However, we came away really impressed, mainly because of how they handled things when something else went wrong. The initial cleaning was performed well and decently priced. However, a few days later some debris/garbage from one of WGH's neighboring jobs ended up in our yard as it was a windy day, and the cleanup wasn't as thorough as it should've been so debris was left in our yard. Not a great situation, but what happened next really stood out. Martín, the owner, responded quickly, took full responsibility, and even came by in person to make sure everything was properly cleaned up. He was thoughtful, professional, and clearly cared about making things right. We appreciated the follow-through. Overall, it left a really positive impression. This company does amazing work. The owner, Martin, goes out of his way to help customers solve their issues, and offers a very very good value. We had an overflowing gutter that rotted out a soffit. I was expecting to deal with a gutter company and then a carpenter for the soffit. Martin and his worker took care of everything. They even noticed and fixed a few places where our solar panel installers had made holes in the roof, and he patched them properly and showed me pictures. The service fee was very reasonable. Today, we had a leak in a different area. Martin took a break from another job to come and check it out. He really is a good person. He quickly pointed out that cleaning my existing gutter wrap system wasn't going to work well and I would still have overflow problems. It was quickly obvious that the gutter wrap made a very nice home for birds - every corner of the house had a bird's nest! Martin was responsive to my request, got a team out quickly for a quote. 2. The quoted cost was very reasonable and the quote clearly explained what was included. Martin called me to make sure I understood their proposed approach, which involved adding siding to an exterior wall that was currently inappropriately covered with roofing material. Martin from WGH provided one of four estimates we reveived for a leaking roof. Martin was prompt and friendly, performed the most thorough assessment of the four roofers, made the right diagnosis, and provided the lowest quote. He said the job could be done in a day and wouldn't be a big deal. Naturally, we wanted to hire him. Before signing the contract, however, I noticed that at least one reviewer on here mentioned that Martin isn't insured, and insurance and license info isn't on WGH's website. I asked Martin about this, and he provided his license and proof of insurance promptly. Great! When I called him to discuss moving forward and scheduling the job, however, he was suddenly unavailable for the next three months. He said something that implied he was offended by my question about licensing and insurance, though I may have misinterpreted that. In any event, we thought it was strange given his promptness and our multiple communications back and forth that his unavailability wasn't mentioned earlier. Since our roof was leaking, we went with another contractor who was available the same day and offered to come close to matching Martin's price. It's too bad this didn't work out! read more
