Horrible customer service, the workmanship has gone downhill and they must make their cabinetry out of gold, with the price increases. Absolutely ridiculous. Absolutely horrible experience. The quality of the wood and stain should never have left the factory, let alone been installed. They have been back three times trying to "fix" the stain that is splotchy, dark in places, orange in places and yellow in others. Everywhere they've sanded and re-applied finish has turned an off shade of yellow. Cabinets look terrible and worse than a high school woodshop project. read more

During the final walkthrough of a new home in North Spokane, it was noted that the cabinetry installed throughout the house had uneven handles and incorrect panel alignments. This was very frustrating as being in the professional service industry, quality assurance and continued inspections are paramount to the closure of any project. Bringing this to the attention of our builder, they forwarded my contact information to Dan Anderson, Field Service Manager, who quickly reached out to me and came the next day to conduct a thorough inspection. After going throughout the house in detail, Dan assured me someone from his team would contact me shortly and send one of their 'top technicians to fix everything above and beyond.' Playing the part of the pessimist, I would wait and see to see what materialized as you could imagined I was pretty irate over the product at its current state. Two days later, Kevin (I did not catch his last name) came to the property at precisely the agreed upon time and got straight to work. Kevin went through every single inch of cabinetry with a hawk's eye precision and caught every single mistake, even some I could not even tell what was incorrect prior. For eight hours, Kevin grinded out everything to perfection. During the repair work he was an absolute professional, very easy to talk to, and even explained the errors from prior installation and how he was correcting everything. Kevin is an absolute rockstar and is top tier at his craft; it really showed. Once completed, the entire cabinetry now looks completely different and is the show piece of the home. Huntwood Cabinets already make a superior product. There is no direct competitor in terms of quality in the Inland Northwest. However, meticulous installation is another half of the delivery and key to the final product. So biggest thank you and recognition to George Dunbar, Dan Anderson, Pam, and Kevin (field technician) for quickly correcting everything and going above and beyond. That type of coordinated customer service is something so many companies lack these days so to see it firsthand is amazing. They truly won a customer for life. read more

Bought the cabinets a few years ago partially because of the lifetime warranty. Recently I had a door face crack. Called Huntwood and they would not replace the door. Worthless warranty since they feel they have an out if they feel the humidity and temperature cause the damage. Basically Huntwood's warranty is garbage. Now I tell everyone looking for cabinets to stay away from Huntwood. When I call Huntwood, they would not replace the defective door and indicated they would send me a repair kit to patch a crack on the door face. Huntwood never sent me any repair items. I waited over a month waiting for the repair products before giving them a review to see if they would provide what they indicated. Also, to clarify, the door crack was from shrinkage due to inadequately dried wood materials. After some time in my climate the wood finally dried and shrank causing the crack. So this is clearly due to poor quality wood materials. Additionally, I had to reorder several boxes and door faces during the construction phase due to poor quality. I gave them a pass because they did eventually get everything done over a couple of months. I paid thousands more than other brands expecting higher quality and real warranty. We had / are having a terrible experience with Huntwood. first of all, the finished product they install is nothing like their showroom. They advertise themselves as a custom cabinet maker, but the reality is they are semi-custom at best. their sub-contractor installer did a terrible job and it took over a month to get basic things like everything being straight and level so we could get our countertops installed. The sales rep / designer, Tony Little, we worked with misled to us about several elements of what we would be getting. He has refused to take responsibility for the issues he created and flat our told us no when we asked to talk to his supervisor. we've tried calling their customer support, but everything gets routed back to the original sales person. we paid over 25,000 for custom cabinets and what we've ended up with is on par with the IKEA cabinets that we put in our rentals only Huntwoods cabinets cost double what we normally pay and our IKEA installers do a better job. we are devastated at the lack of quality and customer service from Huntwood. They required payment in full before the cabinets were even delivered and now are basically ignoring us. I would recommend you go anywhere else if you need cabinets read more

