Tried a new, little "hidden gem" in the PNW! In a converted old church is this cafe you HAVE to try. They serve breakfast and lunch, outstanding friendly service and great prices for the big portions! I ordered the Eggs Benedict special. It came with hash browns that didn't look nor taste like they came frozen in a bag. They were thick cut, hot, crispy and tender and flavorful. The eggs were perfectly poached on top of country ham and English muffin and covered in a rich Hollandaise. I also got to try a slice of their thick cut bacon. YUM! The rest of our party really enjoyed their breakfast dishes as well. The French toast with blueberries looked sinful! They do have an espresso bar and make different flavors of frosty milkshakes. If that's not enough, you should see the selection of pies and pastries on hand! Again, service was top-notch; smiles, courtesies and super efficient. The only caveat (at this time) is they only take cash or checks - no credit card system (I'm assuming) yet. No matter, we plan to be regulars for sure! read more

I wasn't expecting much on my motorcycle ride through the very small town of Hunters. I was very happy to find Holy Grub just before leaving the north end of town. It was quiet on this Memorial Day. My riding partner and I grabbed a table in this very inviting restaurant. The breakfast and lunch menu was extensive, making it difficult to make a choice. I decided on an omelette and my buddy went with the BLT. The food portions were not skimpy, which is always appreciated on a long ride. Both meals were delicious. The food tasted like it came out of Mom's kitchen! They also offer a coffee bar with some fancy drinks (i'm a black drip coffee guy myself) and ice cream and other sweet items. You can't go wrong here and I will be making this a regular stop on my trips! read more

This place is now on my list of biggest regrets. Seriously. I came in and asked if I could place an order to go. The waitress said yes and went and "handed it to the cook." I am not an unreasonable person. I expect to wait for my food to come up in line. What I did not expect, was for three other groups to come in over the course of the 45 minutes I sat there, and all ORDER and get served their food while I sat there and no one said a word to me. The last 10 minutes, I considered asking them to just cancel the order, as I was starting to get really anxious, when I saw them finally throw our food on the grill. It took maybe 3 minutes for them to make it. A Rueben sandwich with Jo-Jo's and a cheeseburger with ketchup and mustard only with pasta salad. I finally received my food. The burger had everything on it except for ketchup and mustard. And it had 0 seasonings on it. Just a slab of beef. And the pasta salad was plain cooked noodles with no dressing. This cost me $40 and 45 minutes. While my poor husband sat in the Truck with our screaming toddler. I will give credit where it is due, my husband said the Rueben was the best he's had. So if you come here, expect to stay an hour and a half, and probably order the Rueben. read more

This restaurant is a dream for our little, rural town in NE WA. Not only have they created jobs for locals, they offer delicious food that is hard to find in rural areas. Definitely destination for a great meal and friendly people! read more

We have been wanting to try this restaurant out for some time. We finally made it on a Sunday morning for a breakfast before the local churches got out. This place is amazing, their cook is from another of our favorite places to eat, and breakfast was outstanding. In addition to our regular order we were provided a sample of their home made berry jam. Delicious. Its is small, and you should have patience when ordering if they are busy, but the experience is well worth it. read more

My Dad & I stopped by on our Sunday drive for an ice cream. We were very pleased to find they had classic banana splits on the menu! They're made with very yummy soft serve ice cream and tasted better than I remember! The ambiance was great and the staff were very friendly. We'll be back! read more

The cafe is perfectly located for the return drive from Red Mountain, British Columbia to anywhere south of the border. Two hours into a drive home to Seattle, I stopped for a sandwich for the road. Quickly delivered and expertly prepared, I enjoyed a delicious BLT w/egg sandwich on sour dough bread that allowed me to keep my driving schedule in order. The bread and farm style bacon made the sandwich. Friendly service, a very clean restroom, reasonable prices, and an attractive dining room all rounded up for a great experience. read more

Husband surprised us by bringing home two dinners from here for us to try. One was a prime rib with a loaded baked potato and a salad, the other was a shrimp pasta with a salad. They were both delicious. Shrimp is easily over cooked and rubbery and prime rib can be chewy and lack flavor when not done right. BUT... Not at Holy Grub!! Both were cooked to perfection. We live probably 15 minutes from there and the food still tasted delicious even after sitting in a box. That is impressive. Im hoping they can keep the prices affordable, but with everything going up right now, it's understandable. So glad for a nice place to eat when going to beach at hunters campground. Hubby had omelet that they didn't overcook with hashbrowns and nice fruit. I had a sandwich which was good. Another customer said Reuben's were excellent so I will try next time. Friendly staff. read more

doesn't look like much when you walked past But I was practically dying of hunger So I popped in. the definition of a hole in the wall. I got a regular hamburger and wow... There are no words. a classic burger done right. Crisp bun, Juicy Patty, stuffed with all the essentials( ketchup, mustard, shredded lettuce ,tomato, and pickles There's about a million options available between the menu board and a wall full of specials, But it can get overwhelming, But you can't really go wrong.
