Donovan gave us an excellent quote and was very communicative and transparent throughout the scheduling and installation process. He is extremely professional and kept me informed throughout the process. I also appreciated that he and his teammate wore their masks (during this pandemic) the entire time they were in my home. As they were working, they discovered mold on the existing walls and alerted me to the issue so I could seek mold remediation as necessary. They did a beautiful job installing the tub and also it was a relief that they hauled away the old shower and debris. I called several plumbing companies who would not do the demolition, so it was great that Hukill's did everything in one visit. They worked efficiently and did excellent work at a reasonable price. I had a faucet go on the fritz this weekend. I called various plumbers around town - and Hukill's was the only one to call me back on a Saturday. I set up an appointment for Monday morning. I was very impressed Donovan showed up on time with a call to tell me he was on the way. He was super friendly and courteous - and had researched where to get parts for my type of faucet (which isn't a mainstream brand) *before* arriving. He fixed the faucet very quickly - so quickly in fact - that he had time to look at a toilet problem we were having that was annoying but I had tabled as a secondary problem for another visit. He fixed BOTH the faucet and toilet with very minimal extra parts - so the experience was very affordable - and I felt like I got a 2-for-1 deal as he addressed both problems in under an hour.