Horrible, horrible experience with Huntwood. I would give them no stars if I could. Very unprofessional even up to the head Manager Bryan. Was lied to by employee Sean about a bathroom vanity. He said the vanity would fit any sink from Home Depot but that wasn't the case when we went to install it. When I called to find out why it's not fitting, Sean said that we were well aware that a custom sink was going to have to be made for this cabinet. He blatantly lied to us. He also never told us it was a clearance item and non returnable. We would of never purchased this vanity if that was the case. Warning to others wanting to go here. Take your money somewhere else. Even the manager I spoke with had no intention of helping me, just kept saying excuse after excuse and just told me the item is non-refundable. I will NEVER return to this awful company. We had a horrible experience by paying these folks early before they completed the work. The salesman made several errors in her measurements and never was accountable. The cabinets are not well made and the finish is sub par. They gave us a touch up kit that doesn't match and their service guy is very old and appears to be doing them a favor because all he did was apologize. We still haven't gotten the cabinet completed to our satisfaction and they conveniently now don't answer our phone calls, texts or emails. Beware they over promise and underdeliver. Would not recommend the headache if you are considering buying from them. read more

If you are looking for service based cabinet company - THIS IS NOT IT!! During our complete fire renovation we contacted Huntwood for all our cabinets ($75,000). With a 16 week production time - after two months of wasted for basic design and drawings, they said they could not help us. Contacted them again through Doors & Millwork, received a quote a month after requesting it and with three days of receipt, cancelled the proposal and could not help us. Our Huntwood Cabinets do not stand to be of value to the rest of our home. These cabinets aren't built right, the lips in the shelves corner trim, a crown that sits on the top of the doors (no 1/8 gap), uneven door gaps, lopsided false fronts. Guides are not screwed down in the rear, causing drawers to sway and close unevenly. I won't get started on the hinges. They look horrible: gaps are all different: warped doors, The wall oven and micro sit too high, so we don't have a safe reach to place food in and out. And a larger space than recommended by the appliance company between the two makes an unsightly visual even with a dent in the wood to boot. The floor-to-ceiling cabinets should come out a min. of 1 1/2" past the base cabinet and did not, so now we have a dog-ear countertop edged around the corner to the F-T-C cabinet that looks like crap. They came dented, scratched, and puttied up. :( When you ask for Euro cabinets, they provide a framed cabinet with 1/4" gaps, and when the doors open, they hit each other. These cabinets are the worse I have ever seen in my entire life. read more

We remodeled our entire kitchen. Great cabinets. If you are looking for very high-end, this is the right place. Our experience was marred by very poor customer service. Technicians were sent out to work and too often showed up on the wrong days, and with inaccurate work orders. With each event, I called or emailed. Apologies were offered; however, with no apparent will or ability to fix the problem, poor communication. We are VERY HAPPY with the (worthy of 5 stars) product and quality of the work. I have a home that has Huntwood cabinets and recently have reached out to Contact them multiple times to make an appointment as I'm hoping to replace the doors as well as add a few cabinets. The customer service could not have been worse. I felt like I was majorly inconveniencing them and no effort to make the sale and many barriers to why they couldn't help me. I had to trouble shoot alternatives regarding how to make it work with no effort on their part on how to get me to come in (alternative day/ alternative sales person etc)and spend thousands of dollars. It costs zero more dollars for a worker to be polite and go the extra mile and makes a huge difference on the customers experience. read more

We recently built a new retirement home and installed Huntwood cabinets . We could not be happier with the cabinets, the design and the service. We worked with Angela at the Bellevue showroom. She was patient, responsive and so incredibly helpful during the whole process. We did have a couple of adjustments after the installation and they were all taken care of. My builder (Richmond American - also NOT recommended) uses Huntwood for their homes. My initial impression was GREAT - they have good options, the quality seemed good, I was happy. Then they installed them. Four of the 20-ish cabinet doors in our kitchen are seriously marred - either with large "dings" or scrapes or in one case, holes, where the installer put the handle at the wrong place, then just moved it an inch and filled-in the holes with brown putty. Initially, Huntwood was great - they came out, took measurements, pics, etc. and told me they would get back to me in a week with an estimate of when they would be able to replace them. Two months passed - during which I emailed and called different people multiple times - and nothing. After 3+ months I managed to get ahold of someone, who promised a response. Nothing. I called and emailed and got a "our service team will get back ASAP." It's not 3-months later - still nothing. We have an in-law on our lower level that we are fitting out with a kitchen. Clearly we will not be giving this $20k+ project to Huntwood. I would NOT recommend them. read more

