I recently attended a training series at the MCC culinary institute building as well. The parking was very straightforward and easy to get to, in multiple areas. There are stairs and ramps so easy to get around no matter your needs. Inside the culinary institute, the building was nice and kept up very well. They have flyers for events, and I know they have a restaurant there too. We had our food provided by the students and staff at the culinary institute and wow, it was great! We had blueberry muffins and fruit for snack and a taco bar with homemade tortillas, salsa verde, and pickled onions to name a few of the things I really enjoyed. There was also a cinnamon cheesecake for dessert. The staff was very quick to put the food out and collect dishes, it was a great experience.

There were 5 trucks along with several other vendors inside the main building. The facility and bathrooms were well-maintained. The campus was also impressive for what they offer. The parking lot was plentiful, however some patrons were lousy with parking their vehicles within the lines. This is usually a yearly event and the place was sold out of tickets which did not surprise me. Overall, a nice event at a wonderful facility that offers great opportunities for the community of North Omaha.

Since switching to Primrose she has had a total change in her attitude- she is much happier during the week, often talks about her activities at daycare, and no longer gets upset when it's time to go to daycare. The teachers all seem kind and well trained, and consistently use age appropriate language and positive reinforcement (that was a major issue at her previous daycare- I often heard raised voices and negative tones when I was coming in for pick up). There's a mixture of guided activities and self directed play, and all the kids seem engaged. They have an on-site kitchen and my daughter, who is normally a picky eater, enjoys all of the food. The hours are great and the prices are very reasonable for the area. We feel good about the care and education our daughter gets here which is such a relief as a parent. Overall I would definitely recommend this daycare!

Everything about this was deceptively convenient. Select my son's class and then pay online. Easy. But everything after was a complete mess. I got emails changing dates and times which the instructors - in classroom and driving - contradicted. I picked the times for a reason -to work with our schedule and instead had to rearrange my entire week around the nonsense the Safety Council put us through. My son came out of class the first day with a written note explaining more changes to the schedule and then the driving instructor gave him a no-show for missing a driving session we were told was moved. He even went on to pretty much call us liars since he "emailed" us about the schedule. He did not, we checked through every email, text, and hand written note we'd got from the people at this site. Then, after we finally get done (and we were so happy to just be done dealing with this company), come to find out they never sent the information to the DMV so I had to call them while at the counter to get them to push the send button they should have done months ago. The two ladies at the school who had to endure my barrage of phone calls (because I called close to a dozen times over 30 minutes) should get a raise, everyone else, not so much. The woman at the DMV was nice enough to let me keep trying to get a hold of them even after the DMV office closed. She tried to be neutral about the whole thing but apparently this is a common problem with this driving school. As we left, and she probably thought we were out of earshot, I heard her tell her coworker that she had yet to meet anyone who liked the National Safety Council's driving program. So nice, even the employees at the DMV know they're cr@p. I cannot believe I actually paid these people for the level of incompetence I got. Bonus: The woman at the DMV told us a story of how one mom had come in only to go through the same issue we were going through. Couldn't get through to apparently the 1(one) person who can send the info to the DMV (so apparently the person who is the root cause of the immediate problem since if they did their job the DMV wouldn't be aware of them) and instead had their child take the test to get their drivers license. The employee was trying to make it into a funny story but all I could think was the woman paid $300+ for her child to go to this school. I hope she got a refund.

This is the place to go to get rid of those pesky traffic violation tickets, oddly enough located…read morenear one of the most dangerous and hard to navigate intersections in the city (I'm looking at you, 120th and L). So I was taking care of a little speeding ticket I received last month. I rolled up here for a 6-10 p.m. class on a Monday night -- just my luck it was during the NCAA men's basketball championship game. Ah well. None of us were here for the sheer fun of it. The class from the National Safety Council was mind-numbingly long and dull, but even so that's exactly what I expected. As I sat there doodling in a workbook more fit for first graders than a roomful of adults with driving issues, I couldn't help think about how much I hate driving in general. It's dangerous and costly. From insurance, to maintenance, to all the time I've wasted in my life sitting in traffic -- made all the worse thanks to the terrible drivers who eventually end up in this class (myself excluded, of course; I'm a great driver who was just caught "going with the flow of traffic"). Give me adequate bike lanes and a public transportation system that can actually get me to places I want to go and I'll stop gunning it down the road in my 4-banger Subaru. I feel as though my questions and concerns are answered in a timely manner & teachers are very receptive to feedback. There is an app that we are able to be notified about class activities, food/drink & nap schedules that teachers post in, they are also great about posting photo updates of my child. I value the thoughtfulness and care that is provided to my child, all teachers are eager to give an update and tell stories of how my son is doing. I can tell they care for him like family.
