Pastor Jack is amazing. I have been attending Calvary Chapels nearly my entire life and Pastor Jack is my favorite out of the many Calvary Chapel amazing church leaders. Pastor Jack deserves 5 stars. My 1-star more has to do with my men's Bible study experience. I was assigned to a men's group of about 15 and then assigned to partner up with the leader of our group who was a former school teacher. When he and I met one-on-one, he spent a lot of time bragging about himself and his career and then when he asked about me, I told him my work in technology and how I have been traveling throughout Asia for years working Asian governments and some of the largest companies there. He replied that he was not familiar with the technology world and had no interest in learning about it or my career. Then in class, we were discussing Proverbs 1:8: "Listen, my son, to your father's instruction..." And I said to the group, I am not sure how to take this because my father who has passed, was an alcoholic, a violent physical, emotional verbal abuser to me, and it was very clear he was more out to tear me down than build me up so I had to keep him arms length. And as a result, any instruction from him was more often than not manipulative. And then the Bible study leader, said to me, you know, I believe you were a bad kid and that you deserved that treatment from your father and I have a feeling that your father was a great man and you were the bad one. So I asked him, we have known each other for literally minutes and that is an extremely strong presumption you are making here on what should be a safe place and I don't think Pastor Jack would be thrilled with you making a statement like that in a Bible study on his campus. And it is extremely concerning to me that an alleged Calvary Christian man under Pastor Jack's leadership is saying that any kid deserves to be violently physically abused. And he replied, Pastor Jack is known for not being afraid to make controversial remarks and that is what I am doing. And then a solid Christian brother sitting next to me saw the Bible leader was out of place and then started to try to calm him down and bring the group back to Proverbs 1:8 and gave his interpretation of it. I never returned to the Bible study there after that experience of revealing what was a very private experience in my life in what I thought was a safe place and then having that Bible study leader weaponize it against me and humiliate me. That Bible study group leader actually reminded me of my violently abusive father and I walked away thinking abusers protect abusers and I will never return to another Calvary Chapel Chino Hills Mens Bible study. read more

Wow!! CC Chino Hills was definitely on my bucket list and I finally got to go with a friend several weeks ago. The community here is HUGE. Everyone was so friendly and inviting. I can't even begin to tell you how beautiful this campus is. I'm not sure who the pastor was but he was extremely charismatic. It's always great to hear about the word of God. I'd definitely say this congregation is more political than others I've been to. What matters is focusing on the scripture for spiritual guidance. read more

I came here from another Calvary Chapel. I enjoyed a non-denominational church that really was a bible study. But this place is not that. During my few years coming here, I can tell you that this place is a highly politicized church. There is no separation of church and state here. Some churches during election time will have a booth for voter information, etc. But this takes this to an entire new level, put it this way, when Donald Trump lost to Biden, Jack Hibbs got on his knees at the beginning of the service and, in a depressed state, asked God for forgiveness and pleaded with God to not understand why Trump didn't win. When Trump's allegations began to surface, he then turned to saying we need to vote for the party, not the man. Can't I just learn about the bible and the teachings of Christ? Don't be fooled by the beauty of the campus; it's a lot of money being poured into this campus so that this campus can be of political use. read more

The first thing everyone thinks is how big this church is. But the community becomes a lot smaller the more you serve along side one another. I've had the privilege of meeting many wonderful, God fearing individuals who have a great love for Jesus and it shows through their character. This is a wonderful church, they offer 3 Sunday services and one on Wednesday. They offer these services in multiple translations, just ask for which one you need in order to hear the audio live in your preferred language. They also have a great children's ministry from tiny little ones all the way to high school. In the courtyard you are able to watch, and listen to the service on the monitors. You are able to listen to it in the over flow areas as well, they offer it in a few places. They also have a wide range of miniseries that you can either receive assistance from or assist in (Standard clearance will be required). Finally, all of the pastors here have so much wisdom to share, in very thankful to be able to hear the word from them. Especially Pastor Jack, he truly has so much to share and I appreciate the time he takes to do so. read more