We built a custom home in Snohomish and used Huntwood per our builder's recommendation. We absolutely LOVED the finished product! We did have issues with the initial rep's drawings as he kept drawing an in-wall oven but in fact we had a range, but it all got worked out after more communication. The cabinets looked beautiful and the price couldn't be beaten. We had the cabinets in the kitchen, all bathrooms and laundry room. Literally makes me so angry the way they have treated her. After all of this she just requested her installation fee back and nope. Called a second time and was finally able to get a response and a written quote within a few days. We decided to go through a different cabinet maker and the work they performed was superior to that of the existing Huntwood. We did go to their outlet to purchase a large cabinet (pantry) and upon returning home, discovered they gave us the wrong cabinet. Their "fix" was to instruct us to reverse the door hardware for left opening doors rather than the incorrect right opening doors they mistakingly gave us. read more

We actually like the cabinets, but their customer service is an abomination. We bought nearly 40k in cabinets from them for two kitchens and three baths, but when their guy selected cabinets that negated the purpose of two of our spaces, made us pay in full to replace them. The designer, Chad, came to our site and knew that two of the overheads were above a kitchen nook bench. He selected full height cabinets, so adults can't sit on half the bench. He also knew the small computer desk in kitchen would have...a COMPUTER...but again a full height cabinet was selected. They say "they can't do anything" because they sold direct to our contractor, who also claims no responsibility. At least the contractor is willing to eat the cost of one of the cabinets. Do NOT spend big money with these people. Their lack of regard for the huge purchase we made relative to the mistake made that could be fixed to do the right thing is a bit mind-boggling. Find another cabinet company; there are lots. If the expert they send know the purpose of a space and selects the wrong cabinets (defying common-sense), the homeowner should NOT be at fault. read more

