I went to this place because they were highly recommended but my experience was a memorable one and not in a good way. Twice I went to pick up my dress to wear at my daughter's wedding and it wasn't ready. When it was finally "ready", it was too tight and she had closed the slit on the side which made it very difficult to walk or sit or dance, PLUS there was a stain on it, which they never took accountability for. They tried to get it out but didn't work. They did open up the side slit again but still a bit tight! It cost me $35 to get the dry cleaners to get rid of the ugly brown stain! Needless to say, I will not be using their services ever again!!! read more

We had a great experience here! Came a few weeks before a wedding to get my bridesmaid dress fitted and my boyfriends suit altered. Took about 10 days (we built in enough time so we didn't ask them to rush or anything) and everything was perfect. The dress fit wonderfully, as they altered it not only to make it shorter but raised the shoulder up for a bit more coverage. They shortened the sleeves on my boyfriends suit and hemmed the pants. I can't even give this tailor a rating bc they refused to work with my dress bc it has beadwork. It has a tiny bit of beading and I was shot down the second I walked out of the dressing room. Ok fine, but at least change your advertising which states "no job is too big or too small". read more

So kind and they do excellent tailoring, from simple shortening of pants to more complex reconstruction of jackets so they fit. Highly recommend! read more

Since this Tailor gets recommended so much on social media, I felt the need to chime in. I had them alter a bridesmaid dress for me, and they were pretty backed up so I couldnt pick it up until the morning of the wedding. I was a little upset by the price when I picked it up...it was Very expensive for very minor alterations to the straps. But they get so much press i hoped it was worth it. When I went to get dressed, the straps were literally sewn on twisted and backwards! I had to find a scissor and literally rip the stitches all out and luckily the hotel front desk had a little thread kit and I was able to semi rig it up just before the wedding started, albeit very terribly. But the straps were at least pinned and sewed on the right way. After all that money. What a nightmare. Leads me to believe the reviews are phony. Sorry, but Never again :( read more

Brought them 4 pairs of slacks and 2 men's suits All new Slack hems were puckered and different lengths on each leg Suit jackets were taken in on outside but lining not removed so was puckered and wrinkled Paid 165 dollars When I took everything back to complain, they made it worse I am now having a "real tailor" fix their work read more

Alba has been my seamstress for over 20 years. She does fabulous work. Taking seams in or out. Shortening cuffs and pants. Worked on my leather jacket. If you need it fast, she does her best to accommodate your needs. When I am not in a rush, I let her tell me when it will be ready. read more

Not only did they do IMPECCABLE work, but they were able to have it completed in DAYS! I needed it rushed -less than a week before the wedding- and they had it done right on time. Took them two pairs of $300 pants told him how much the pants were regular the first pair came out OK I requested a 2 inch ham with the same thread wasn't really straight but I didn't complain then I sent another pair the exact same pant the ham is 1 1/2 inches on one side and 2 inches on the other side because the color is brown it really shows again I complain I told her it's not straight can you do it I asked the owner she said yes when I first called about how much it cost to hem jeans she said $14-$16 today and pick up my jeans yes it was a straight line she says it's $20 because they're wider than the other jeans which they are not later I will post a picture side-by-side the exact same with seems to me she's pissed off because they did a bad job why am I supposed to pay $20 when you messed up my other jeans ! I said happy holidays pretended like I was going to come back forget that third pair of jeans cost $500 thank God it was a straight ham shouldn't cost me 20 bucks for him I'd rather go to short hills mall and get it done right the first time read more

Today I went to pick up clothes that she couldn't find, and when she did find them, they still were not done after I was told they would be done Wednesday. This business has really become disappointing. I used to bring a lot of various clothing to them but today I question their customer service. They are supposed to be open at 8 am. I arrived at 9:50 am and there was a note on the door they would open at 10 am. So I waited outside for 10 minutes as a line formed. Then a few minutes after 10 am, one of the owners said they would not be opening at 10 am and to come back at 10:30 am! Who knows if they will actually open then and I need to get to work so they just lost all of my future business. I will be finding a new tailor. I'm done. read more

Great experience here. I had a bridesmaid's dress altered, which involved hemming three layers and taking in the neck and bust of the dress. Cost me $90, compared to E & N Tailor down the street which charged my friend $120 for similar alterations. Alba did a great job with the alterations. When I picked my dress up there was a faint stain on the back and she worked hard to get it out before I left. I will definitely be coming back here if I need more tailoring services. read more

Really well managed business. They do a very nice job of any tailoring that has been taken there - from simple hemming, alterations and fixes to small tears or rips. Typically get things done in 1-2 weeks so do some planning for your needs - they may do rush jobs, but over never had the need to ask. The people are professional, pleasant and business-like. Parking can be a challenge is trying to park directly next to store, but usually plenty of metered street parking just near the location. I recently attended a wedding in LBI this past weekend and needed my dress hemmed about 5-6 inches. I needed a hem for a bridesmaid dress with same day turnaround. We were greeted so nicely, and when I asked for same day hem...she was basically like "no problem" and took the dress. Three hours later it was done and perfect! They saved my day!! I don't know what else I would have done. I had two things done. First, I had a hole patched in a wool shirt. I wore it once and the patch failed. Second, I had a zipper replaced on a nylon winter jacket. The zipper no longer lays flat and they cut off the chin guard and did not replace it. On the upside, the items were ready on time and the cost was low. I guess you get what you pay for. read more

I have had a few things done here. Minor things like linings and hems stitched/reparied. I looked over the item before I paid for it and sometimes they missed or forgot to do something and they fixed what they missed while I waited (2 stars). However, the big item they did for me was replace a full lining in my three-quarter length winter leather coat. I called around for estimates, one local highly rated store told me they start at $240! Long story short, this shop did it for $120. I have been wearing the coat for a month now and it is great! Ok, full disclosure, a button they sewed is loose again but they saved me a lot of money. 5 stars for this! 4 stars overall. read more

Since the original owners left, it appears the service and expertise has suffered. I recently brought a suit to be altered,huge mistake! The work that was done was not only sloppy,but to quote the second tailor I had to go to in desparation, the slacks were mutilated! What a waste of time and money going here.
