First time eating here and The food here is so delicious! I ordered the John piper sandwich with no mustard. It was nicely prepared and it came with a side of ur choice. The cashier had patience with us ,the service there was just amazing. 10/10 would recommend. I basically vacuumed my sandwich but here's a pic of the drinks me and my bf got and a cookie

Came in looking for fresh good food and this place did not disappoint. Staff was so sweet and the place itself is a book store too. Absolutely adorable and quaint. We had the Cobb salad and it was delicious. The only disappointment was they are closed on Sundays so we couldn't go back a second time before we left town. read more

Went in for breakfast while visiting from out of town, front desk lady did not treat us as she did others that came in after us and tried to skip over my friend who had been patiently waiting in front of the casher area. probably wouldn't be writing a review except they told me they didn't have something, then they had it when the person behind me ordered. just trying to support local businesses while traveling, we may not look like your other customers but we are still here to spend money! read more

The Bookery used to be my go-to lunch spot but since it was sold the quality has dropped in inverse proportion to prices. The sandwiches and salads are still pretty good, but aside from two baristas, the employees always seem a little confused. Honestly, this would probably be a three star review if it hadn't been 10x better a few years ago. read more

I try to visit the Bookery at least once a week, why you ask? Its a great place to meet friends or family for a delicious coffee or even to splurge and have a good bagel or sandwich. The atmosphere is one of a eclectic rustic bookshop and warm and cozy coffee shop. The one thing I would like to see is maybe a few more comfortable chairs and also internet access. read more

Good food and coffee at decent prices. Make sure you have your condiments before you leave (like salad dressing) and your order is correct (removal of allergens) otherwise you will have to go back. There is no compensation for this loss of time, (i.e. a free plain coffee or a cookie) so just make sure you have everything you need. Happened several times to me under recent ownership. A great place to buy last minute gifts for women. Not anything for men anymore unless they want a coffee card. read more

This is probably the best espresso in Ephrata. The food is a little pricey pretty good. They are slow and we had to wait while the person taking orders was having a chat with one of the other customers with about 10 people in the line behind us. The order line is a pain because you block people that are trying to walk by. read more

Use to be better. The coffee is still great. However the food has gotten more expensive and less quality (i.e.: The salads have shrunk and the sandwiches don't have the fillings they use to (one with avocado has a bite instead of a spread of it) I might try it again in the future to see if they have improved read more

I love The Bookery!! Atmosphere is adorable. Local wares as well as a great collection of books for purchase. My 7 year old loves coming here and having lunch in the little kids area. Best coffee in town, hands down (I've tried a lot of the espresso stands in town and nobody comes close... call me a coffee snob if you will, I was born and raised in Seattle and I hate starbucks.) Great, tasty sandwiches and really friendly staff. I almost want to work here I love it so much! read more

Besides delicious coffee, The Bookery makes the best sandwiches not just in town, but in our area. When you order the sandwiches to go, each half is carefully wrapped, plastic ware is tied in a napkin with a bow and all packaging is recyclable. Much love and care! Yum! read more

Their chai tea is the best in Ephrata. Sandwiches are delicious and so are the soups. On Friday's they have a 1/2 sandwich and soup combo for $6. The store is clean and interesting, and the staff is friendly. read more

I have been a customer at The Bookery before they even had coffee, I love this place so much I can't even believe it! Coffee is awesome, the people have always been wonderful and I honestly didn't think it could get much better until they had.... Sandwiches! If you are looking for a sandwich in Ephrata, this is the place. My favorite is the Poe. Soooo Delicious. It has pepperoni, ham, pesto, cream cheese, and swiss cheese. Oh. My. God. Get it toasted on a croissant (they have other types of bread too, but i think that the croissant is the best) So amazing! So what are you waiting for? Go there people! ;) It's a great place for lunch and a coffee with friends and family! read more

Coffee frappe & Plato wrap, chicken, feta, olives. Pasta salad. Bad timing. End of long line. The food seemed to come out pretty quickly considering. The coffee not as much. Cute decor, very quaint with some nick-nacks for sale. There must have been 6-10 people in front of us, but we stuck it out because we weren't in a hurry. We got our food to go. The wrap was REALLY GOOD! The whole menu looked good though. I'd say the pasta salad needs some spices it was pretty bland and the pasta was a bit too al debate for my likes. read more

Very good! I know when I eat their I am eating more healthy food. Their bread tastes like they make it them selves. Don't know if they do, but sure is good. They have a good choice of menu items to choose from. It's a nice atmosphere. A little loud, but I have only been there during lunch time. I don't know what it's like any other time of the day. I would recommend trying it out. read more

Excellent salads, sandwiches, soups, coffee, and goodies. The staff here is excellent, they are all smiles always have never had a grumpy server and they are attentive and remember my drink. The atmosphere is comfortable, relaxing, and they don't give you the evil eye if you settle in with a group of friends for a couple of hours of casual conversation with your coffee and eats!!! Just all around EXCELLENCE and my go to spot on a leisurely day with the ladies! read more

And wander I did in Churchill's, through shelf after shelf of fiction, non fiction, vintage titles. Love, love, love The Bookery! The atmosphere is welcoming, they have some lovely small gifts/home decor and I can't forget about the books & the cute kid's table either. I live out of town, but came across it last year while I was serving jury duty in Ephrata...I ended up eating there 7 of the 8 days I was in town! Love to go to the Bookery at least once a week. They have great sandwiches, salads and ice cream. The food always fills me and sometimes I have to take some home. Great little gifts to in case you need a last minute something for someone. The menu is reasonably priced. The staff is always friendly and very helpful.
