First, let me say I did not seek the services of Top Hill Landscaping (Jamarcus Wallace). I was minding my business, and he came knocking at my door. After I decided to accept their services (my first mistake), the price changed more than once, and only higher and higher, of course. Initially, the services were being performed well. Things were going as expected even though it was much higher than originally quoted. After some time Jamarcus Wallace came to my door for payment (after asking for more money), I gave him the payment (my second mistake). He and his team continued working for 20-30 minutes, then left without completing the job. My yard and even worse, my neighbor's yard, was left a complete mess. They left an entire tree in my backyard just lying there; the tree they cut up was thrown in the bushes in my backyard. Multiple branches, large and small, were dropped over the fence into my neighbor's yard. I contacted Jamarcus Wallace about the condition of the yards. He stated he would be back the next day, and I believed him (my third mistake). Of course, he did not show up the next day and has not been back since. I tried to contact them for the better part of 3-4 days, but they never responded. Accepting services from Top Hill Landscaping (Jamarcus Wallace) has cost me a great deal of money and caused trouble with my neighbors. Just be aware and do not trust them if you decide to do business with Top Hill Landscaping (Jamarcus Wallace).

You can never talk to a person at Lawn Doctor. When calling, everything goes into voice mail and responses are done via e-mail or their web site. No customer service. So when I was again - I am not pleased with the way my lawn looks, they sent out the field manager, Doug Rogers. Mr. Rogers feels that I need a course in WHY my lawn looks so bad, NOT WHAT HE IS GOING TO DO to make my lawn look better. His explanations was different grass in different lawns. He suggested that "I" bury an empty coffee can in my lawn, fill it with water to see what bugs I have. This has absolutely NO value to me. My lawn LOOKS LOUSY. I requested that Mr. Rogers never be sent back to my home again, I requested a refund of the unused portion of my prepaid services, which they did comply with. I have changed to a local lawn service company that answers the phone in person and cares about their customers and the lawns they care for, which is what I was expecting, and NEVER RECEIVED from Lawn Doctor. I had seen many ads for this service, so I was excited to try it out. It comes off as misleading, especially since he said they aren't even based here. When scheduling over the phone, I was told pricing depends on volume of items, but no "starting at" price or anything. I was surprised at the prices (starting at $169), and especially surprised at the ADDITIONAL $150 labor fee that I also wasn't told about. I was later told that if I had my items in a central location that I wouldn't have to pay the $150 fee, but if I could move them myself then I wouldn't have to hire a service. What I thought was going to be an easy and reasonable service turned into feeling misled and scammed.
