Health insurance is expensive and a daunting process that seems futile at times. I booked a free consultation with Brooke thinking that it would just be another runaround trying to get me to commit to plans that were much more expensive than I could afford but she was super down to earth and easy to talk to. She quickly gathered that I am eligible for ACA(Affordable Care Act) and my jaw dropped when I saw how affordable the options were. After looking in to a few plans and her explaining what they mean, I'm enrolled to have substantial coverage for a fraction of the cost of everything that I researched myself. I wasn't sure if this went through or not. I wanted to make sure that you received this review. I called over a month ago to set up an appointment in person. I drove six hours for the appointment from South Carolina to North Carolina. My husband and I are retiring and moving to North Carolina and was looking for life insurance over $500,000 for each hospitalization insurance supplement insurance for myself. My husband is not at retirement age. when I arrive in North Carolina, I call the day prior to the meeting. I received a call from someone stating they had not set up an in person meeting for me and my husband, but was willing to meet over the phone. That is unacceptable with the amount of time you had to schedule and plan accordingly this is the worst customer service from any company I've ever had. read more

I was impressed by the reviews these people had already got, so I thought it would be nice to use a "mom and pop" type of health insurance that's located just around the corner. I thought they'd treat me like a real person and take care of me like one of their own - boy, was I wrong! My agent (who I believe is the owner of the place) found me a really great three-part plan that I thought sounded wonderful. I had several long phone conversations with him last November and December, as it was getting close to decision-time for my health plan this year. I was happy and thinking everything was covered. Imagine my surprise, when I get no information in January, call him to find out what's happening, and discover that he has completely forgotten ALL about our phone conversations and has not implemented the plan that I chose! So now I end up with no health insurance! I am beyond pissed off by the way I've been just dumped. He apologized profusely when I managed to get a hold of him and said he'd be making sure the health plan is implemented from February at least. Okay, well I suppose that will do, but now when I call him for updates, he refuses to call me back, or waits 24 hours before calling me, at night when I'm not available. When I call the office and ask for somebody else to call me please, nobody calls me. So unfortunately, I feel that I have been very unfairly treated. These people deserve a terrible review and so they are getting one. Needless to say, I will never use them again. read more

It's Open Enrollment time and we're still trying to navigate our way through ObamaCare, but we're getting there! In my opinion, it would not be wise to scratch the whole thing and start over. There has been some really good progress made in the House of Universal Health Care if we look at it further than just the end of our nose. It may need some serious tweaking, but there are a Lot of good things about ObamaCare that simply have not been celebrated. My situation is complicated as we recently moved to NC from California and went from full time employment with benefits to unemployed, my husband is 65 and eligible for Medicare but we are also wanting supplemental insurance and we have a daughter who is 19 and is living in Salt Lake City.
