We stopped at Humpty's Big Plate Diner in Lethbridge for breakfast and had such a great experience! Everything was delicious, fresh, and exactly the kind of comforting breakfast we were craving. We especially loved that they use Alberta produce and Alberta meat, which makes the meal feel even more special and local. The portions were generous, the food was full of flavour, and the service was friendly and welcoming. A great spot for a hearty breakfast when you're in Lethbridge. It's all about the eggs. As you may have guessed from the name, "humptys" resteraunt is mostly a breakfast style resteraunt, with a heavy emphasis on eggs. This isn't fine dining, but it isn't fast food either. The atmosphere and the food is comprable to Dennys, although they have remodeled so it's relativley nice inside. I would say that the service is just ok. The waiters/waitresses are friendly but we only saw ours 4 times- when we ordered, when we got our food, when she took our dishes away and when she brought our bill. No drink refills. I was here a couple of weeks ago and the service was the same. From ordering to getting our food was 19 minutes- average I would say, and not too bad considering they were very busy. The food was good. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing too special either. Lots of eggs, bacon, and cheese on everything. Definetley not health food, but not slathered in grease. You can get perogies as a side dish, and they are quite good, but today they were overcoomed and tough. If you are adventurous, and have a healthy heart, try the perogies supreme- eggs, cheese, bacon, chese sauce and it's gigantic. Heart stoppingly delicious. Summary? A pretty good place to eat breakfast in lethbridge, at least as good as any of the other breakfast resteraunts, ok service, ok (but not fast) wait times, and pretty average prices. A diner open in the middle of the night, why sure why not! This place is where I used to hang out with friends after a late shift at a nearby location. I don't do that anymore because I no longer live in Lethbridge or work anywhere in the area. The food is good, fairly inexpensive and the service is pretty good as well. This restaurant changes the routine from only being able to go to Tim Horton's or Denny's. I highly recommend this restaurant for the good times you can have at all hours. read more

This is the only good experience we had when we stayed in Lethbridge back on oct 6 2012. We had breakfast and it was good food compared to the dinner we had the night before, and it didnt break the bank either. The waitress was awesome..she was right there when we needed stuff like she got telepathy... i would definitely go back there if I visit Lethbridge in the future. read more

I haven't been to Humptys in years and when my boyfriend wanted to go I was a little skeptical. But I was pleasantly surprised. We had a very sweet server and the food came out hot and fast. And it was delicious. Definitely changed my opinion of Humpty's! I'll be choosing them over Denny's for all my late night endeavours. read more

Well where do i start? ...Lousy Service for starters, i was in my work clothes (i clean and deliver portable bathrooms) and was told by my server ( a rather large girl with syrup stains all over her shirt) that i stunk like an adult film set! I couldn't believe it! Then i ordered the "bangers and eggs" i found shells in my eggs and a piece og paper with a phone number on it that said "for a good time call Cindy". It didnt stop there! As i placed the banger in my mouth (which should be re-named the John Holmes Sausage) becasue the thing is so big and you cant fit it in your moith, i bit into the thing and hot grease exploded in my mouth and burned my tongue real bad!.....awful experience and i dont thimk i would ever go back read more

I really wish there was a no starts option. We went there due to fact Dennys was horrible last time. We arrived there and I asked for a coffee in received a coffee and on top of the cup was a dirty spoon...that should of been the first sign to leave. I asked for another spoon and once again it was dirty. I finally received a clean spoon and was happy to finally drink my morning coffee. Well that went downhill quickly, my cup was also dirty!!! I don't know why we did not just walk to then. We proceeded with our order. It came in a timely matter. Starting eating, my friends eggs were over cooked and we also found a piece of a METAL SCRUB BRUSH in his hashbrowns. So he was done with his meal. I ordered a pan scrambler it looked okay but that soon changed after, I found slime from raw eggs!!!!!! After that we were told that our meals were taken care of, trust me that came with a lot of attitude! And then we all got the stare down for all the servers as we were walking out.
