They responded quickly and their estimate for the job was substantially lower than an estimate from another contractor. They were actually able to start the job sooner than expected, and completed it quickly. While Brian was on site I asked about also pressure washing the both my balconies and they accommodated that request, and then my additional request to re-caulk areas of the balconies. Bottom line up front: Impact Roofing is not a company that takes hands-on pride of their work. They will send a team of people who barely speak English to do your project with no supervision. The company will go hands-off as soon as they get your deposit. I almost never write bad Yelp reviews and I have been sitting on writing this review for a while but I had to because I am still so upset with the quality of service. When giving me my estimate, they sent a real professional to actually survey the property, go up on the roof, take measurements, etc. I had a really good feeling about the company. However, the person who gave me the estimate quit the company and I was reassigned to someone else who never physically came by to see the property. On the day of the installation, the team that they sent had no familiarity with the specifics of the project (which was attic insulation, gutter installation and rain barrel installation). I had to explain everything to them all over again, like they'd never heard of it before. It didn't help that they didn't really speak English and I had to show them what a rain barrel was with hand gestures. The workers installed my backyard rain barrel backwards, and my front yard rain barrel upside down. They took bricks from another part of my yard to mount my rain barrel without asking. The worst part by far: One of the workers, without asking, cut down my Virginia creeper plant that I had been growing and training for three years. It covered the front of my house and attracted birds and butterflies in the spring. Now it's destroyed. There was literally no reason to do this, he didn't ask for permission or anything (he said "it's poison!" when I asked why he did it; it's not, it's a harmless native plant). My house used to be unique, now it looks like every other house on the block. This last offense was intolerable, I called the company and demanded they sent someone down. They ultimately discounted the project by $2600, which was fine but did not compensate me for my loss. This was the first time any supervisor actually came to the property. It was clear the supervisor didn't know the workers at all, and he couldn't communicate with them any better than I could. The management had no interest in coming by to check work after it was complete, either. I had to reach out to them to request that they do so. They were perfectly content to just let their workers do it and leave for the day. Ultimately, they did the job that was on the contract, hence the two stars: they insulated my attic, installed gutters, and installed rain barrels. But everything else was a terrible experience. I wish I could undo hiring them in the first place. read more

I wanted to share a rare experience with Kiley from Impact Roofing. I called looking to obtain a quote to reattach a wooden plank that was coming off the top of my home adjacent to the roof. The location was too high for me to access without climbing onto the roof, which I was not comfortable doing.In explaining what I needed to Kiley, I was amazed that Kiley took time to understand my issue and then recommended I NOT use her company, because for such a small job the company's minimum billing threshold per job would exceed what my repair should cost. She did not want me to overpay! I explained I was having difficulty finding a handyman/repair person who was comfortable climbing onto the roof to access my repair, which is why I called her company. Kiley subsequently worked with me and found another repair person who would do the repair at a much lower cost, who I ultimately used. Matt has done a very good job of keeping me appraised throughout the process. Materials were backordered, and changes in schedule occurred, but to an extend that is the nature of the business. Fast forward less than 2 years later (meaning within the warranty) and I have a leak in the same spot..and enough to need walls taken down inside dut to mold. Called them up and was told I would get called back that afternoon or the next am and ...crickets...nada...this was over 2 weeks ago..therefore I DONT RECOMMEND THEM! Within a month of purchase, I had significant leaks throughout my home, and it became clear that the builder did not properly install our property's roof or my unit's flat roof deck. We spent months trying to work with the builder to address the leaks, but the builder offered no help and our home sustained more and more water damage. Then, Impact Roofing saved the day!! Impact Roofing handled three separate projects with our property to address different issues with the roof and the flat roof deck and since their work on our home, we have not had any further issues with leaks. I emailed and called the technician and the office manager as was told they would get back to me but they never answered my questions. Maybe the job was too small and they weren't interested, but they could have just told me that rather than ignoring me. read more

The skylight at my rental property had a leak so I contacted Impact Roofing. The admin staff were very responsive and friendly. Though following the initial inspection, the roofer, Mason, left me a message saying I didn't have a skylight. A bold statement to the homeowner. I called him back several times and he never returned my call. I was only able to speak with the admin staff. I even sent interior and satellite pictures pointing out the skylight. After following up the next day (still no call from Mason) I was able to talk to the admin staff (Mason had no problem answering their calls). Once they reached him, they called me back to say he was "no longer interested in taking this job" because he could not "safely reach the skylight"... that I apparently don't have. I have had several other roofers "reach the skylight" on my property before. That's literally the job of a roofer. *Update: Response to business owner* Mason's original message to me made it clear he didn't even think I had a skylight, so was clearly unaware of the flat part of my roof, thus, his lack of access to my skylight was not "safety". Additionally, he just called and left a message saying he *did* make it to the skylight but wasn't interested in taking the job because it was "too small" and "we have a lot going on". So which is it? Also, it was made clear early on to me that he was unwilling to try to access my roof through the interior of the house via the skylight (per prior correspondence with Ingrid), so even if someone was at the house at the time of the inspection, that wouldn't have provided him access per his reported constraints. I have no problem with a company making a mistake or not wanting to take a job, but at least be upfront and honest about it. I don't think that's asking too much. read more

Fabulous job on actual installation. Identified and replaced over 18 sheet of plywood sheathing. Supervisor came out near end of day to see if I was satisfied. Just had my roof replaced and everyone was wonderful to work with. Mason came out and did the initial inspection. He also came out when my insurance had their inspector come out. Ingrid and Kiley handled the scheduling and were very helpful as I picked the color. The installation team were so efficient with time.
