I had a bad experience with the machine shop counterperson. He was unable to write an estimate or even itemize work requested. He gave an estimate over the phone and still could not do any estimate in writing. He just kept saying i was getting ahead of myself. The Machinist was very helpful and i thought all would go well but the counterperson was awful to work with. He was very happy to refund my 300 dollars and not have me as a customer but i did nothing wrong. I Just wanted to know how much in writing on a ticket. He could not have been less helpful and he ruined an otherwise good experience. read more

I cannot say enough about the crew at Hust bros. I went into find tail light covers for my RV... Not as simple as one I think. Weren't even available online without the whole unit! After searching for a while Bryce found what I needed and essentially saved me about $50. While I was waiting, Addom and Fernando gave me some excellent help and advice regarding paint restoration on my RV. Thank you (AGAIN) guys for your help, patience and professionalism. On a sidenote... I got back to my neighborhood and shared my experience at Hust brothers, and my neighbor started jumping in with their own positive stories. Yesterday I found a welder on the Hust Bros. website that I wanted. I am almost 1 hour away, so I called and asked if they had it in stock. They did. So I said "you are open until 6:00, right?" and the guy said, "yes". So I drove all the way down there. I got there at 5:20 and they guy behind the desk says "the welding shop closes at 5:00" so he says he will ask the manager. He comes back a few minutes later and says "the welding shop is closed and the manager doesn't have a key". Ok, so if someone calls and asks about a welder, then says "you are open until 6:00, right?" wouldn't you think, OH, he must need the welding department and that closes at 5:00. I BETTER TELL HIM THAT. No, you idiots made me drive all the way down there for nothing. I am totally pissed. That is terrible customer service. read more

Accounting department is rude. Someone needs to go back to school and actually learn what accounting is. You don't return customers payment when they have an open balance for MORE than the payment, there isn't a "huge credit" sitting out there, we still OWE you money. Not impressed. read more

Called in to have them give me an estimate on a cylinder honing. Albert answered the phone and was acted as I was wasting his time right out of the gate. At 42 yrs old, I can understand being frustrated at work; however, this guy was over the top rude, condescending, and just plain out-of-line. I will never recommend or have any work done there after this experience. I could only imagine how they treat customers when something goes wrong! Good luck Yuba/Marysville, but I'd recommend taking it elsewhere! Ps. When he reluctantly gave me the estimate for my single cylinder KTM 150 dirt bike; he said anywhere from $30-160! Went to have a D16 VTEC head resurfaced here. When they returned it, it was missing all the sensors and VTEC solenoid. When I asked where it was, they couldn't find it, and said it arrived with no solenoid or sensors. They said to call back on Wednesday to see if another guy had misplaced it. Called back Wednesday, started to get the run around "We dont have it, We never took it off..." and some rude words exchanged, assuming that I was trying to score free parts from the shop, which isn't the case. F "I have a VTEC solenoid right here for you, I got it from one of my boys." Me "That's cool and all, but what about the temp sensors and the coolant port?" F "Actually, I don't have anything for you, you just said it was the solenoid. I don't have anything." Me "That head was ready to install on the block and all I needed was it to be resurfaced, I know there were sensors on there when i brought it in because I made sure not to break them when I put it in that box." F "Well I didn't take anything off that head except the cam." Me "That's fine, I never accused you of taking anything, I just want the parts back that were on the head when I dropped it off." F "....call back later." "...Call back later" Called the owner or machine shop manager, let him know what was going on. Got a call back about 15 minutes later saying they found my box of parts. Stopped by to pick up my parts, broken water neck and missing one of the temperature sensors. This head came in ready to swap onto another block, now I have to find another water neck and temp sensor. But they did an ok job cleaning it (soaking in simple green for the few days they had it would have worked better), never heard the results or got a result from pressure test, and what else would you expect from a resurface, besides that it was done. I wont be bringing back anything else to the Hust Bro's machine shop. A $40-$60 head resurface ended up being $120+broken parts. read more

Horrible service ive been told everyday a different excuse for why i have no received a part that i ordered i get told itll be there thurs thurs comes not there then they tell me all day Friday its in transit on its way then on sat i call and oh we never got it they are full of excuses and will lie to you to make you happy receiving this part was important to me so i could make an event in southern california but with this store only telling me lies after lies i have no idea when my car will be fixed or when my part will be in horrible service i will not recommend this place to anyone read more

Reasonable prices and amazing advice, found this place by accident with high blood pressure and lil. Patience for oreilys and reibes being I was waiting on a part for 2 wks from both places. I went in here got the part same day and same price as other places. They have an overwhelming, cool and well stock of auto parts and supplies. Have to give 5 stars because of a gentleman that works there. He returned an automobile part hassle free. During the return i accidentally dropped a large some of money on the floor while pulling my wallet out of my pocket. Sometime after i had left and arrived at the bank i realized the large sum of money i was going to deposit was missing. Called the store and the same gentleman Royce answered the phone. Asked Royce to check on the floor by the counter. He said yes your money is here on the floor. He returned all of it to me. That level of honesty is very rare. He even let me order over the phone so someone else could pick it up before closing! GREAT customer service. I needed an engine machined and rebuilt and needed to talk with the guy that builds the engines to let him know what kind of build I wanted. I went in on 4 separate occasions and every time I went in the guy that builds engine was not there. The first time, I went on a Saturday and was told to come back during the week. No problem. The following week, I went in and was told he had just left to some emergency. The 3rd time I was told he was at a meeting. The 4th time, I was told he just stepped out. That was it for me. I figured if he was not any of the times I went, he must not be building engines. I told the person that was there that I was done coming in and he acted like "oh well". I made an effort to do business here as they built one other engine for me like 7 years ago without issues. I will take my engine to Sacramento to get it built over there. This was my experience in the machine shop side only. read more

Went to the machine shop to get an Isuzu 5.2l diesel cylinder head checked for cracks and have the head all checked out see if it needed to be machined and have injector cups replaced, they said they get back to me in 2 to 3 days, an entire week went on so I called them and they haven't even touched it, then 3 days later again I call them and they said they got it on the tester that they call me later that night, never did they finally called me the next night saying they needed the injectors and thermostat housing to pressure test it. I was very upset at this point, 2 weeks had gone and still no results, and they never did give me a price to replace the injector cups or tell me if they could even do it. So I went down there and picked the head up to send it to another machine shop, they tried to charge me full price, I said for what you didn't do anything basically, didnt even tell me that the head is good or bad, all you did was waste my time, so after spending my entire lunch break hour down there arguing with the guy, ended up giving him half the cost. And they threw away my old head gasket which I needed, so I would know which one I needed to get, because they make 3 different ones for that engine. Also they are not knowledgeable at all was arguing with me that you can't machine the head because it had an idler gear in that back, I had done my research and they make 3 different headgaskets at different thicknesses for that purpose. These guys don't know what there doing will never go to them again! Rather drive to the bay area then waste my time with them! read more

purchased a swaybar link for my 2009 chevy HHR.Gave them the make,model and year. Got the car on jacks and discovered that they had sold me the wrong part. Ok so it happens. I call them and explained the problem, talked to a fellow named Adam, he told me that he would have to order the correct part , but I would have to come in and pay first. I offered to give him my credit card number over the phone,but he wouldn't take it. I explained that I was an hour roundtrip away and didn't think it was right that I should have to make the drive, when it was their mistake, and make the drive again when the correct part came in. He said that was all that he could do. I ask to speak to the manager and he left me on hold for 15 minutes. I finally got tired of waiting and hung up. I have done business with them for over 20 years, and this is how they treat their customers? Well this is one customer they won't see again. read more