I started going to this church when I was a newer Christian. I thought it was a great place to meet other Christians since it's huge and I assumed the pastor was good since he is popular. I quickly learned there are downsides to this mega church. You feel very lonely in a sea of people. Not many make an effort to develop real friendships. If you do happen to have a conversation, it's unlikely you'll see them again. It's not a great place for introverts lol I did love the singles ministry teaching and encouragement especially because it was for older (30 year old to 50.) They have nice events. I did spend time with some people in that ministry. I also enjoyed participating in love life ministry and the call evangelism ministry. I really tried to get involved. I almost started volunteering as a greeter when I left abruptly. The reason I left was that I became very bored with the sermons. Pastor Jack did topical teachings along with Romans. I guess he's been in Roman's for years! ( i was there about one year.) I'd drive home THIRSTY FOR THE WORD. Many say Jack is charismatic and engaging but I found he talked in circles never really getting to a point. I loved his seeming love of Jesus but he'd say some really odd things sometimes that people found funny. There were many interesting guest speakers some of which I remember were Charlie Kirk, Frank Turek, Alisa Childers, Kirk Cameron, Amir Tsarfati, and other pastors or leaders in various organizations. A memory I hold dear was watching a reenactment of the Jewish sedar (sp?) the way Jesus would've had the last supper. I attended most events alone since I wasn't very close to anyone and I'm the only Christian in my family. The second reason I left was the worship. At first I felt like it was wonderful. It felt so grand and like you were connecting to God. Then I started paying more attention to the lyrics and I felt convicted about them. They sounded new agey and like we were trying to get an experience in a concert rather than simply worshipping God. The last reason I left was the heavy focus on politics. I think it's important for Christian's to participate in politics, but it should not supersede being a Christian first. We are in church to grow in the WORD not to be convinced during service on how to vote. I didn't agree with other biblical views they hold here especially pre-tribulation rapture which they push heavily. Jack would often talk about being raptured away soon and not having to deal with troubles on earth. "Don't worry guys! We'll be raptured before it gets really bad." I don't think it's wise to tell your congregation this rather than building them up for the coming persecution Jesus warned about. All in all, it's an ok church if it's your vibe and you align with these beliefs. I'm thankful for my time here. Now I'm much happier in my smaller biblically stronger church that felt like family from day one. Even the pastor took the time to get to know me. I never even met Jack Hibbs. Just saw him stroll by with a huge group. No way to really get to him in the crowds. I'm sharing this especially for new believers that may consider going here. read more

