During one of my routine visits, they detected a melanoma at an early stage, allowing it to be taken care of successfully. I am grateful for their thoroughness and professionalism. One thing that has especially impressed me is the consistency of the care. When my longtime dermatologist, Dr. Byrne, went on leave, I was naturally a little concerned about seeing someone new. But when Dr. Holmes came in, she was every bit as professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough as Dr. Byrne. The entire staff deserves recognition. From the receptionists to the medical assistants to the physicians, everyone is welcoming, courteous, and genuinely caring. The office is spotless, well organized, and runs efficiently. It is not often you can say that a visit to the dermatologist is enjoyable, but that is exactly how I feel about Ringpfeil Advanced Dermatology. When my mom and I decided it was time to get some help from a Dermatologist we tried one place (and I don't remember the name) which was awful. The office was really dark which makes no sense at all especially when it comes to skin... good lighting helps... and the doctor himself was a bit irritating. He talked to my mom the whole time instead of to me (yes, I acknowledge that there is no way my mom wasn't going to be active in the conversation but his primary concern should have been me...) . I was interested in going on Accutane, but he wouldn't even discuss it with me because of the birth control thing. So no. Awful experience. And then we found Dr. Carroll. I've gone to both of the office buildings and definitely prefer the Media one. Sometimes the wait can go a bit long, so I suggest booking your appointment as early as you can. She was completely up for me going on Accutane, explained everything and was great to work with during the months of medication. If you are familiar with Accutane then you already know that it can be a bit complicated with women (who are able to conceive). She was great about acknowledging the craziness of it all whilst working with us to make things alright. She also paid good attention to how my body was handling the medication and made adjustments in dosage when appropriate. Since going of Accutane she has helped me out with my acne scars as best as able. Both of my parents have gone to her for mole checks and had no complaints. GREAT doctor.

My consult with the PA here was fine and they talked to me about different options given that I was pregnant, including a more affordable independent pharmacy in Newtown Square that delivers medications and ends up costing less than pharmacy chains. However, I'm docking one star because trying to get ahold of staff on the phone and through email has been difficult to sort out a billing issue. Despite multiple voicemails and emails, I received one reply that "someone would call me within the day", which did not happen even after I tried following up.

The visit itself was very thorough and Dr. Jadeja took time to explain my condition and answered all my questions. He seems very informed and up to date on current practices. I had an issue with one of the prescriptions and a simple phone call was all that he needed to promptly re-order them to my mail-order pharmacy. So, pleased that I've referred my mother, my aunt, and my daughter to the practice. I've also recommended the practice on local web pages (Facebook, etc.) Unfortunately, today I had the worst experience with an appointment for my minor child who was scheduled to see Dr. Amy Leib for a 6-month follow-up appointment. I received an e-mail asking to confirm this appointment 3 days prior, which I did. When I arrive to the office 10 minutes prior to the appointment time I was told my daughter wasn't on the schedule. I was then informed that a staff member took a message from me that I had canceled the appointment. And, they called me back on my cell phone and I stated I didn't wish to reschedule at this time. I explained that that never happen. I never made a phone call to the office. I had only confirmed via e-mail. I was informed several minuets later that Dr. Leib would not see my daughter. Please keep in mind that these appointments are generally about 10-15 minutes long. I was furious and explained my daughter takes medication and it's important to be see to regulate the meds. A staff member went to speak to Dr. Leib. A short time later I was told that she could only see my daughter if she had a cancellation or at the end of her office hours. I was already going into work late, and more importantly my daughter was missing time from school, for this 8:00am appointment. We couldn't possibly sit in the waiting are for God knows how long with the possibility that someone would cancel. This was an unrealistic suggestion. I am overwhelmingly disappointment at Dr. Leib's lack of regard for her patient's and patient's family's time. Especially, when it was her staff's error. I will be sure to let everybody I've referred to Dermatology, LTD about this experience. Please keep this in mind prior to scheduling a visit.

Dr. Thieu then came in and carefully and thoroughly addressed every notation made and provided appropriate attention and treatment as needed. I was very impressed! Often doctors' appts. are hasty and superficial. This was the opposite. I have recommended this practice to several people and will continue to do so.
