They have fantastic products. I have made multiple attempts to order some shirts online as I do not live locally. Their website is currently being worked on, as it has been for over a year now, so the only way for me, an out of state person, to purchase anything is to call. I have called and talked to multiple people ten times now over the course of the last year. Each time I'm told something different, but in the end of each conversation, I'm also told that they'll get the order to me as soon as possible. I've never received anything from them. Mind you I've never been charged, either, but still: I'd love to support local business, and these folks truly make a great product, but they've made it impossible for me to support them. I walked in wearing an older Humboldt Republic hoodie, hoping to find more. There was only one other customer, 2-3 salespeople on the floor.. I browsed for 10 minutes, and NO ONE said hi, gave me a nod, or even looked at me. Not even the guy casually hanging shirts a few feet from me. Its like I didn't exist. Wow. Okay...... You'd think, from a 100% local business, you'd get greeted. I would've ignored that and bought a cool shirt anyway, but I didn't see a single piece of clothing that had even a remotely cool design, not in the women's or men's clothing. Their ladies clothes seemed cheap and thin.. and just in really bad taste! Stuff you'd find on the sale rack at Ross. What happened!!!! Half a year ago at their Reggae on the River booth, I swear these guys had a booth full of clothes with super cool designs on well made clothes, and I'd made a mental note to go buy some at their Eureka shop. Now its cheesy lookin stuff that says Humboldt, yay. Did a really awful designer take over? I looked really hard for my cool shirt score. Nothing. Amazing store, great products, and their costumer service is the best! The owners and employes are just genuine good people! They know every detail about how each product they carry was made and can answer any question you have down to the stitching on the hats ( I had lots of questions when buying a present for my brother in law:]). Also, I had my wallet stollen a while ago and when someone came in to their store to use one of my Humboldt Republic gift cards ( that one of the managers had previously cancelled and replaced IN FULL for me) they went out of their way to help me catch this thief! Great store to have in Eureka, where it is so difficult to find anything decent anymore. Their own line of t-shirts and hoodies are really original and resonably priced compared to their competitors.
