The worship is solid, the teaching is clear, and the environment feels healthy and genuine. You feel valued the moment you walk in. "Church shopping" can be difficult and if you're like me, you're looking at reviews to get an idea of what a church is about. So, I am going to do my best to evaluate the church in a way that will be helpful for others searching. Humanity church is true to its name. There is an overwhelming sense of community here and genuine connection. I felt like I was at a house church in that aspect. My initial impressions upon arriving was to take in the beautiful church building, quaint bit stunning. I arrived a couple of minutes late and was greeted warmly by two ladies. The church community is small enough that you could tell they recognize who the visitors are, but they don't put you on blast as some churches do. The church is definitely charismatic in their worship, preaching, and friendliness. The worship felt like a concert and the sermons were delivered with charisma and conviction. The Holy Spirit is welcome here and the sermons are more "inspired" than a 1-2-3 point sermon. Pastor Nathan brings up a sweat towel to dab at his forehead as he excitedly shares his convictions and relates his message to personal stories to tie in his points. The sermons feel supplemental and appear to be intended to be in conjunction with their "Humanity groups" (life/small groups). It is not taught verse by verse like a Calvary Chapel, but felt more like listening to a speaker at a conference. At the end of the service they push for you to get connected to a group, which I could tell is really a central part of where their community thrives. In addition, prior to my visit, I did some internet investigation on the church and found they have a strong social media presence. Through their church website, I was able to click on a link to their Instagram where there were current and up to date postings, keeping people connected. They are a small church but clearly doing something right to have such an enthusiastic congregation. The only negative comment I have to add is that the worship was not my favorite. There were fog machines and light beams, which really felt too showy to me and was distracting for me to worship. The singers were a bit pitchy, which was also distracting at times. While churches should be inclusive, I also believe that people should be placed where they are gifted and that there should be worship team auditions, as uncomfortable as that may be for some. I would recommend this church to anyone who is comfortable in a charismatic church setting! read more

Most amazing community of God loving people. They welcome you with open arms and love on you no matter what.

When I left Orange County, I never thought I'd find another really close, intimate, and fun church again. But man, was I wrong! Mosaic Pomona is a really awesome eclectic community of believers! It's a young church (I hate to even call it a church, because it doesn't feel like a traditional "church"), but not so young that I feel like a relic (I'm 54). The people are great and friendly, the worship is amazing, and they really do care about you. And meeting in the renovated Fox Theater ain't too bad either! Bottom line, if you are looking for a gathering of people who'll accept you regardless of where you are at on your spiritual journey, this is the place you need to check out. I've been involved with this church for about a year. This is the most awesome church I've been to! Creative, visionary, lively and centered on God's word, and love for all people. I definitely found my home here. I have the privilege of being part of the lead pastor's community group, where his wife also facilitates. Just like Sunday mornings, I can't wait to get there and I don't want to leave. When I have to miss a Sunday, I listen to the podcast because it's always so eye-opening, refreshing and encouraging. My life has changed because of Christ. God moves through His people and speaks through the pastor as well as the other leaders here. My walls of pride and bitterness often have broken down during worship and praise music times. I have been delivered from my anger and unforgiveness, and now live my life with a purpose - to love others, and love well. read more

What a wonderful community of faith. When you walk in the door you can feel the energy from everyone there. Mosaic Pomona meets in the middle of downtown Pomona at the beautiful Fox Theater. The music is lively and modern (not your typical "churchy" feeling). The message seems like more of a conversation than a sermon. This is definitely a church that is relevant. I was an active participate at Mosaic a few years back. I wouldn't have left either if the opportunity of paid ministry hadn't presented itself elsewhere. Leaving Mosaic was hard for me because I felt so connected to the community. They became my extended family. I was embraced by them straight away. They also showed support during all the difficult times, and gave me oppurtunity to spread my wings in worship. I will always look back with fondness at my days at Mosaic. Nathan the pastor is a very relational person who lives life alongside the community. Teachings are easy to digest yet deep, great especially for new Christians. I would highly recommend. read more

For our family, Mosaic Pomona is a faith community where it is safe to ask questions. There is Biblical teaching full of grace and truth and authentic relationships are flourishing with all their beautiful real life joys and messes. Worship is expressed in all aspects of life from service in the day to day as well as artistic outlets such as music and visual arts. The focus is on kingdom living in community and being whole. We fell in love with this church and its people the moment we entered its doors. When my husband and I moved a new neighborhood, we wanted to find a home church where we can feel welcomed and just be ourselves, while grow deep in Christ through community. We found all that in the past years that we have been to Mosaic (now Humanity Church). We love the worship, messages, and most of all, the people and their authenticity. We also love Pastor Nathan and his vision for the church. He is one of the most gifted speaker I've ever encountered, and his messages always challenge me to grow deeper in Christ. We also appreciate that the church has an artsy side to it, and explore with a lot of various creative arts as forms of worship. The children ministry is also wonderful, and the volunteers there genuinely care for our children. We are so blessed by this church community and its people! read more

I have found my church!! Today was my first visit, but Janice H(who I actually sat next to today), and her review really touched me to give this place a try. Sooooo happy I did. I have gone to other churches, and can't and won't say they were not good, they just didn't fill my spirit like this one did. You may call me biased since I've known the lead pastor since high school, but this church is seriously one of the most caring, thoughtful, and creative places I've ever been. Nathan Neighbour and his team of guest speakers tackle relevant and timely issues with a Biblical focus. You will leave a gathering not only with a practical knowledge of how to apply the message to your own life, but with new friends. Yes, this place is the friendliest place in Pomona! The people in this community really model Jesus' love. Any race, any age, any person is welcome here. Other churches might look at you with judgement: "Where did you come from?" I love this community! I was on the hunt for somewhere to truly feel at home - that was 5 years ago and I love it more now then at first!

I visited Mosaic for the first time last night and was impressed from beginning to end. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, including the pastor. The worship (it was primarily a night of worship) was AMAZING and truly ushered in the presence of God. The pastor gave a brief, but powerful message about love that reflected the Easter season. Beyond the staging, the people and the worship, the Spirit of God was so thick and tangible! It was a beautiful evening and I would encourage anyone searching for an excellent, loving, Spirit filled and Biblically centered church fellowship, it's a great place to land! read more

I absolutely love this church. I am very particular in where I choose to worship and Nathan makes me feel so loved and welcomed every time Im here. His wife is amazing too and she helped me get through some super rough times in my life. The worship band is amazing as well. Friendly, fun, and warm-hearted people who welcomed me in even when I didn't know anyone. Love that many of the members are artists and creative types. Good diversity in terms of race and age.
