Makes you wonder who is really writing these comments eh? Gotta get those positive ratings up right? My experience is about the same as "Eric's". Our adoption process was left frustrated, double-billed, and ultimately left out in the cold. Law firm changed us for a "paperwork prep" time that obviously needed more prep since the lawyer showed up to court without all the papers that we gave her. A 1/2 day of leave and babysitter fees gone in the wind. Did she ever appologize? NOPE! Was the prep charge refunded?..NOPE! Filed Termination Order with obvious errors. Birth dates of children in question were wrong. If you do the math on the errors, the children would have been born less than within the same 6 months of the year, to make matters worse, we were told we would be charged again for the correction.....WHO LEFT THE GATE OPEN? Deleted correspondences, messages and charges for service paperwork off of the mycase website. Why delete this information unless you have something to hide? These are just 3 specific examples of our frustration. After we scheduled a date to sit down with the actual attorney for Wednesday the 1st, and not with the 2 assistants, we were told we weren't over-charged and that they weren't serving us anymore, all this over "MY CASE" website, not a phone call or in a personal discussion. How's that for service people? So, do you think I'm a fictional person making this stuff up? Lets wait for a response from them to see? (I copy and pasted this review from GOOGLE where I posted the original) This place is straight up garbage.......1500 dollar retainer is steep for most things needed..you won't get it back..and she'll let you go over MYCASE website......totally unprofessional.

The only consistency was new people handling my case. The only way I knew about these changes was after countless unanswered emails until someone replied informing me that the prior person no longer worked there and that they were now "reviewing my file." I've used Edward's in the past and never encountered the disrespect I've encountered recently, once I requested a meeting in person he withdrew from custody and ED and left me in limbo also lied constantly told me permanent custody isn't for another yr and it's scheduled this Aug. Going through custody battle and to be displayed to the public as if I've abused my children and Edward's knew that was a lie. But this is what I do know anything happen to my kids in the event I am defending myself. Mr. Edward's you gone have to kill me inside of 300 Dick st. Him and his staff was beyond disrespectful indirectly, gas lighted me, Gina picked up the phone and hung it up constantly. He assisted my ex wife in destroying my character. So im not an attorney but from what I was told you and the firm can be sued individually. Wish you the best of luck and again anything happen to my kids... eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth. And then I'll sit where you so desperately want me. God forbid a Blackman for once don't have a criminal history because I decided to serve this racist ass country.And most importantly be safe. Run, don't walk away from this firm…read more My ex-wife used this firm while we were going through our divorce. Our divorce was very amicable. We did not need to go to court or even to any kind of sit down with lawyers. Her and I basically ironed everything out ourselves. My ex decided she wanted a lawyer to make sure she did everything correctly. Choosing this place was a huge mistake that cost her a lot of money. This firm kept asking for more money to do this or that or anything that needed to be done. By the time it was all over, my ex had paid far, far more than what she thought she was going to pay. Does this show how amicable the divorce was? The first thing I am saying this place did wrong, was overcharge her, not me! When I was first contacted by this place, I was asked to upload a ton of financial information to a shared file site. I uploaded over 50 documents to the site the next day. About a month later I get a voicemail from them saying that they need these documents to proceed. The voicemail also said that they would like to be able to proceed without further litigation, which will be needed if I don't upload the documents. I called them and told them that the documents were uploaded a month ago. The lawyer checked and sure enough, the documents were there! Really? You didn't check first? You just left a message about taking me to court to get the documents you already have? Crazy! There was a lot of terrible communication like this while dealing with this firm. There was more than one occasion where they asked me for something they already had. There was one time that I received a call asking for something they said they asked for already. I checked all previous correspondence with them and had no record of them asking me for what they wanted. The communication was so bad that during one phone call I had finally had enough and told them that they need to get their act together and learn how to communicate with each other. I told them I was tired of them wasting my time. It was incredibly frustrating dealing with these people. My ex had the same issues with them. They are very unorganized and sloppy. I could go on and on, but this is already long enough. The one other thing I wanted to mention is how they shipped papers to me. They put no more that 20 pages of documents into boxes and shipped them. I will add pictures to this to show the boxes. They were crushed and reused boxes. Is this how you would expect a quality lawyer to ship documents? I couldn't believe it the first time it happened, then it happened again! I'm sure this place will post a response to this review, like they have with other negative reviews. There is nothing they can say to wash away the fact that they don't communicate with each other, are disorganized and not very well run. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a quality lawyer. Edit: As I knew would happen, this firm did post a reply. A pathetic one at that. I didn't ask you to address my review. I'm simply trying to alert others to your unorganized and unprofessional practices. If you cared for the environment, you wouldn't ship less than 20 pieces of paper in a box that could easily fit over a thousand pieces. I have zero plans to contact you to discuss anything.
