Last I was here, browsers could use terminals (they're probably using eMacs now) to perform searches. After you find what you want, just do the footwork to actually get your books. There's a good selection of fantasy and science fiction novels to borrow and you can even buy their overflow books in the front for cheap. The library is open Monday through Saturday, and have book discussion groups periodically. Recommended if you want to get your reading on!

Looked like a wrap dress.My hair was dry and I had makeup on. There were no other patrons in the library; I knew what books I wanted. The younger librarian asked if I had any clothing to put on. When I replied,'no,' she told me I wasn't allowed to come in. I have been to several establishments wrapped in my towel. No one has ever stopped me or denied me entry. This woman must think the library is only for special patrons, not regular community members. I wonder how many students she's denied entry due to what she deemed they needed. There was no dress or other codes in sight. Maybe this 'fancy' library should post, at the entrance, what's allowed to be able to use a facility that our taxes pay for. Oh, one more thing...there are no. Handicapped Parking spaces at this library. When asked, they responded there wasn't too much room, it would have meant ripping up what they had, and there didn't seem to be a need. As a local person of 39 years,I will never again even think of using Hatboro Library for anything. An embarrassment.

Even though I was impressed with how beautiful the old building was and how well stocked the shelves were with books, that was not why I was there. Me and my husband had made an appointment to get our passports processed. I made a appointment a few weeks ago (online) for 5pm. We were there a few minutes early, so the young lady at the desk told us to have a seat. Sure enough at 5pm exactly another young lady comes out (forgot to get her name) and goes over all our paperwork. She was very precise, making sure every line was filled out correctly. I didn't need my birth certificate, because I had a old passport (that had expired), but my husband needed his, since it was his first time getting one. The cost is $130 per person for the passport. An additional $35 per person to the Jenkintown Library for their processing fee. They only take personal checks or money orders. That's right!, no cash or credit cards. You also need to have your picture taken (before you get there) at a place that takes passport photos. I had mine taken at Staples for $14.99. All in all the appointment went pretty smooth after filling out the paperwork. They made us feel welcome and I would highly recommend the Jenkintown Library for your passport needs.

They always have books for sale when you come in on your right and once every few months have their larger book fair. In addition to books and over five thousand DVD's in stock they have partition work offices you can work in. I want to say approximately five with a sliding door to make it a little more private as well. I have been to the Horsham Library and the Abington Library in the past month and my preference at this time I would have to say is the Horsham Library. As always people SYOY!!!

They're not replacing them with new books. They are apparently using the space to "feature" a book by standing it up face-out. Is this a store or a library? The science fiction/fantasy and mystery sections have been cut down by at least half (not even taking into account the fact of the remaining shelves being half empty.) It's so sad. Librarians used to be people who loved books.

This library also has certain nights where you can sign your child up for activities like science labs on reading times! This library seriously needs to be updated. It still looks the same since at least the 80s. With budget cuts, the library is closed a lot at night and weekends. Sad. The best thing about E.P. library is there monthly book sale. People donate so often, that there are always new things to look at. Plus, it's like Black Friday. People line up in the cold and run to grab as many books as possible. Watch out for the creeps who have the scanners to check for resale value. Not cool to block aisles or build stacks of books 20 deep. Some of us actually like to read them.

For being such a large library with an entire floor dedicated to children's books, they had a lot of outdated, ripped up, toddler books on their shelves. Not to mention how unorganized their books were. The lady working at the front desk of the children's section was rude and unhelpful when I asked for help finding the boardbooks. And I ended up walking down every aisle to find boardbooks lodged in between paperback books here and there.
