The food at Abra Wraps is always fresh; the wraps are made to order and anything sitting in the hot box does not look like it has been there for long. The menu includes felafel's, steak wraps and burgers. Abra Wraps also caters for the health conscious type and those with dietary needs; they offer grilled meats (rather than fried) and have gluten free options. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming; it is always nice to see staff members are happy to serve you.

People have always told me salad could be a lot more interesting and delicious than the green stuff next to my steak. And after my first trip to Willes Fine Foods on Oxford Street I am beginning to to think they may have been right. The interior is nothing exciting but the cabinet that stretches the length of the place hosts enough yummy looking stuff to more than make up for it. In addition to a range of salads there are quiches, lasagnas, vegetable patties and a sandwich bar. The staff were quick and efficient and happy to jam as many salads as I asked for into the one container. It was crazy busy while I was there, no doubt due to the lunch time rush and its growing popularity. I got out of there eventually though, with a tub of salad and big coffee in tow and headed to the park just around the corner. Ten minutes later, as I stared down at an empty container I realised that I was actually full. Not a state I had ever credited a salad with before. Perhaps there was a future for us after all.

Obviously, there are tons of burgers to choose from so that may have been a factor this time around. Today, my friends and I tried Burger Urge for the first time. I had the red hot chili pepper burger with sweet potato fries. They let you choose between white or whole wheat buns. I ordered the whole wheat and thought the buns were quite plain. The burger was nice but didn't WOW me. It was not spicy either. I didn't like how my slice of cheese was not melted on the burger. The sweet potato fries were good but could have used a dash of salt. I wasn't a big fan when they asked if I wanted to pay more for sauce. It should come with a little sauce. I understand if you want to charge more if I ask for more but other places didn't charge me for sauce. Good alternative place on campus to eat than just the food court. For $16, I wouldn't come back here on a regular basis. It's good, just not great.

The menu is pretty straight forward with a range of burgers, sandwiches, and side items. I opted for their "Babe and Daisy" burger which btw does not come with fries but has to be a separate item. The order was pretty fast, and it all looked absolutely delicious. When I bit into it though, I definitely noticed the different type of meat. I know I'm in a foreign country but what happened to the classic beef flavor? It had this peppery, semi-bland taste. It really took over the burger and no amount of tomato sauce could hide it. I was disappointed. The only that really saved the meal was their promotion for 2-4-1 when my friend and I split the cost of 2 burgers for one.

The pork was alright, but not fantastic. All well presented and put together, but just not great to eat. We did have a great dessert though - the sizzling chocolate brownie, oh my! I'd be curious to see what the rest of their menu is like. Tucked away inside rosalie village parking can be an issue but even parking two blocks over wont deter me from maintaining this good relationship. Mints in Rosalie is a perfect restaurant to visit to dine on authentic (or at least what I believe to be authentic) Vietnamese food. I have tried a number of dishes from this place and have not ever been dissapointed. My favourite would be the Chicken Tom Yum Soup which incorporates the most devine mixture of herbs and spices.The lemongrass, mint and chilli gives this dish a nice kick without being too spicy. If your taste palette is more inclined towards the hot and spicy, I have been informed their spicy beef noodle soup is excellent. I can't say I am 100% happy with this place though as every time I have eaten in, the service as been lackluster. I do not blame the staff as I feel the reason for this is that there is simply not enough staff for the number of customers. Because I am in love with the food and am not a complete "service snob", this does not bother me too much but I am sure others would be less understanding. I would recommend the owners put on more wait staff during their busiest hours to avoid any complaints. Overall, I do love going to this restaurant whether it is to dine in or to take-away. The lack of service is not a huge issue for me but if you are the kind of person who enjoys impecable table service, I would recommend going on a weeknight, for lunch or order take-away.

These are some of the greatest kebabs outside of the city and it beats Fortitude Valley kebab shops hands down. Value for money, friendliness, cleanliness are all winners here, and the meat is delicious!! They have some combo deals as well and chips and gravy, all very good!! I've noticed spinach pastries but have not yet tried them.. definitely a winner !
