We had an excellent experience with JR of Perfection Hauling and Excavating. Hired him to grade…read moreour backyard, add some drainage, remove debris, and add topsoil at our new (old) house in Arvada. JR came up with a good drainage plan on the spot during the estimate. He was easy to work with, reliable, and communicated well. Best of all, his work was top-notch. We solicited two other bids and he beat them both on price, and came sooner than they did. I didn't take a "before" picture", but wish I had. Place looks completely different, and you can't see the expertly laid-in drainage. He even spread the half-yard of leftover topsoil in our front yard and evened it out. This was not agreed to, he went above and beyond. I've seen others comment about waiting for him to get back about an estimate - He's a one-man operation and you may need to be a bit flexible on communication as he's his own scheduler, business manager, and worker. I found his communication just fine. Really glad I found JR.

I've used Altitude Hauling several times for junk removal and they've always been fantastic. They're very well priced and worth their weight in gold because they have no problem getting big items out. For example, we recently had them take a stacked washer/dryer as well as an ancient, broken freezer and they were so quick. Everything from booking online through the items being picked up is so convenient!

We were not outside to witness this, but I ran to the alley to see the Jolly Junk truck driving away as the wires now lay down across our yard and hanging low in the alley. I called Jolly Junk to express the issue but it was quickly defensive that we didn't actually witness it. Fair enough, except that there was nobody else in the alley. The incident itself was frustrating as we need to ensure with an electrician that nothing is wrong, but the lack of accountability is worse. I imagine their service - albeit expensive - is fine. But if anything goes wrong, I hope you won't have to work with Lindsay or her team. We'll certainly be using other services from now on.

Joe Florez is dishonest and completely unprofessional. He was paid a deposit of half down, he would show up to the job for a couple hours a day, spend most of that time sitting down making personal phone calls, and little to no work would be done. He continuously lied about when the job would be finished, asked for more money (which we gave him in hopes that it would motivate him to finish the job!), and his subcontractors stopped showing up because he spent the money we paid him that he was supposed to use to pay them. By the time we decided to fire him less than half the work we hired him to do had been completed. We paid him far more money than we should have, but just wanted the nightmare to stop. But after we fired him, he had the nerve to sue us for the remaining balance! On top of it all, the work he did do was done wrong because he took shortcuts and showed absolutely no pride in his work. This "business" is a complete joke run by a thief. If I could rate it zero stars I would.
