Thank goodness for the community of amazing neighbors and staff. Roy, John, and Jeanie, were sent from above and helped us get through the tough transition of going from a brick and stick home to a RV. We couldn't have done it without them. There are a lot of amazing things I could say about this place, but what I would say most is that, you could call it home and be proud to do so. We are forever grateful for our stay there.

Way more activities and more frequent activities. This is basically a property managed RV park with about 150 or so long term families. At one point, a woman with a couple of children came and sat down at one of the tables by the lazy river. I don't know what was said, but the mother slapped the girl on the cheek. The other girl said that man (referring to my husband) saw you do that. The girls and the woman stayed for a while and then went off to look for someone. They came back and spent a little time at the lazy river. The mother sat on the steps to the lazy river and vaped. Clear signs are posted that say no smoking or vaping. Eventually, they left, leaving a messy table area full of trash from all the food and drinks. A breeze blew a couple chip bags into the lazy river. Not what I enjoy finding while I'm trying to relax. It's not only children who can be disruptive and irresponsible. In this case, it was the adult. While lifeguarding does not have to be part of the lazy river experience; management needs to monitor and stroll through these areas at least every half an hour. And shortly after this event, another event occurred. A very loud group of people came through the gate. A very drunk mother holding a glass Smirnoff vodka drink bottle was trying to climb on a husband or boyfriend's back because she was so drunk she couldn't walk. Several children were with them, and several other adults followed. They were making their way to one of the poolside tables of the lazy river. All of a sudden, there was a loud crash and the cooler that one gentleman was carrying fell to the ground, and the lid opened up. Glass bottles of beer and vodka drinks along with ice spilled out and broke all over the deck of the lazy river. Broken brown and white glass bottles were near the edge of the lazy river. Someone slipped on the mess and there was blood. They were rapidly trying to clean it all up while they laughed and giggled. Anytime there are clear glass shards, it's very possible that some may have landed in the water. It is impossible to say that no shards are in the water. We made a phone call to try to report the incident to the Jellystone head office. No one answered the phone so we left a message. As we left, we waved down a RV resort worker who went into action immediately. We went to the other pool to get away from the situation. We knew that going into the lazy river with a possibility of glass shards was not something we wanted to experience. We hoped that the RV park would close the lazy river immediately. Most recommendations say that the pool or water area needs to be drained and vacuumed and cleaned. Then it can be refilled with water and reopen to the public for use. Anyone with questions can call Jellystone and ask if that preventative measure was accomplished. I'm not sure that the lazy river was ever shut down. We drove by a couple hours later and there were still people in the exact same area where the ice chest had been dropped. It makes my stomach turn to think that the same scenario could've happened anytime in the past. I don't know what we were floating in. I'm hoping it was a safe, lazy river. ?? So again, I say, management needs to stroll and observe all of these pool areas at least every 15 minutes to every 30 minutes. Again, the adults were at fault. The children were not being managed or watched in anyway. The rules of the pool and the RV park were being broken. Anyone with questions should call Jellystone RV Park and ask if the lazy river is safe to use. By the way, the obnoxious family was removed from the lazy river, I guess. They ended up at the other regular swimming pool. We called the RV main office again to report that they were drinking out of glass bottles at that pool. I don't know what happened to them. Evidently they weren't escorted off the premises after the fiasco at the lazy river.

Dumpsters constantly overflowing and not emptied on a regular basis. Grass is cut when it gets knee-high. Lots of rules, but only certain people are required to follow the rules. Some examples of this are no window unit AC's are allowed in your RV (numerous RV's have them) you can have a storage shed, but it must be wood only (there were lots of residents with plastic & metal sheds. Save yourself the heartache and misery and just go down the road. There are tons of other RV parks that are clean and not so TRASHY!!!

I'm a traveling healthcare worker, which is why I'm leaving, but when I am back in the area, Rising Spirit will be first on the list! They have mailboxes, 4 washers and 4 dryers. A shower and toilet, Soda machine, ice and water machine, grassy areas, a dog park. The grounds are nicely kept. Everyone living here, that I have interacted with, has been very friendly.

I give it three stars because there are no bathrooms in the park. I like to in a real toilet. Also no showers. It's a huge difference for me when picking the parks we stay at however it was nice and clean and easy to get in and out of. The people were nice on the phone and we arrived late in the night and they let us come hook up anyways. I appreciate that.
