I've eaten off and on here for a few decades and this time AGAIN , it was NASTY. We all ate from the buffet. I got one piece or two of small amounts each because I couldnt finish them. Beef was nasty tasting, like eating rubber. The coconut shrimp was small shrimp with coconut thrown on it. Chicken was tough and dry. The green beans were good , the egg roll was good and the vanilla pudding was good. I couldn't even eat a whole sushi roll though and at $15.00, I feel I was robbed again. Good Chinese buffet. Not a large variety of selections, but everything is really good. My fave is egg drop soup. The BBQ ribs are amazing.

I can not speak about the to go ordering of food at this establishment. My review is strictly based on the lunchtime buffet eating experience I had. First of all, walking in, I noticed ample seating for this restaurant. Despite all of that seating, more than half the place was full. That's a positive in my book. The service is prompt and efficient. They stop just short of feeding you the food directly. The variety of food is surprising at this place. For only having one buffet warmer, it seems like their are at least 20 different options for you to mix and match. Taste wise... with so much variety, you will find something to go back for seconds or thirds. Everything was really fresh and restocked often. All in all, if you are Livingston and want a Chinese buffet, call this place and see if they have the buffet going...I think it will be worth your time. I was hungry for Chinese Buffet and am happy I found this buffet. There're varying ratings already posted here so I want to see for myself. Everything was De-Lic-eous! People kept coming to replace the trays as they got low but I never saw one empty. I confess it may be Too Good because I ate three plates full so definitely broke my diet but oh, "just a little more" became a plateful twice! I went all in on the main entrees, buttered shrimp and king crab, chicken, and beef. Yes Mom, all my dishes did half vegetables with them and were also delicious. The salad, sweets and ice cream looked great but I came to graze entrees. Next time I pass by Livingston I'll make sure to stop by even if it's just to-go! Other than Panda Express, this is the only option for Chinese food in Livingston. The food is mediocre at best, the fried rice was greasy yet somehow the driest fried rice that I've ever had, really disappointing. This was consistent on several visits before I finally just gave up on hoping for better. It's worth the 30-minute drive to bypass this place and go to Cleveland for the closest decent Chinese buffet. read more

We visited this restuarant on Saturday, September 30, 2023. We had a party of six plue a baby. Two of the six were kids. The kids did not eat from the buffet, one just ate oranges and the other ice cream. When I menitioned this to the cashier she still charged me the buffet price for them. Food waas not 100%, it was ok but not great. Our waiter disappeared, however, there was a female that was very friendly. How can you justify charging an 8 and 12 year for full buffet when they didn't eat the buffet. I would of pain for the oranges and ice cream. We were traveling so limited on places to go. read more

Best Chinese food in town(: Especially if youre on a budget or you have alot of people and you don't want to flatten your wallet. We always go at lunch and it's 6$ for a buffett and it's super good. The owner is so super sweet. He always comes out and walks around, asking everyone if the food and experience is fine. The food always tastes the same which is GOOD. Buffet. Found a few things I like. Just have to wait for fresh to be put out. A lot of chicken dishes get overly dry. They put out shrimp that's not deveined. I don't do that. Crab Rangoon would be better if for not being overloaded with cream cheese mixture and having too thick and chewy wrapper. Ginger soy sauce would be nice. Careful where you sit. I have to agree with the other reviewer. I tried Hunan once last year after moving to Livingston from out of state, and it was just not good at all. My husband and I both had food that was cold, poorly prepared, and all the chicken dishes tasted the same. I went back later in the year, thinking perhaps I had gone on an off day and was very disappointed to find the same thing. I have not tried the other Chinese buffet in Livingston, mainly because of the horrid experience with Hunan. If we want Chinese food, we drive to Conroe or Kingwood. read more

We had dinner here tonight with the family and really enjoyed it. We once were regulars at Hunan, but the quality seemed to decline about a year ago and we avoided them for months. After hearing from friends about improvements to the food, we decided to venture there again this evening. A most pleasant surprise! The buffet items were all fresh and hot, not to mention tasty. Our favorites are the fried shrimp, green beans, General Tsao's chicken, Princess chicken, noodles, and sushi - but everything was hot (or chilled, in the case of the sushi and boiled shrimp!) and delicious. Although the selection here is not huge, the quality of the food makes up for it. I've always been one to chose quality over quantity, and I definitely was not disappointed. Apparently the word is out in our community, too, as Hunan was crowded tonight, unlike we've ever seen before. Keep up the good work, Hunan! read more

Completely disgusting. Hands down the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten in my life. I know have $40 of garbage to throw out since no one in my house is willing to eat this trash. We wore our masks and gloves like the sign asked us to. And then a man and a boy come in to prepare some Togo plates. They did not wear masks or gloves. The child VOMITED ON THE BUFFET !! We informed the women working the place. They come and clean the vomit up from the floor and then spray some chemicals on the buffet to clean it off of there. Only, they left the noodles and craw fish there with the vomit and now cleaning chemicals in it. Even whe we asked the cashier about the noodles, she carried on to just add more noodles to the pan.
