I got my order to go. The orange Chicken and steak bento box were very good. It took about 15 minutes for my order so it must have been made fresh. We had a little of the edamame and pepper tuna then had some spicy tuna roll along with the crab and cucumber roll, then dinner! The fried Korean corn dog satisfied my craving without having to drive to Houston. We came from Jasper and stopped in for dinner. The sushi was decent and the kids steak hibachi was a good serving. It was enough to share between two kids. The Thai tea was good- we just wish they had a boba option. The miso soup and mushroom broth were tasty. This newly opened spot was having a large post-lunch rush as we arrived at 2:30pm. We were sat promptly as was a party of six. Our original appetizer order wasn't available and we selected Shumai as an alternative. It was beautifully presented 20 minutes later. Our order was placed while we waited for its arrival. Our order didn't arrive for another 45 minutes . When it did it was presented as nicely as I've seen and was fresh and satisfying. We ordered the Michu for dessert - both were excellent. 1st visit and the place left quite the impression! At first sight it was very clean and had a welcoming ambiance. The service was very good and everything was delicious. We started with the seasoned edamame. It was served hot and very well seasoned. We asked for them to be a tiny bit spicy and they were perfect! The main entrees were the Hibachi grilled chicken and the Shrimp Yaki Soba. The hibachi chicken was cooked to perfection. Very moist and full of flavor. The meal included a miso soup (delicious), fried rice & veggies. Everything was cooked perfectly and freshly made. The Shrimp Yaki Soba was very flavorful as well. It had shrimp, carrots, peppers, and cabbage. The noodles were soft and the veggies were cooked just right! I almost finished the whole plate because it was so good! I'm glad we stopped in by chance. The miso soup is excellent! The specials include miso. Sashimi lunch was generous portions of 4 fish. Very fresh. Very tender. The lunch rolls are smaller but well proportioned. Rice is just enough to maintain a good balance of taste. The sushi rice itself was well balanced. They have Japanese tea as well! Everyone is Japanese! I am not a big fan of Japanese food but my wife is. The thing about this place is it is without a doubt the highest quality food for miles around. I have had sushi, sashimi, teppan, bento, and tempura all over the west but this place has absolutely the freshest fish. Tempura is also of a very good quality. I also had their hibachi steak and it was some of the best steak I have had in Texas. Not the kind of place to go if you want volume and. cheap. The price is more like Houston but so is the quality.
