The crew at Pure did an incredible job. Excellent assessment, great help with the insurance company, terrific customer service at each step. Multiple visits and consultations to work out the tricky parts. And when it came to the day of the work, they showed up with 15 guys at 5:30am and had it done by 1:00pm -- it was amazing to watch. Absolute hustle. Everything was immaculate after, including dragging all of the nearby turf and access points with magnets to collect any loose nails. Great service throughout. I am not in the habit of writing glowing reviews but I gotta say, these folks did an amazing job. I'll hire them again when my house needs a new roof.

My rental property in Alexandria got hit with back-to-back storms, and my tenant texted that a man named Jesse knocked on the door to offer free roof inspection services. Yes, someone knocking on the door usually raises a flag for me, but I checked out their website and thought, "Why not?" Within a week, Jesse met with an inspector from my insurance company (USAA), and Jennifer from the office sent the proposal to them. Billy (company owner) and I met online to get all the contract details in order, Melissa coordinated a date with my tenant, and when the day came, the Pure Roofing Team replaced the roof in one day. The tenant reported that the roof looks fantastic and that the clean-up was impeccable. The team made everything so seamless and easy; the hardest thing I had to do was pick out the tile color. Their quality work just upped the value of my property, and the best part: I only had to pay the deductible! I live in one of the upstairs units and about a year ago I noticed coloring on the bedroom ceiling. I didn't think much of it because I remembered I was told my roof was in pretty good shape. When I eventually went up to take a look I didn't see evident spots of leaking but I saw the roof needed some attention badly, plus I knew my gutters needed replacing. I contacted a few roofers to come give estimates and got different opinions on how to address. A few I felt would only bandage the situation. I need a fix that would last at least a few years. Mr. Marshall came by on a Wednesday and we discussed the options I had received and he gave a thoughtful explanation and quoted me a fair price. He also scheduled for early Monday morning. We rate them high on key variables, including but not limited to value relative to price, quality workmanship, attention to detail, employee professionalism, and customer service orientation. We recommend them without reservation. Our selection process included approximately six firms specializing in roofing, all in the Northern Virginia area. We cross-referenced multiple public sources, including Angie's List, Yelp, and Google reviews in order to create a working list of credible firms that met minimum acceptable standards on things like size of firm, ownership of firm, operating history, and number of verifiable reviews. We met with each firm for an initial estimate, reviewed each proposal for warranty (labor and materials) and contingencies, and then contracted with the selected firm after several weeks. From the outset, Kevin Villanueva was engaged, demonstrating interest and explaining why he thought LCR Exteriors was well-suited for job, including explaining why they preferred GAF shingles as opposed to CertainTeed shingles. Their bid wad competitive and detailed, yet concise and clear. We then reached out to Kevin in the final stages to add a few elements to the job. We ultimately chose to work with LCR given our desire to partner with a credible firm now and in the future. LCR Exteriors is at a different phase in their growth than other firms, but we believed they fit our needs well. The new roof installation occurred on time and under difficult weather conditions. The crew leaders, including Miguel and Ronaldo, were friendly and worked tirelessly to support their crew. We understood the timeline and different contingencies, such as the potential need for plywood if there was rot underneath the existing shingles. After scheduling what was very clearly described to me as a free roof quote and inspection, the employee who visited my property stated from his truck that I had no roof damage and that he didn't work for free. I explained that I had found a missing shingle and was suspicious of a certain area of my roof that was hard to see from the ground. I explained that I had spoken with two other employees to schedule that inspection and they had explained to me numerous times that they would provide a free inspection and quote based on the damage as part of their standard sevices. He repeated that he didn't work for free, inspections are $300, and drove off. I will not consider K&M services in the future. If you are concerned about having a similar experience, I would recommend you do the same.
