This business was not interested in even reviewing a quote request to have some landscaping work done. Response to a Yelp quote request was "unable to service" and "I'm booked for this time." While I can understand being busy, it must be nice to turn away work and customers without knowing any particulars on when the work would be expected to be done. "Fan" and his crew replaced my sod and created both a rock and brick border along my hedges and driveway. They also relocated my sprinklers so they could efficiently cover all areas of my yard. This was the most crucial part of the job since the sprinklers were not done correctly when we bought the house. The inefficiency of how the heads were originally placed always nagged me. Every summer I had to continually hand water or buy extra hoses/soakers to cover the brown, dry grass areas. Prior to laying new rock under and around my hedges, they cleaned out the debris and placed new landscape fabric underneath. Don't hesitate to call him. Our small backyard had been destroyed by a renter's dog. Grass was gone and the dirt was hard and cracked. I googled landscape companies and Brother had very good reviews. He called me back quickly and came the next day for a quote. We agreed and set an appointment for sod in one week. He had an opening earlier and called to see if he could start then. There were several workers and they rototilled the ground, added more dirt, and put in the sod. They refreshed the rock, dug around the sprinklers, and cleaned it all up. Looks fantastic. Phan and his energetic crew just finished an amazing job in our yard in Denver's Platt Park neighborhood. Amazing, creative flagstone work ! They custom cut a variety of flagstone pieces to create ~75 feet of pathways in three different areas and a beautiful 30 foot terraced border wall around our large maple tree. They also expanded our flower garden areas. The garden project included removing sod, preparing the soil and installing edging, weed barrier, top soil and mulch. He and his crew were totally professional and efficient throughout the whole process, even with the changes that we needed to make in the middle of the job! Phuoc is professional, reliable, responsive, efficient, honest, and talented.  I wanted to replace my old deck with a patio. Although I initially planned to have a single level of pavers at ground level, Phuoc recommended a raised patio surrounded by pavers. In the end, he was right -- it looks better. My plan would have created too big a step down from the back door (like falling off a small cliff). He chose materials that matched my house and yard well. Overall, I felt I could trust his recommendations and leave the planning up to him. Once he got started, he was very efficient, completing the job in only three days. We received multiple bids. Phen was by far the most responsive. He came over multiple times, he gave us multiple samples, and went the extra mile on the front end to get our business. We had multiple stumps and bushes that needed removed, a dilapidated retaining wall that needed removed, and our turnaround time was very quick since we wanted to get some trees planted before the snow fell. Phen quickly fit us into his schedule, removed all stumps that we requested and even a few more.. They put in a new retaining wall for us, planted some trees for us, and even blew the leaves out of our yard on several days. I forgot a section of in the front that needed to match the back and he added that work and got it all done on schedule. The work this crew did for us exceeded our expectations on all levels! These guys do amazing work, are on time every day, they stay on schedule, they do not nickel and dime you on every turn, and the price is very reasonable. First, Phan responded quickly and began the work right away with an honest and reasonable bid. He and his crew were professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The front side yard sod was replaced with a variety of rocks and mulch. The backyard project was also xeriscaped with rock, mulch and a patio I asked for using the flagstone I had. They seem to be a relatively new business, overall, I have had a good experience. They came out to blow out the sprinklers and aerated the front and back yard, and it was less than $100. Then I asked them back to take and clean up the leaves in the fall and they wanted over $200 for that service. I was able to talk them down a bit, but that seemed like a lot to me, especially when the previous service was so reasonable. I would work with them again, but I would make sure to get all pricing beforehand. It is also important to note that as of this fall, they were a cash only business, so be prepared for that! read more

In response to the owner: Phen did come out 1 time and we talked on the phone a couple of times as I worked to decide on a landscaper and the exact details of the project. I was upfront about that from the beginning. After deciding on Brother Landscaping as being a good company to work with, Phen came out one more time and we talked for a half hour to finalize details, supplies, and timeline. He sent me a quote that we agreed upon and finally I told him I needed to submit HOA approval to HRCA. I got approval in 2 days which is not common but that was so Phen could start on his timeline. The day before the project was to begin, I texted him that I had approval and he could start the next day as he wanted. I asked what time he was going to start and his exact response was "I am so sorry about that. Could you find someone else to take care of it. Thanks!" I'm confusion I called numerous times and texted. All I got back was the same response. No explanation. The next day I called and he answered and said the same thing. I asked what his concerns were about the job and he wouldn't give me an explanation. Continued to say sorry find someone else. I asked if another job was taking too long or that he needed extra time to start the project, he kept saying no and sorry. After this conversation I left the Yelp review in hopes he doesn't do this to other customers moving forward. He called me after upset with me that I left a review and texted me asking why I would leave this review because he said "sorry." Then after I said I wasn't changing the review he offered to do the job again. Obviously I have chosen a different route. read more