As a contractor who installs cabinets I became increasingly frustrated with this company. The original cabinet order showed up wrong and damaged. It took 4 attempts to get it right. They didn't offer any compensation or reimbursement for myself or my customers, and their communication is non existant. Not a good experience for my first time with huntwood. I came in after a flooding incident to pick out new cabinets. I had an appointment with a designer. I knew exactly the wood and stain I wanted and showed her I wanted my bathroom Vanity just like the one in the showroom (hickory oasis) down to the door style everything. She got my dimensions and we talked about where drawers would be and that all went fine. I trusted that when she sent me the bid that everything we discussed was what we talked about and that she was putting in the same specs as the showroom piece. Well my cabinet came and everything was what was discussed except the finish. She didn't put the finish on my order as the same finish as the showroom piece nor did we talk in design about finishes or doing something different we only talked about styles because I had already told her I wanted everything like the show piece. I just trusted what she put in and what was on my contract was what we discussed. I didn't know there were different finishes bc we didn't go over them and assumed that she'd make it like the piece I told her I wanted it just like. So I get my cabinet and it's definitely not the same finish as the showroom piece but everything else was ordered correctly. When asking her about it i felt my questions were being avoided as to why it's different and doesn't acknowledge that she ordered it differently just states that it's the same as the sample. How was I to know the floor model finish was if we didn't discuss it? I'm frustrated and put off by the lack of acknowledgement of her mistake to order it the way we discussed and to not try and make it right . UPDATE: the designer called me and we had a good discussion and we both concluded that during the design process there was a miscommunication. She didn't realize I had wanted the matte as the doors shown after seeing the island had a satin finish and since cost was also an issue she thought that's what I wanted. I still wish it would have been clearer then as I wasn't aware of the difference or what I was getting but I have no previous experience and am novice. The company offered to refinish my existing piece in matte but at my cost since that finish is an up charge. There's also not a guarantee it would look how it would had it been made with the matte finish initially . I'm not thrilled at this resolution and still deciding if it's something I want to do but I do appreciate them attempting to make things right and also the designer explaining things as well made me understand it was truly a miscommunication on both our ends . She did a wonderful job and in the future I'll be sure to know what questions to ask to avoid this circumstance again. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. This company has been absolutely awful. Not only are they not friendly but the designer in there doesn't know what she was doing. We have duplex's and needed two kitchens redone completely identical with the same design. She messed both of them up. Not only that but she quoted us the same price on both the cabinets. I'm starting legal actions against this company. They made 15 mistakes with measurements, then took a month to reorder the cabinets (there was no sense of urgency at all), second time cabinets were delivered again with mistakes (they never even apologized) and then made two more mistakes after that. My construction was delayed by over two months because of them which costed me absorbent amount of money and inconvenience of not being able to finish the construction. Moreover, 3 of the mistakes they made were not salvageable, and three of the items I ordered and paid for, I still haven't received a refund. My calls, voice messages and emails are constantly ignored. It's been over 3 weeks since finally all cabinets were delivered, and I've been asking for refund for items I ordered but didn't get, and not only I haven't received a refund, but they haven't even responded. I had better customer service buying a $0.25 bubble gum at gas station than this company where I spent over $14,000. I have started legal process. Biggest mistake was buying cabinets from this company. The cabinets are expensive, mediocre quality, and people that work both at the store and corporate don't care about their customers, not properly trained to take the measurements, and completely incompetent. Their customer service manager, George Dunbar, said he has "taken special interest in my case", but he doesn't even respond. I just looked up reviews on their corporate Google listing and saw other people had same issue with George. Their sales specialist at Bellevue store, Yana Alentyeva, is completely incompetent. The mistakes she made with my cabinets should have never been made. Her manager, Derek Morrow, couldn't care less about customers and if his sales associates are making major mistakes. During a time of concern and high quarantine, Huntwood continues to remain open without any regards to employee health and safety! The impression is they do not want to pay employees when not putting in the hours as Governor Inslee has put forth to support the workforce during this time of high risk. Governor Inslee has also strongly pleaded that large companies, including factories such as Huntwood, to immediately close! I quote, "These companies have the obligation to the safety of the workplace," "higher risk employees should be allowed to stay home with benefits and pay," Inslee went on to state," the higher risk employees have the legal right to leave work and self isolate with the financial means and job security until this is over!" We would not recommend this company for custom cabinets. Their attention to detail and internal process is sub par. It took 5 months to get our custom built-in cabinets. One of the big issues was matching the paint to our existing trim. The first shipment had incorrect measurements and two different color paint. The second shipment fixed some of the measurements, but another color paint (different from the first colors). The third shipment was the same as the second. Finally had to have them come out and redo multiple cabinets and paint them in our home. It was freezing as the windows needed to be open to air out the house and loud. Left us with most of the work done, but still had to come back and touch up paint and fix caulking. The end product was fine, but I would not go through that again. Do you research and find another company even if your contractor recommends them! Oh, and "financial compensation" at the end even with all of the times we were put out and had to rearrange schedules. They said their policy states "correcting the issue so that the job is done right" - better have a lot of time open on your calendar to get there. read more

We had huntwood cabinets installed by our builders,reality homes. It became apparent that reality uses cheap labor and materials, so we won't be using them anymore. The cabinets look really nice on the outside, but when the over refrigerator cabinet came crashing down we could see the poor construction. Luckily it fell on the frig and not the new granite. The only thing in the cabinet was an electric skillet weighing only 6 pounds. Huntwood passes the blame onto the installer and the installer passes the blame back to huntwood. Both are at fault, but of course we are left with a broken cabinet. read more

