The rep was awesome to work with and very helpful to the process. However, on the back end the process is terrible. Their web site is awful and apparently cannot be trusted to show the correct balances. Often out of date for weeks. It's also difficult and slow to get transfers into the bank to payoff balances, and there is no other way to pay balances. The website is completely dated and unintuitive to the point I can't believe it's accidental. I paid off all the balance on my account and monitored it for over a month. 60 days later I get an email with a collection notice. A significant interest charge appeared on my account close to 60 days after the payoff. Apparently, this showed on a statement 30 days after the payoff... that is not mailed or emailed to the account holder (is this legal?). You have to go out and download these. Even when they show weeks after they hit you with the interest. I would advise anyone to avoid dealing with this bank as they are incredibly difficult to work with once you get the account opened. Hard to get balance information. No ability to get balance notifications. Difficult to pay balances other than with a very cumbersome and slow transfer process. They can't be this difficult to work with by accident. No other financial entity is remotely close to this difficult to work with.

I recently used them for a car loan, even though I found a rate that was a tiny bit lower - I feel their customer service is worth it. (On a side-note, a lot of the negative reviews I read were because people aren't very good at managing their own money, so they blame the CU...geesh. Don't spend money you don't have, and you won't have to pay overdraft/courtesy fees - which you are made aware of from the very beginning!
