Getting the sink originally specified would have delayed our project 6-8 weeks. The incorrect tile color was still great, but required a change to the countertop stone selection. Moe walked me through the CGM slab yard and helped find a countertop slab which worked with the tile in the kitchen and bath and was also an option available for Cabinets to Go clients. I love it even more than my original choice! Moe also worked with the fabrication team and CGM management to find a solution which allowed us to use the sink we had on hand vs. having to re-order. This saved time and money. When white caulk was used in the bath vs. the clear used in the kitchen, the look wasn't what I wanted given the charcoal gray stone chosen. With CGM, I experienced zero pushback and no excuses getting that error corrected promptly and properly. Too bad this approach isn't more typical of those in the construction trades! How a business addresses problems says so much about their integrity and customer service. I'd definitely use CGM for future countertop installations. It was a good experience all around.

He even turned down some extra work, and said we could always get it done later if we really wanted to do it. If you check out his website, he doesn't just put up pictures of his work, he describes the specific jobs and what design parts he likes or didn't like about it. I reached out to a few contractors and picked Josh because of his professionalism and detailed paperwork of the project. He was not the most expensive nor the least expensive, however he walked through showing my husband and I some problem areas that needed addressing. In researching his thoughts, he was spot on and we are grateful he pointed out these problem areas. He stayed in constant contact with us and showed us what he did each day. If he had to stop at a home improvement store, he let us know he would be a few minutes late. For the most part, he was there between 730 and 800 and did not leave before 500. He knew what our budget was and did not go over it one penny. The deck and screened in porch came out amazing, better than what we expected. He made the screened part to look like windows on the outside with the trim of the wood. The lower part of the inside he did a pallet look, which he suggested after the project had started, and did not charge us for it. I was thrilled when I saw what he did to give it a "rustic" look at no cost to us, but time on is part. There is no doubt we would hire Josh again, in fact my husband already has discussed a couple of other projects with him as soon as Josh has time. This young man has talent and knowledge along with ideas that will fit anyone's budget. He is professional and respectful and you won't be disappointed.

I paid/invested 5900 dollars and they built the frame (they never returned to complete the job nor provide a refund)which failed inspection, caused 1500 dollars worth of damage, refused to provide my insurance company with the name of theirs to determine liability, provided an inaccurate address to the state for their LLC so if you attempt to take legal action they can't serve him. Unaware of building codes, used the wrong required blocks for footings and instead of replacing just flipped over the pyramid style blocks. The list goes on and on. Pictures available to demonstrate lack of quality of work. They promise the world and deliver nothing. BUYER BEWARE.

He subsequently deleted my comment so no one would see it. I am reposting here so others can see it and make their own decisions... My experience with Josh Hamilton and Hamilton Handy Helpers was not a good one. It took 11 weeks to finish my bathroom remodel. There were lots of mistakes made that had to be redone. Josh would send unqualified workers to do remodeling work..ie... he sent an unemployed electrician to do grout work on my marble tiles. He made a mess of it so much that all of the installed marble tiles had to be scrubbed clean to get all of the grout haze that was left behind. All of it was never completely removed. I am still cleaning tiles that have grout residue left on them. What made things worse was that the grout was applied BEFORE the marble tiles were even sealed. Which is a "no no". You have to seal stone tiles "Before" any grout is applied or you run the risk of permanently staining the stone. If they were professional experienced remodelers, they should have known that. There were also missing gaps in the seams where no grout was applied and had to be redone. Josh also sent a tile guy to do drywall work. The guy clearly didn't know what he was doing and it took 4 tries to get it right. Part of the problem was he didn't have the proper tools to do the job. He was using a painters multi tool to apply drywall mud instead of a dry wall spatula. These are just some of the issues. Others include incorrectly installed vanity mirror that almost pulled itself off the wall on the second day after it was installed. They mounted a 25lbs wood framed vanity mirror into dry wall using small plastic anchors. What they should have done was mount the install bracket to the studs in the wall so it can't pull itself off. Experienced remodelers would know this. The vanity light fixture was done the same way. I ended up fixing both of them myself after they left. They didn't even install the vent for my AC duct on the floor nor did they install the vent cap for my exhaust fan on the ceiling. The quality of work and the attention to detail was just not present during my remodel. Communication was sorely lacking as well. There were days that would go by where no one would show up to do work and I had no idea if anyone was coming. I have also come to find out that Josh Hamilton/Hamilton Handy Helpers does not have a contractor's license, which is contrary to what he advertises. After a thorough search of this website for the state of Virginia, https://www.dpor.virginia.gov/licenselookup . I can not find a contractor's license for Josh Hamilton nor Hamilton Handy Helpers as of this posting. And to my knowledge, he did not secure a building permit to do the work for my remodel which is required. I didn't think to ask. I just assumed. Big mistake. Knowing all of this now, I can not in good conscience recommend Josh Hamilton/Hamilton Handy Helpers. Buyer beware.