I had a hard time trying to decide if I should give them 5 stars or not. But bottom line is.....the cabinets turned out beautiful and the installer was both talented and took pride in his work! These cabinets were an addition to cabinets already installed by the builder so there was the complication of matching. They did a fantastic job with this as well! We definitely had some delays; you do have to be patient with this company. I also didn't like some of the forms that we had to sign indicating that they weren't responsible for potential damage. The installer was very careful with our belongings. I am sure that the company has been screwed in the past by damage that wasn't from them and thus the forms. We bought our brand new home in 2016. Moved in on December 1, 2016. Our brand new Huntwood Sapalle cabinet doors came with a manufacturers defect that showed up 6 weeks after we moved into the house. The corners of the doors started to separate. They said it was a glue problem. All 47 cabinet doors had to be replaced. The second set of doors had the same problem, the corners started to separate on several doors. All 47 doors were replaced again in October 2017. The third set of doors were installed and so far the original DEFECT has not developed. However, 2 doors are 1/8 inch wider than they should be, so they don't close. One door overlaps the other. Two other doors have nicks and scratches. (Note: All 47 doors were shipped in a box with nothing separating them, just wood on wood). Since October (It's now February) we've been working with the distributor to get these four doors replaced. Just learned today that the manufacturer, HUNTWOOD has refused to replace the doors under warranty. Unbelievable! We will have to either have the doors planed to fit, or order new doors at our expense. Simply horrible service. read more

I am now looking at Huntwood for our third project. The previous 2 (working directly with the Huntwood showroom in Kent, WA) turned out just beautifully. The designer was great to work with and the cabinets are very high quality. We did have a few issues that were corrected very quickly and to our satisfaction. In a master bath I used spice pull-outs for hair product-type things and they were not the same size as the cabinets as kitchen and bath cabinets are not the same depth. Understandable error and no big deal. On the second project I think our installer goofed something up and Huntwood helped us out even though it wasn't their fault. At any rate, always great service. Now with the third project someone recommended another brand and I got pricing on those too. That company is made in British Columbia and with the current USD to CAD exchange rate being favorable to the US I was expecting a lower price. It was way higher! Don't know what that is all about though I do know people like to buy the most expensive stuff. I can't afford that, I am sticking with Huntwood. Sounds like people that had problems was because a third party business was involved. That is too bad, Huntwood makes very nice cabinets! read more

I am having a hard time writing this review about Huntwood and giving them a 1 star but after dealing with their service department for the 3rd time on the same issue I am forced to write this review. At or around 2015 Huntwood used a defective black plastic clips to hold on cabinet fronts that face the top of the sink position. These black clips turn and allow you to remove that panel to gain access to the front of the sink. They started to break shortly after the installation of our almost $30,000 cabinet purchase. Our designer Andrew, who is fantastic, came out to fix the first one that broke. Then another one broke a few weeks later and their service department acknowledged that they had a problem with the black clips and that they went to a stronger white clip. They said it would be two months before they could come out to fix the problem. I raised some hell and they came out in a couple of weeks but I had to be ready whatever day they could put us into they schedule. They were to replace all of the black clips during that visit with white clips that they said were stronger. I wasn't at home the last time they came and my wife said that the repair person talked a lot, played our piano and guitar and missed replacing one of the panels clips during that visit. We figured that out when one broke last Friday Dec 1st, 2017. I called and left a message with Huntwood service and they called back today, Dec 4th, 2017 and said that they have stopped coming out to replace these defective black clips. They will send them to us to fix ourselves but it took too much of their time to send repair people to fix this problem and they needed to stop doing it. He said they had a clause in the contract we signed that allowed this. Look at some of the other YELP reviews that state they had problems with the Service Department changing the terms of the warranty. My problem is they sent a repair person out and he was to fix all of the black clips on all of our panels and he missed one that should have been fixed. They don't seem to care about that. Our dilemma is that we have one more wall to fill with cabinets and we had planned to use Huntwood so all of the cabinets look the same throughout the house. I am afraid that Huntwood has major problems taking care of warranty issues. I just hope our cabinets continue to hold up. They are beautiful. I have stopped recommending people to use Huntwood. read more
