No note or anything. I look online and it doesn't say closed. I call and left a message on the voice mail. How disrespectful. We drive a few hours away for this golf trip and I receive no call back, no email, nothing about them being closed. What a joke. I'll never golf here again, or attempt to golf here. We did call around and found a course to fit us in. We were party of 6. So disappointed. Oh well. I hope people see this review and avoid this place.

Healthy greens, long and straight par 4s and 5s, with very few sand traps with a few water hazards. I went during summer hours on a week day around 11:30 and I was able to take my time the whole day. Most holes are fairly straight, but you may lose a few balls in the brush (2-3 ft. high) if you slice or hook a few yards off. Par 3s are fun, but short. Although very fun, an average golfer could probably use a 7 or 8 iron to get close. Woes: no cart service, score cards weren't in the carts (picked up myself), and the carts run on gas (go cartish)!?? Definitely a must try when in town!

She told us a few tips, tricks, and shortcuts to maximize our time on the course. The bar was quant, had an informal dining room, small pro shop, and museum upstairs. Drinks were reasonable (about $5 each for 2 cans), and we sat outside to enjoy our post-round beverages. There was no food there, but if we brought our receipt to the Allegheny Grill (minutes away in downtown Foxburg), I believe you got 10% off your check. The course itself was very well maintained, not perfect, but honestly that's part of the charm. It's so cool knowing that we're playing on one of the longest-running golf courses in the US. The greens were close to the tees (and houses!), so precision is key. This is a 9 hole course, but you can play again to make it 18 with some variation to the tee. Golf carts were in great shape, too. I HIGHLY recommend playing and making the trip here!! You can tell how much they appreciate your business and I can't wait to come back to play again!
