This place is the heart of the western Spokane Valley. Way back in ye olden days, pubs used to be a place community would gather to catch up, feel connected, and make new connections with other immediate community members. The Garden is swiftly becoming the new pub (caffeine a gleeful swap for alcohol in this case) here in the southwestern Valley. My husband and I indulge in fresh coffee and tea drink flavors, healthy and filling breakfasts, and yummy desserts-- and every single time I see people I know and love just "bumping into" more regularly. The sweethearted staff always puts up with my need for extra help in ordering (I have a sugar allergy, which can make getting to try a seasonal drink tricky-- but they do their best to make it work for me!). The business supports an incredible cause, which also serves to strengthen and help our immediate community. I got the breakfast burrito with chorizo and it had good flavor. I was disappointed by how small it was, especially when the lady next to me got one too and it was way bigger than. I stopped by here to grab a chorizo burrito which I read about in another review and the food did not disappoint! The burrito was cooked perfectly and had just the right amount of flavor and cheese! Absolutely delicious. Service was friendly and efficient and my food was ready within 5 minutes. I also got a lavender tea since I had already had coffee and didn't want to over caffeinate! The food was delicious and very well prepared. However, their pricing differed between the menu and what was charged at the register. When the discrepancy was pointed out, their reply was that the menu had not been updated although prices had gone up. This is the definition of "bait and switch". The garden club was pretty good, had some spice to it. The fruit side was a little small but the grapes were really good. My London fog was also yummy. My friend has a gluten allergy and the lady working there made sure that his food wasn't contaminated. Staff was very sweet and patient while I browsed the menu. I have tried this place numerous times since the owner took over from Cool Beans and every time my coffee is not very good. From a plain americano to a latte. The coffee roast they use is just not very good in my opinion. The location is wonderful and the staff is nice. In short I live within walking distance it would rather drive somewhere else every time. read more

Being a north-sider we rarely visit Valley locations. This visit was worth the trip. Friendly staff and a nice comfy vibe inside. There are a couple 2 up tables just outside the doors and a smattering of tables and comfy seats inside. The menu is a bit more robust than what you might expect having both bakery items and hot made to order food. Drinks range from coffee, kombucha, tea, a variety of energy drinks. They use high quality Indaba Coffee here, which is a nice bonus. The breakfast Sammie and Chorizo Burrito were both tasty and filling. A really nice experience. read more

Our first time here, we are left with a super good impression of the place. Great place for unique and quality food and coffee. My husband commented that his "super avocado toast" was probably the best he's had. I got the seasonal "hello fall" toast and oh maaan it was delicious. Husband got a mocha and although that may sound like a plain choice, I honestly feel like that was one of the best mochas I've tried in a while! I got the sunny bee latte iced and it was refreshing and tasty! This was a great cafe to bring our 1 year old (today is his birthday!) they had a play corner for little ones and they had booster seats for him as well. Very impressed by the atmosphere, quality, and friendly service. They had what looked like a little gift shop and teas to purchase which we'll check out more next time because we are definitely coming back!! Excited to have found this place. One of my favorite places to get good fresh avocado toast. Only gave four stars because of the weights in the drive-through every morning. It can be only one car in front of you and you can still end up waiting 10 to 15 minutes. Will have to start going to a different coffee stand because I don't have that kind of time in the morning. What an amazing little place! I love all the unique drink options (the one with the bee pollen and honey was so good!) and that they have products and treats from local folks. Came by as part of a Yelp Event for May/June. I have passed location many times, not realizing The Garden was there!! It is located in a small strip mall with generous parking. The interior is simply decorated in a homey and inviting style. There is high and low seating, a couch and comfy chairs. I ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito and a mocha latte. The burrito was perfectly concocted, without being overloaded with fillers like rice or beans. The mix of chorizo, cheese and spices was very tasty, with sour cream and salsa on the side. The latte was perfect. The counter staff were cheerful and solicitous!! As I dined, I was surrounded by chatty/happy customers. I was very glad I came. You should too!! read more

Super experience at this little cafe. I went with my husband and two kids. We had both versions of the avocado toast (I loved my deluxe) and I had one of the best espresso drinks of my life. Pistachio and rose latte, iced! The staff was really friendly and patient. They explained everything in the bakery case since there weren't labels on them. I'd really love to come back and try a slice of the huckleberry loaf. Everybody was really happy with their food. I appreciate the reusable water glasses and clean restroom. We have the avocado toast regularly and love it! We ate in for the first time today and had the burrito. The salsa was so good! The inside was pretty nice. The service was just kinda blah. Nobody made much of an attempt to be overly friendly but it was fine. Didn't love the Red Bull Italian soda. I've had much better ones other places. We ordered two different ones and neither was that great but the food made up for it. Will go again for the food for sure. read more

It was close to closing time, but the cheery miss at the drive thru was happy to oblige and made a smoothie to my request. It was delicious, and the service was top notch! Absolutely my FAVORITE coffee shop in Spokane! Their coffee & tea assortment is to die for, and I cannot wait to try more. I found this place through grubhub and decided to order my boss and I some coffee. I got the oatmeal iced coffee and it is delicious! I am a coffee snob and the coffee had a very smooth flavor and didn't taste cheap like a lot of the small coffee shops I've tried. I ordered a iced hazelnut latte for my boss and she enjoyed it, I tried it and it tasted weird to me, maybe they put too much hazelnut in it??? I also ordered a cake pop, which came from Lilac City Bakery and it was God awful! Seriously tasted like chapstick! I ordered one of my coworkers the "keto treat" (not sure if that is made in house or by another company) and it didn't look very appetizing but my coworker was excited about it, it looked almost like a no bake granola bar. I love supporting small businesses and love that this business does the same! I am eager to try out other menu items, including the sandwiches.
