Not as many smaller furniture pieces and very limited selection of homewares/decor compared to some of the other locations that I have been to. Staff were all very friendly. Shop was fairly well organized and easy enough to navigate. I have been shopping at Habitat ReStore (other locations) for many years now and I must say I was quite surprised by how expensive things were at this location. Prices are of course less than if you were to buy brand new but they were much more expensive than what I've seen at other locations. That said, it can't hurt to stop in and take a look for yourself (especially if you have a flexible budget to work with!).

I live in Boston, but have a rental in Dover, and after searching in vain in Massachusetts for a landscaping company that will let me shovel gravel or dirt into my car to take away myself, I have come to the realization that it is worth it for me to drive to NH just for this stuff! Great example... I just got about a tenth of a yard of drainage stone, and 0.4 yards of superloam for an above ground garden. If I were to go to a box store or nursery, and get this in bags, it would cost more than $50. All the landscape companies I contacted in MA either required at least a purchase of 4 yards for delivery, or would only sell as little as half a yard, ONLY if you have a truck into which they can dump it. And even if they did let me buy it, the prices would have come to $40. I got the job done through Sherwood for $10, and with some of the friendliest folks I have had the pleasure of working with. I have gone to them several times, and am always impressed and happy that I got to work with them. My only complaint is that they don't have more varieties of rocks/pebbles. But all in all...this is a winner.

Dan Wilde took down the part numbers i needed and also took a couple pictures of one item he wasn't sure about, and said he would get back to me by phone and send quote via email. Received a quote by email later that afternoon and responded to it when i got home from work. Dan called me Monday morning (Jan. 10th) to confirm order and get credit card info then said he will place order with supplier. I called Dan on January 27th to inquire about my order. He said he would contact warehouse manager and get back to me. He called an hour later and said warehouse manager has not received anything yet, but will contact Dan to contact me as soon as he gets it in. On February 9th I called Dan to inquire about my parts and he called supplier to inquire and they never placed the order. I told Dan if they could get me my parts within 5 days, continue with order, if not cancel my order and i will order off Amazon. Dan called me back a few minutes later and said that the supplier could not meet my demands of 5 days. After a month of waiting for parts, all the hard work repainting the bathroom and now has to be redone as the shower steam ruined the ceiling and walls. Cost me more money trying to do business locally. Ordered my parts from Amazon and had them in 6 days. Lousy way to do business and for now on, no more shopping local!

A comment on Kate's review - I don't understand why anyone would think that a credit of a specific discount type ($400 off delivery) could be applied to some other part of a order. If the $250 delivery fee that was negotiated (instead of a usual $400 fee) and was paid and then refunded, there is no $150 to apply somewhere else. The store's position on this makes sense to me.

When my key with new battery would not start my Toyota Corolla, Phl, the Manager, I believe, leaped in to help! At first he got the snow plow to try to jump start to no avail, but Phil stayed with me. He had the intelligence to finally realize my key had been wiped and had to be reprogrammed. He sat in the car on a busy, cold, snowy day with me managing the all call and reprogramming of my FREE new key! When we had to wait, he made sure I had a comfortable chair in the office and free popcorn. I was so touched by the whole operation - Phil saved me the expense of calling AAA or having to buy a new key and he waved off the plow driver who returned to ask for payment for trying (unsuccessfully) to jump start my car.
