Five Star Junk Removal went above and beyond! Peter and his crew of two guys were so nice and courteous. Peter is seriously a gem of a person and his English accent made the whole process feel more dignified. He responded quickly and was patient with all my questions. I needed to remove most contents from a basement that had twenty years of garbage, junk, and family memories piled high- A job I was putting off for years out of dread. I explained that I was too scared to go into the basement alone so I had not thoroughly looked through everything to be sure there wasn't anything I should be keeping, I was going to stand outside by the truck and look over things as they hauled. I am certain this kind of job would have irritated most people but Peter and his guys were not only as understanding as a therapist would be they actually pointed out some things to consider keeping and double-checked before throwing things on the truck, I felt like they were working with me as a team. They were professional and very thoughtful, it meant so much to me! It blew me away that they also swept up afterward and made the place look a million times better. Peter and Get It Gone are absolutely AMAZING! I highly recommend them and think they are one of the best companies I've ever found/worked with on Yelp. My job was to move my parents out of their house of 40+ years and to do it in only four days. Initially, I reached out via Yelp, and they responded almost immediately. I provided pictures and description of the initial work and they provided a quote and an outline of where they donate usable good and where they recycle. They honored their quote, which was very reasonable, for the initial job. Unfortunately, due to my short timeline, I was unable to complete the job as scheduled, so asked them to provide a quote to finish removing the remaining junk inside the house (two stories with a basement). This included old chemicals, literally a ton of paper, piano, furniture, and 40 years of accumulated junk - all while I was out of town. They worked during the 2019 snow storm, got everything removed, provided receipts of chemical disposal, and also before and after pictures. And they stuck to their original quote! Peter with 5 star junk removal was awesome! I had sent out estimate requests to 5 different junk removal companies. Out of the 5, peter was the quickest to reply. In the end he and 1 other of the 5 companies had the sAme estimate ( the others were 109, 119, 199 to remove a child's climbing structure from our backyard). I chose peter aside from the other with the same estimate as he was the most prompt in answering several of my questions . Within 24 hours he removed the structure and also took with it a large bed frame that had been sitting out by dumpster for months. He didn't even have a credit card as I was not home at the time. He went ahead and did all the work and the extra of cleaning up the old bed frame for me as well . He went above and beyond and I really appreciated it. I inherited a home in which a hoarder had been living. After I realized how big a job it was, I requested an estimate from two companies. Peter responded immediately with a good price, the other company never replied. Peter showed up on time, he and his co-worker Robert accomplished so much in such a short period of time, were cheerful and pleasant and did a great job. His invoice was as expected and very professional. But Peter then went above and beyond, fixing our toilet, making valuable suggestions for next steps, such as suggesting I get liability insurance, letting me know there were hardwood floors under the carpets and providing an estimate for further upgrades to the property. These guys are amazing! I had recently moved into a home that was last rented by a hoarder. They cut up and hauled away a very old broken down hot tub that was just a mess and years of junk that was tossed around it. Not only did they go above and beyond doing a great job that had been requested but they also helped me with a bit of yard work and with a guy who was installing a garage door opener for me, even though that person was being rude to them. Absolutely the best experience possible! Peter went above and beyond, taking multiple trailer-loads out of a massive estate clean up project. Whatever I needed gone, he accommodated my requests. I called Humpty Dumpty because they clearly showed their load cost on their web site, would take everything I had with no limitations, and would recycle what they could. Contacted Peter who answered the phone on a Sunday night and he scheduled me for a pick-up on Monday morning. They showed up at the planned time, with good communication and pleasantly loaded everything as planned. Great service and Peter even has a good sense of humor. These guys were so great!!!! I had a couch that was too large for my apartment/entry way/ stairway and they had that and 3 other larger items including a mattress out in about 30 minutes!
