Some dude vaping and smoking back-and-forth, not far away from us, no one seemed particularly concerned about that. It was early afternoon and I suppose that fewer fish should be expected, but it was definitely not an exceptional experience. Somebody said they were selling the place. But my opinion is that they should do a lot more to take care of the customers they still have, before that happens... If that happens... Nice enough crew, but I think they should continue to take care of the customers they still have regardless...

It's important to know a lot of the options with high rankings may not reflect the kind of lodging you desire so do your homework. We wanted cabin style lakeside housing that was simple yet provided options.... Appeldoorn's delivered. We rented cabin 1 which is 300 feet from the water. They have a sandy beach with two docks and water toys for kids including kayaks, paddle boats, a blob and in water slide. Throw in a sandy beach that is sifted daily you have a great place to enjoy this massive lakes beauty. The front desk is extremely helpful and they have a lot of convenience store items available for reasonable price. They also arrange fishing chartered and have rental equipment weather permitting. We also dined at the resort for breakfast and dinner and were impressed with the quality and originality of the food. The dining options are closed Monday and Tuesday so you will need to explore the local area. They have four varieties of housing and they all seem pretty awesome, we are definitely planning to return!

The current event coordinator, Mariah, knocks everything she does of of the ball park. I was here for another wedding, and I was in for a huge surprise. There were many improvements, too many to list! The new wedding area is perfectly located. A permanent Arbor is there for the couple to decorate as they wish, or not. The lakeside now has 2 docks, many aquatic amenities, and a great sandy beach. Even a lakeside bar! I could go on and on, but you need to see this place on Mille Lacs to really appreciate it. Awesome fire ring and Adriatic chairs. The cabins are very cozy with a clean modern updated interior and huge windows for viewing outdoors while inside the cabin. The property is beautiful and has lots of trail options onsite and near by. Came with a smores kit sticks for the fire and wood along with fire starters. The stars are unbelievable at night. Will be back. Family loved the location and easy access to cities and Duluth and nature all around.

My wife and I have been here since they opened, we were the first to sign on. Every campground we have been to require you to keep your dog on a leash. This is very family safe campground. We see kids riding bikes and playing all the time.

There's 15 family members that reside behind no trespassing signs on property. It was advertised as dog friendly which is a fib. Dogs must be on leash eternally. Plus there's 0 exercise area. Now that's real dog friendly. I tried to remedy that problem by offering to put in a fenced area for dogs for FREE, since if I was going to stay there for summer it was necessary for my 2 single year old high energy pups. At first this was fine by Jenny the girl who wears the pants and owns this setup But after driving to Belle plains, mn to get 100 ft of chain link fence off marketplace she changed her mind. I'm also out $120 for fence now on top of the $750. After a slightly heated discussion she gave me 24 hours to get out or cops get called I left within a few hours but never got a refund. She tells me to sue her! That's in the works. I'm 71 yrs old and live on SS exclusively so I desperately need that money but she could care less. She did offer to give me back a part of it but prorated it at weekly rate. A weekly rate was dramatically different than seasonal so I refused it. I also very kindly offered to leave no reviews anywhere if shed refund my money but she said I was attempting to extort her. Not at all, I was merely offering us both an easier way out of this nightmare. I never cost these folks one dime since my motorhome is entirely run on solar so no electricity was used and I never even deposited any trash there during my 1 week stay. She has been successful in getting my 2 previous reviews taken down from this platform so she must be regretting something. I'm only writing true facts that I lived through in this place. I've never in my entire life been treated like this and do not like it. Does this sound like the kind of place you want to stay?

There is park spans 344 acres, and has over a hundred campsites. The hiking trails wind through a hardwood forest and along the rocky shoreline of Mille Lacs Lake. The house warm. The ice roads were clear. They had a bathroom 500 feet from our sleeper house We love this resort so much we came back and rented a cabin. Their dock is big and goes like 40-50 feet into the lake and T's off. People have been catching walleye off the dock, there's small mouth bass off the dock and a guy seen a musky! The cabin itself is gorgeous. It has air conditioning. A full kitchen. Bathroom with a shower. Two full size beds. A couch. A table. The cabin is roomy. And has a nice porch you can sit on. It even has DISH tv in the cabin. Prices are reasonable. Pets are allowed. They have a grill at your cabin. And a nice fire pit. A beautiful garden right next to the cabin. They just redid their landing. Everything is in the cabin, including towels. You are right on the lake. All you need is beer, food and your fishing gear! We will be coming back every winter and summer.
