We just had a carpet installed by David & Jeff of "On the Spot Floors" and are exceptionally pleased with the end result. From the time my wife and I met with Linda, the owner, we were impressed with the time and energy she took to make the right selection for us and to not oversell. In fact, she advised against a higher priced carpet. Jeff came out to do the measuring. Based on the finished product, it is obvious that both Jeff & David are highly skilled professionals and gentlemen and that Linda is an expert in her field. I highly recommend them. read more

On the Spot did an awesome job replacing my upstairs/stairs carpet. I was very impressed from the beginning to the end of the entire job. They were helpful and knowledgeable in helping guide me through the process of choosing the best carpet for our needs. Jeff, the technician on our job, was super to work with. So professional, friendly and was extremely conscientious about the job he performed in our home. We had freshly painted walls and there is not one mark on them anywhere from the install. Cleaned up after the install and with the exception of great looking carpet you never knew they were there. Great people to work with. I HIGHLY recommend them!!!!! I had an appointment to have on the spot clean the carpets one week before my new tenants were to move into my house in midlothian. I received a message the day before they were to come saying they had to cancel due to the weather and they would call back to reschedule. I never heard back! Bad form and I am glad I didn't sit by the phone waiting for the return call. read more

I have used On The Spot for the past 20+ years, for both cleaning and flooring installation. Most recently, they installed DuraCeramic tile in my kitchen. The process was simple and quick. I appreciated recommendations on the different installation options and their installer, Mike, was personable and professional. Established in 1991.

Started in 1991 as a small family owned business with one cleaning truck. We have expanded over the years into flooring sales and installation and water damage restoration services and we have a beautiful flooring showroom/office/warehouse building off of Route 60 just 4 miles from where 288 intersects it.

Meet the Business Owner: Linda B.

Have owned/operated On The Spot since 1991. Prior to that I was the Executive Director of Corporate Operations at Video World, a 25 store video chain. Prior to that, I worked at trade associations in Washington, D.C. and on Capitol Hill for a Virginia Congressman.

So this was no fault of ours.) Value: a total waste of [$hundreds]! The owner wanted to come out and do a "re-do" (of course the company knows they are completely taking advantage of home sellers, who will be gone by the time the paint starts to peel)! When I texted the owner to request [at least] a partial refund, he ignored me (no reply). If you need your grout cleaned, I suggest you NOT consider Grout Doctor.

Right now, it's tough trying to find a contractor to do work, much less good work. I was pleased and satisfied with the whole process. The owner came and made the estimate on the promised day at the promised time, they then gave me an honest price that fell in my range of estimates. I opted for new fixtures and tile resurfacing in the shower, as well. On the day the job was supposed to begin, they showed up in the morning and worked diligently for the next several days, completing the job in the timeframe they gave. Overall the experience was great. On top of that, the work was excellent. The shower looks brand new, my floor is modern and nice, and everything is symmetrical and color matched to provide a perfect aesthetic. Jeff and his team took the time and did it right. They kept in touch and never had a problem with keeping me in the loop. I'd recommend to anyone based on this experience and I'll use them with my next bathroom or tile remodel, for sure.

Two employees came to do the initial job and there were several areas that needed to be fixed. The owner came to do the repairs but ended up painting the shower floor the wrong color and not repairing areas specifically discussed. Another visit, new paint on the floor again, a couple more repairs... each time an area was repainted it left crackle marks and is very obvious. Within a week the newest layer of paint began to peel up... after yet another repaint (all this time I had expressed concern that the lower portions didn't seem to have been well covered and perhaps just a total re-do would be best) I gave up on trying to get satisfactory results. It also took repeated attempts to get the owner to contact me back every single time and even then he was clearly annoyed by me. None of these issues were caused by anything we did so I didn't understand why I was made to feel otherwise. Total waste of money... the floor doesn't come clean and you can see areas of the old blue color still and areas of exposed old grout. There were dings left in our freshly painted walls and areas can be seen on our brand new tile floor where something was dripped and ruined the glaze on the tile. Total waste of money- 100% unhappy.

From the time we logged on to the website we were impressed by the professionalism and user friendly website. It was easy to navigate and it helped us decide exactly what type of flooring we wanted to install. When we arrived at the showroom, we had already chosen from the website several products that we wanted to see. Linda greeted us warmly and helped us select just the right product. The next day Don came out to our home to measure our space and we received an estimate right away. We received an installation date and Quinton and Joe arrived on time on the installation day. They were meticulous in installing our floor. They were courteous and respectful. On the Spot treated us like family. Value and quality were excellent. Don and Linda were a pleasure to work with.