My 1st experience at this church was during Covid in Feb 2021, well our church was closed here in Fresno, California. My husband asked me what I wanted for my 60th birthday, I said I wanted to go to church at CCCH. Everyone was so friendly and it was so nice to see everybody's smile, no masks. We have visited a few times and really love the teaching Pastor Jack is right on and we love that he is a patriot! Worship is great. We have visited a few more times and we also watch online. This Chapel is simply amazing! The communication is clear, uplifting, and filled with biblical truths, beautifully woven into current events to make every message relevant, powerful, and spiritual. The worship experience is equally inspiring -- the music and songs are energizing, setting the tone for a truly moving service. No matter what time you attend, you'll find a warm, friendly, and very large crowd. Despite the size, there's always a seat available -- though if you're attending with a large group, it's best to arrive early to sit together. The security team is excellent, making everyone feel safe and cared for. Parking is spread out, but there are air-conditioned shuttle buses that quickly and comfortably take you to and from the Chapel. This was my second visit, and I couldn't be happier to now be a member! One of my favorite parts? As you exit, the sound of the BELLS ringing fills the air, leaving you with a joyful smile as you walk to your ride. Tip: Allow extra time for parking and walking -- it's worth every moment. I enjoy Jack Hibbs teaching. I don't enjoy the parking the worst EVER. I don't know how elderly people do it. I don't see too many of them there, I understand we have to have politics, and we have to understand about politics and politics through the Bible. But we don't always have to talk about politics. . Yes the parking can be a challenge but there's nothing wrong with a little walk! Especially when you're walking in to the sound of church bells! I love how the love for Jesus fills this church. Through fellowship, praise music, the word of God, prayer. Plus I find myself taking down notes which prompts me to continue reading at home or sharing with others. I had co workers that always raved about Jack Hibbs. So I first attended C.C.C.H in 2004 .The people are friendly there are so many different ministries to get involved in. The Call is the most powerful in my opinion 5***** I like how Pastor Jack goes out to the foyer , to check on his sheep. He is a great teacher, I really like how he gets us to get involved and informed not only in the church but in our communities as well. He does not tell us how to vote , like the fake news or what others say. He does not hold back ,he stand firm in the word. I love the worship very uplifting. The harvest which just passed is a awesome experience to enjoy with your children with fun and games (Cake walk ) is my fav. good food . I have many fond memories. I love this church . Pastor Jack Hibbs is the real deal and slightly entertaining. I love him! Not too entertaining where you are distracted from the main point of church but entertaining enough to where you're awake the whole service lol. This church has helped me a lot with my circumstances and never met a person I didn't like here. Truly, real followers of Christ who can and are willing to help you grow. I have sensed racism from a few people at churches but this is not one of those churches... they just see me as a human who needs God as much as they do, which I really appreciate. It is a BEAUTIFUL church btw I wish I could live there the restrooms feel like home they have lotion, scripture and cute flowers on the sinks. There's a mother's room along with day care and different ministries. You can listen to the sermon from anywhere really. Whether that's out on the courtyard, outside of the sanctuary or just walking around. They have youth group Bible study and women's Bible study as well. The only 2 things I'm a little concerned about but maybe that's just me being a mom, is that sometimes my son cries a lot when I leave him at daycare. Nothing seems out of order but it does make me wonder. He doesn't like going to their daycare but maybe he just rather be with me. Some days he's okay some days he fights me and refuses to stay which is unlike him in a familiar setting. The second thing is PARKING! You must be here early!! If you want to find parking . This is a huge church and if you're late you have to park in the warehouse across the street and it's quite a walk. They definitely need to expand parking but I believe they're aware of that already. Leaving is also tough because it feels like leaving a concert. Too many cars too much traffic. But besides that, this is my favorite Calvary chapel & I recommend it to anyone and everyone! I used to come here randomly before I was even born again. I can go on and on about this church. What I really love is that pastor doesn't shove anything down your throat. Doesn't beg for tithes and gives you the freedom of deciding on your own when to give your life to Christ. So many ppl don't want to even try church because they feel forced to say a sinners prayer every time. Not this pastor. Although I do believe it is extremely important to live for Christ I don't believe shoving altar calls down everyone's throat every service is the way to get people to salvation. I should have wrote a review here years ago when my husband and I went to our last service with pastor Jack. It is so unfortunate that he has made it more of a priority to talk about politics vs Bible teaching. His Bible teaching is excellent, but there was a huge shift in his sermons and his focus before Covid hit. His obsession with politics should turn any true believer away, as we know that as believers we should just pray for our leaders, but pastor Jack takes it so much further with even convincing his meme era to vote a certain way and to make sure certain bills are passed. I understand his desire to make a change there, but he needs to focus on bringing people to Christ and his love. We need to focus on loving our neighbors and not separating us more with politics. Having past senators and people who have been to war on the podium during Sunday service is out of line. read more

I go to church for a positive spiritual experience and find ways to improve myself as well as how I can help those around me. But immediately the message became political. I love this church. I grew up going to Calvary chapel Costa Mesa and Jack Hibbs has the same biblical teaching style as Pastor Chuck. I love how he talks about things going on in the real world also and how it ties to biblical prophecy. . This is a big church!!! if you don't like people or are anti-social this is not the place for you. If you want to get a seat in the main sanctuary, you have to get there at least 30 minutes early because it fills up. In this day and age it is so great to see so many people flocking to the church to hear the word of God. My children love the kids ministry. I live in South Orange County and I make the drive here every Sunday because I love the worship and the teaching and my children are happy. When Jack Hibbs says it's time to get right with God trust me it's time to get right with God because Jesus is coming back soon! read more

