My toddler was doing really well, but we'd been on the road for an almost 3 hour stretch so when she started asking for a playground it was definitely time to make a stop. This park was probably about 10 minutes off the interstate, but it is a great one and definitely worth the stop. There's so much to do here. And it's either a very new park or been fairly recently renovated. There were two baseball fields here (at least), a splash pad that I successfully averted the kid's gaze from, and an accessible playground. One of the slides was cracked but other than that my babe had a lot of fun for the ~30 minutes we were here. There were a couple older girls there who took my little one under their wing, playing hide and seek with her and showing her some of the playground equipment. There are several benches around the perimeter of the playground as well. I hope DuBois is proud of this wonderful park!

Mystery Mayhem Escapes was a mystery indeed because I had no idea this establishment existed. I enjoyed the facility, and the owner was a pleasant resource for axe throwing tips. Previously, I did most of my axe throwing in my enchanted forest. After one too many yeets, several maple trees ganged up and tortured me in my sleep -- leaving me behind as they ran away to find new ground. I would return, but one of the trees fell on my Nissan Leaf rental car.

All of us had a blast solving puzzles and competing to see which group would solve their room first. The puzzles are challenging and really engage everyone's unique abilities. We also had some time to test our axe throwing skills. Our group loved this too. I think that this is a great place for all types of groups. Hopefully we get to return for some more fun.

This was super fun and a great activity for both kids (12 and up) and adults ( my husband and I are…read moreboth in our 30s and we had a blast). I'm scared of heights and the beginning was very very scary and I couldn't stop shaking but I powered through and by the end I was cruising. It feels good to face your fears! They give you the run down in the beginning and then you practice before going up to the actual courses. There is a center spot where each course starts and at that spot they have benches where you can set down any water bottles or sunglasses etc. There were plenty of workers around which makes you feel safe but it wasn't what I expected (I expected someone to be waiting at each platform). They are available down below and I'm sure they could get up there quickly in an emergency but you pretty much go at your own pace and do your own thing hooking yourself up to the cords. There are safety measures in place such as the locking carrabeaners that never allow you to be unhooked because there are two and one is locked at all times. They have a bunch of courses that are labeled by color according to how difficult it is. If you are even remotely scared of heights then I highly recommend starting with a yellow and working your way up. We started with green and I was super terrified. We did the three hour pass and did four courses (going extremely slow in the beginning). It was awesome to be immersed in nature like that too. We can't wait to come back!!

An hour and a half to two hours is much more reasonable, affordable and fair. In addition the sound is way too low for people who have hearing deficiencies. I know the idea is to be mysterious, but the sound negatively affected our fun. And the greeter was too soft spoken also, barely audible. When you're excited to play you don't want to miss a beat. I hope someone from the org makes changes.

No dogs I needed to…read moredrive a dog from Indianapolis to Pennsylvania to get her to her home. The dog owner was coming from Connecticut. (That's a story of its own). Anyway, I found a middle ground of Walter Duck Memorial Park that was listed as a dog friendly park by many online resources. (It isn't dog friendly - No Dogs Allowed). It's a tucked away down some roads. After the dog drop off was complete, my son and I explored a bit. It was a nice little oasis. It was cold and I imagine more enjoyable during the warmer months.
