I'm getting married this week and this place absolutely DESTROYED my sisters bridesmaid dress for the wedding to the point where we had to rush order a new gown. She had gotten the dress used from poshmark and it had a few water type stains. The dress ended up coming back to us still with the stains in place and the addition of BROWN X MARKS that were added by the cleaner to seemingly mark the stains for cleaning. Whelp when you use what looks like a permanent marker it doesn't come out... stay far away from this place unless you want your items to come back worse than when you dropped them off. read more

The guy at the front desk chased me out of the building like a psychopath in front of other customers, yelling and calling me a bitch. Backstory is I called earlier in the day seeing if I needed an appointment. This man told me I could just come in and I would probably only have to wait about 5 minutes, so a few hours later I walked in. When I got there he proceeded to tell me I would have to wait 45 minutes because she's doing a wedding. Now, I would have no issue with this if I were just walking in without calling prior. I asked why he didn't inform me of her availability for the day on the phone and he had nothing to say so I said I would give them a call to make an appointment and walked out. I've now had 3 friends tell me that this man has been rude to them before as well. But chasing me out of the building yelling bitch? take your business elsewhere. read more

Great tailoring and seamstress service at a very reasonable price. Staff was friendly and helpful, with prompt service. I am petite and had to have a bridesmaid dress hemmed and altered. I also needed a skirt fixed. She took great care of me! Way more affordable, with attention to detail, and faster service than other options in NYC. Will definitely be coming back. read more

Would highly recommend to stay away from here. I had to show her that she completely made my dress lopsided. The fact that I had to point it out was already a red flag. She then told me it was fine 3 times before realizing it wasn't. She told me to try it on and it looked like she didn't make 1 alteration. The dress looked just as big as when I tried it on the first time. She told me to put Spanx on and it would fix it. Meanwhile, spanx would make it look even bigger!! After I got home I noticed she removed the tags so I can't even return the dress. Charged me $60 to do nothing. Never again. read more

Humble Thread is my go-to for dry cleaning. Cathy always does a fantastic job on my hems when they need some help. Conveniently located near me, on my way to work. I always recommend it my neighbors since it's so convenient and the hours are great for me, considering I work from 9-5. I've been a solid customer for a while now and can't imagine going anywhere else for all my delicate clothing. I trust their work and know it will always be done right. read more

I can't begin to even describe my utter disgust with this place. As the mother of a groom, I brought a $900 Diane Von Furstenberg dress there for slight alterations. The mindless women butchered my dress beyond repair. I could throw up over the incompetence. DO NOT GO THERE. They deserve zero stars! read more

Horrible experience. I was recommended here by my two friends. Unfortunately, I failed to look at the reviews! I took my daughter's $500 prom dress there. It was a disaster. Not only did they mess up my daughters prom dress, they were giving me attitude. I had to go into the store 4 times because they woman that altered the dress has no idea what she was doing! The beads were falling off the dress and on top of that they overcharged me! Don't waste your money or time! If I had read the negative reviews before, I would have never gone there. By all means go there if your dress is a $20 marshall's dress but anything more than $200 don't waste your money. read more