This "church" needs a lot of help! Having been going to church since I was a child and then becoming ordained and working within churches my whole life ... this was the single worst experience I have ever had attending a service. Literally no one welcomed us ... coming or going. The praise team was so awful that the pastor came out during there song to explain to the church we were supposed to sing along and praise the Lord. The message was all over the place and hard to follow along. Some interesting gentleman kept saying Amen for ever other word the pastor spoke in a monotone fashion. It almost felt like we were being punked. The church also had police with dogs on campus something I've never seen at church before. The church goers all seemed miserable and unfriendly. This is NOT what a church is supposed to be at all. Lets just pray for them ... they need the presence of the Lord in a real way read more

Blessed to be among 1,000s of Believers for this important event (Nonessential). I haven't been to in-person church in over 7 months and was overwhelmed to be where leaders are not ashamed or scared of preaching the Gospel. Barely could contain my tears of joy just to stand with these great witnesses of God. God bless the Pastors and their flock for standing with the Lord at his moment in time. Also for McCoy & MacArthur, and others (which is disappointing the many other mega church Pastors who are in still in the basement) leading us in these critical times. Truly, I had no hope for California until last weekend. God is good!!! I highly recommend this Pastor and his people at this church to anyone looking for the TRUTH!! I attended for the Bible study for two months and couldn't get over these big issues, mainly with the Pastor (Jack) and his beliefs which were very often contradictory). -At nearly every service during announcements it seems as though there is some plug for Jack Hibbs' personal website and social media, and often accompanied by his face on the screen. It seems his image is okay, but anything relating to Christ such as a cross is not allowed? -From the inside looks more like a concert venue than a church, with massive screens, speakers (with very loud music), and light racks up on the ceiling. And center of it all is Pastor Jack's pulpit (and often below him the menorah). No cross, no Bible, no image of Jesus Christ or even church logo. Jack Hibbs is there at the dead center of the stage. Just feels weird and cult-like. -They do keep a menorah out in front of the foyer which they bring onto the "stage" during communion even though the pastor frequently preaches that they do not believe in having images or artifacts. Why is the menorah okay but not a cross? -The church is located in Chino, but calls itself Calvary Chapel Chino Hills...a small thing sure, but consistent with what feels like the church's intense emphasis on personal image with Chino Hills being a higher-socioeconomic area than chino. I can see why a business might want to do this (many do in the area), but a church? -Jack claims the church is "nondenominational" and often bashes other Christian denominations and religion in general claiming "you don't need a church leader like Priest to find or be closer to God"...whatever you call it, he is the leader or "priest" of his "church" teaching his beliefs/interpretation/modern day application of Bible teachings and people attend his church over other churches and even other Calvary Chapels for him and his teachings. How is this leadership structure any different from that of another denomination or religion? read more

I have been going to this church for a while now. I can say that I have learned more in a year and a half than I did in church my whole life. This man is not for the weak or someone who wants him to tickle their ears and make them feel good about living in their sin. If you "want" to change hi is the perfect leader as he "leads" and doesn't just talk. He keeps the church up to date on political issues which I've read rubs a few the wrong way. I was Odd To me at first too as my church never mentioned politics, but Pastor Jack is right, the reason why the world is the way it is is because the church doesn't get involved. And how are we to get involved unless we know. So he informs us. The decisions you make from the information are your own to make but now you know. He preaching is wrong and 100% biblically based, Not based on personal feelings or "just another message". He had a zest for what he preaches, it's his life and it shows. It is hard to talk to him due to the size of the church, that is the only down side. They do have a number of associate pastors, but sometimes you wa t to talk to your pastor, that's the only down side here. Due to the things he's involved in he's always pulled every which way so I understand, but I'm still not fond of it. I wish his wife was more visible and active. Ive never seen her Anyways, if you want to learn, grow, put ain behind you, find truth and encouragement, this is your church. I drive an hour each way to come here, but my mom used to say "A church alive is worth the drive." And she was right! By the way the children's ministry is AMAZING! My kids LOVE coming. I have never seen a children's ministry so involved and so so much to draw the kids in. I love it and my kids love it! read more
